The Christian life, when you think on it, is an ascension, a journey upwards to heaven in Christ. Our architecture proclaims the same, steeples, arches, windows soaring up to heaven like Chesterton's proverbial "flight of arrows."

That said, we particularize and focus the movement in tomorrow's Feast, celebrating Christ's being taken up into the heaven to sit in glory at the right hand of the Father. Yes indeed, our great High Priest who has entered the Holy of Holies in eternity. The veil is torn asunder.

Crooks Liars Thieves And A Saint

The whole-of-government approach to failure in a 20-year, $2 trillion fraud and money-laundering scheme has resulted in an epiphany for Americans: their country is ruled by crooks, liars, and thieves.

The abysmal failure of America’s once-vaunted and widely respected military to even face the truth of its own incompetence heaps salt on the wounds of this epiphany. The military, the intelligence community, academia, journalism—the list of institutions plagued by moral bankruptcy and Baghdad Bob-level f-ckery goes on and on and on. Few Americans have confidence in America. Pile on a huge helping of COVID-19 hysteria, lockdowns, mounting shortages in housing and basic consumer goods, a quickly growing income gap between society’s poor and wealthy, and all-around lies and gaslighting—America is in trouble.

Like with the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan, our defeat there has exposed the nation’s failed leadership busy looting and wrecking what is left of our country. We can now see that we are led by the worst of humanity—a collection of garbage elites, tyrants, and political grifters. Like the Soviets before us, there are two only two classes in modern America: the ruling class, and everyone else.

 

Solution? Time to clean house. Good luck with that, perhaps at the ballot box. Sorry, just kidding. In marked contrast to the epic chicanery of our rulers, today's the Feast of St. Louis, 12th c King of France. He was famous for his holiness of life:

Shouldn't Do That

 

Steal an election. Shouldn't do that, just don't do it. Pretend you're for the working poor as you open the border to low paid labor and cause a scamdemic to make yourself even richer. Shouldn't do that either. It's wrong, very wrong. Ship all your industry overseas to fund that beach house. Not ethically sound. At. All. Shouldn't do that. 

Watch your cities turn into urban hellholes while you sit back on the profit, but don't worry, trans bathrooms and gay flags. Big mistake. Shouldn't do that. Kill your babies in the womb in the name of freedom. You most especially shouldn't do that, you utter satans.  

Go on, blame your egregious breach of social contract, of governors to governed, on imaginary third parties and watch, Versailles-style, that illusion come crashing down.

Did you watch Joe Biden's SOTU address last night? No? Don't worry, neither did anyone else much, which is weird given he's the most popular president in history. 

You'd think that the amazing figure of 81 million votes would be reflected in Joe's viewing stats, but no. They're not. A cynic might say the whole thing's a phony, faked-up, fraudulent sham.

A bit like "Trump's a Russian spy!" But regardless, Joe, popularly known as "The Corpse," got up on stage and told the world that the DC protests on January 6 were the worst assault on our democracy since the Civil War. Wow, far worse than Pearl Harbor and crazed Jihadists flying jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

What a wicked old fraud. You'd almost think multi-millionaire Joe was a mountebank cipher shill for the military industrial complex, global international banking, transnational corporate lobbyists and big pharma. But no, he's not in it for personal gain because he's a rainbow socialist.

Thank God for that. Jobs, opportunity, education can all go to Hell and the place you live in become a dying, dystopian slum, but at least you've got transgender toilets.
