The make pretend Bishop of Washington, Marianne Edgar Budde, attacked all too real President Donald Trump from the pulpit of the National Cathedral today at our Inaugural Prayer Service. Via ZeroHedge:

It is unclear why they fear for their lives...

Dallas Reflections

 

When you think of Dallas do you think of the ancient TV show featuring JR Ewing? Perhaps, but regardless, one of the things you get to do in LSPland is drive there, down the murder expressway called I35. I did so today, bumper to bumper tailgating crazy at 85/90 mph. Whatev, same old.

Before long you get to the outer reaches of the massive DFW connurb, but keep on, foot on the pedal, and then there it is, rising like a gunmetal OZ, Dallas' skyline. No small thing and especially emerald impressive at night.

Don't be fooled, though. Get in amongst those gleaming glass and steel towers, which rise Babel to the sky, and what do you find? Beggars, indigents, homeless encampments and associated ne'er do wells chancing it in triple digit climate change. We've moved, you see, into SUMMER. It's like this ineluctable climatic progression.

That in mind, take the Illinois exit, head south on Zang past old and new ghetto housing and ride on 'til you hit Davies and Bishops Arts. Marvel at the throngs hanging out at various bars and eateries, wonder at multiple apartment blocks which have sprung up in the last couple of years, and mourn the tragic passing of Ten Bells and Hattie's, two BA stalwarts which went under post COVID.

So What Next?

 

OK, we've all had a good morning celebrating the sovereignty of Christ, well done, and fresh from that we look to the future. Dangerous, I know, because it hasn't happened yet. Still, and with all gospel charity, what's the score? Here's a couple of scenarios:

If Trump's legal team is right and can prove their case, then the lid's blown off the electoral crime of the century, we move into 12th Amendment territory and the election goes to 45. Deep State Uniparty corruption is exposed and fights back with shrieks of rage, Dem cities explode. Minneapolis-style but on a far bigger scale. That's one timeline, and the second's like unto it.

If the lower courts and SCOTUS brush off Trump's allegations and Biden's sworn in as 46 in a fit of establishment elite skulduggery, then all the millions of people who feel cheated of their vote don't accept the result. Patriots, backed into a corner, go hot when pushed. By, say, yet more lockdowns, hated taxation, BLM/Antifa shenanigans or a gun grab. Then there's a third way.

Everyone just rolls over and dies in the face of either party winning. You know, hey, just get over it and get on with life as best you can, like an obedient serf.

For what it's worth, I don't see option three playing out, people are too politicized and the stakes, at this point, are too high. The evil, corrupt, cheating, deceitful, elitist donkeys can't lose or they hang. 45's people, I don't say the GOP, can't lose either. If they do, there goes the Republic they say they love.

Where does this leave us, with civil war? Possibly, but perhaps naively I don't see the Forces or LE getting into an internicene gunfight. Like what, Hell on Wheels is going to go against Big Red One? No. 

That said, we can imagine balkanization. Wayne County, Detroit, sets up on its own along with Philly and other centers of excellence. Same on the other side. The Union and Federal power breaks down.

If that plays out we begin to enter the world of Late Antiquity. The center cannot hold and rival millionaires and their armies vie for power.

So what's the score? Governor Ralph "Minstrel" Northam's declared a "state of emergency" and banned guns from the state Capitol this Friday through Tuesday. He's afraid a Second Amendment demonstration on Monday's going to turn into an "armed insurrection."

Well now, it might just possibly become exactly that because Virginians who are already enraged at Minstrel's virtue signalling, Bloomberg paid-for gun grab aren't going to obey Governor Blackface Northam. 

No, they'll go to Richmond armed. And they'll do so because they believe a free citizenry is free to defend itself against tyranny. Not least from its own government.

2A justification aside, what does Minstrel hope to achieve by this posturing, is he trying to provoke a showdown? Possibly, "Just look at all those white supremacist Nazis, with guns! Good thing we've got the National Guard to shoot them all before some kind of goddam Richmond beer hall putsch!"
