The Fog of Olde Texas

Mist, gentle rain, and the fog of war against our old enemy, The Weather. It's like Aberystwyth in June or Oxford in July but no, this is Texas. Not that I'm complaining, it's good to get some Skywater. Speaking of which, they say that if you collected all the rain that fell here you'd have enough water to last the year. So word to the wise, build cisterns for when the grid goes down and civic infrastructure with it.

In other news, the most popular Administration in the history of popularity's promised to "codify Roe v. Wade," thus making access to abortion the "law of the land" and the potential for SCOTUS to overturn Roe moot.

Gerard V. Bradley, a legal prof at Notre Dame, gives an excellent analysis at First Things, you can read the whole thing here. A snapshot:

If the Court were to recognize the unborn as the persons they are, then all the problems Roberts catalogued would disappear. For when the unborn are counted as “persons” equal to others, the universally applicable legal norms about justification and excuse would pertain to them too. In a certain sense, it would be business as usual; abortion would scarcely be a special case at all.

Let's see how this plays out and in the meanwhile, pray that the wickedness comes to an end. As it is, we have a group of vehemently anti-life politicians in control of our country. For them, the right to kill your child in the womb equates to sexual equality, and with it money and votes, a level playing field in the workplace between men and women.

With abortion, both sexes are free to pursue careers and economic independence without all those inconvenient babies. And what are you worth if you're not out in the workplace earning money?

Nothing, obviously, said no Marxist ever.

Debtstar Rising

Do you remember the debt? No, not your paltry burden, but the US debt, standing at a mighty, earth shattering and climbing 27 Trillion, at interest, and rising every second. It's a vast, almost unimaginable amount of money and, as with all debt, the people who lent it in the first place want their money repaid.

That's the nature of debt. Take out a loan to buy stuff, like votes, how very awesome, but you have to pay it back, it's part of the deal. Now, how do you pay back 27 trillion bucks and climbing?  You can inflate your way out of it and make your money worthless, or you can can blow off the debt, and make your money worthless.

What a conundrum, and I'm glad I'm just an inconsequential kebab vendor on the information superhighway as opposed to the kind of banker who feels forced to throw himself off a balcony at the age of 57 despite being a multi billionaire. But let's get down to brass tacks.

Note Optic

Our money's rotten and waiting to implode, it's a matter of time. When it does, and it will, who's going to pay the soldiers. Seriously, what's going to happen when the people under arms don't get a paycheck? No one's talking about that, and maybe they should.

But no, they're just sending soldiers off to sleep in carparks as they celebrate the political theater of a stolen election. That'll endear you to the soldiery you have to pay to protect you and who, notoriously, voted for you in the last election. Except that they didn't.

Go To Church

Preferably with lots of incense, which indicates the prayers of the saints and elevates the spirit to God. Regardless, it was good to drive over to Arlington, which is a suburb of the DFW Metrosprawl, and assist Mass at St. Albans, Arlington.

Which was good. Fr. CC was installed as Master of our province of the Society of the Holy Cross (SSC) and and all was well. And here's the thing, the SCC was set up as a missional society of priests, to claim and defend catholicism for our part of the Church, Anglicanism.

CC will do well at that and I'll support him, 100%, wholeheartedly. Part of this might include skeet shoots, it's happened before. In the meanwhile, consider the power, for good, of a united Christian witness against the evil of age.

Science

Well here we are, in the land of science, or as someone famously said, "A blasphemous parody of a woman." And, apparently unironically, something to do with the nation's health. Try not to throw up in your made in China mask.

Speaking of health, I risked life and limb to drive into the Metrosprawl conurb this afternoon. And I tell you, it wasn't easy because cars were smashing up like Me 163s coming in to land. Komets aside, the Society of the Holy Cross (SSC) meets in the Fort Worth conurb tomorrow, where we'll install a new Provincial Master.

There's a story in that, because the venerable and awesome SSC is now a game of two halves in North America. On the one hand, there's the Anglo-Catholic clergy who side with the transgender Episcopal Church. And on the other, those who don't.

You can guess which side I'm on, but don't get me wrong, the TEC SSC is attempting an orthodox, catholic witness in their part of the Worldwide Anglican Non Communion (WANC). Good luck, guys. But more on this fascinating facet of ecclesiana later.

In the meanwhile, hail to the Chief, and who would that be, right about now?

Your Pal,

Morning Covfefe

Just enjoying a delicious mug of hot morning covfefe here at the Compound.

Have you tuned in the virtual inauguration of the most popular president figure in the history of popularity? Not to worry, neither has anyone else, which is really weird because everyone loves him, especially all the soldiers.

OBEY YOUR RULERS

Do you remember the old phrase, "It's a free country"? Unlike, say, the old Soviet Union or today's China. That in mind, you'd think our Rulers would think twice before turning Washington DC into a modern variant of the Forbidden City. But no, apparently not.

Perhaps they believe their own marketing and genuinely think that 26k+ soldiers are needed to protect the sacred space of our hallowed governance from crazed mobs of, ahem, Proud Boys and people with the letter Q on their shirts. Yeah, and Joe Biden really got 80 million votes.

No, this is a show of force which says, we own you, we're in power and don't you even think of disputing that. And people on the Left somehow believe they're anti-establishment. Far out. Regardless, I'd say Tucker nails it. Watch the video (sorry, you can't, it's been censored) or read the transcript:

So where's it going to end? George Orwell put it well to the unfortunate Winston, "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever.”

Make that a rainbow boot, please, and OK, maybe Tucker's fears of a latter day Thought Police are exaggerated. Then again, maybe they're not, to the tune of an unprecedented military occupation of the nation's capital.

Skorzeny

You may remember German specops supremo Otto Skorzeny. He rescued the bizarre Italian dictator Mussolini in the latter years of the war, which bought the Italian tyrant a few months to live before he was hanged in a Milan filling station.

Skorzeny went on to survive the war, and some of you may have known him. But regardless, he was given a Requiem Mass in 1975. Here it is, in part:

Was his honor loyalty? Good question, in the meanwhile, DC's protected by 30,000 soldiers because our new President's so unutterably popular. And if you believe that you'll believe anything.

Is Lady Gaga a Satanist?

Is sultry superstar Lady Gaga an Illuminati NWO Satanist or just another workaday Millionaire Socialist? Good question, and there's no doubt that the talented songstress is a millionaire and a socialist. But if the genius behind smash hits like Poker Face, Telephone and Born This Way  isn't a satanist, why is she good friends with America's top PR Witch, Marina Abramovic?

Here's Gaga with ABRA:

Nothing remotely devilish about that, at all. I mean to say, they're only pretending to be cannibals in the name of art. Nothing decadent, depraved, evil and corrupt about this at all. On the contrary, totally innocent, harmless, creative, uplifting fun.

You might remember ABRA was caught out "spirit cooking" with top DNC players like Podesta. Here she is again, look closely at the background.

Serious question. How many of our ruling elite, regardless of party affiliation, are ritual occultists? I don't pretend to know, but I'll wager the aging if ferocious monkey against any six of your wimmyn priestesses that there's more than a few.

Lady Gaga's slated to sing at the Corpse's virtual inauguration, her net worth's a nifty socialist $320 million.

Truth

As I read LL's excellent sermon on the nature of Truth and Mathematics, my mind went back to the good old days of the Church of England, the days before womyn priestesses. In fact, to the day of a "viva," OK, interview, with the suffragan bishop figure of Tewkesbury, which is a picturesque town in Gloucestershire noted for hippies, a battle and an abbey church, now a cathedral.

"Can we say," asked the grey-clad prelate in his unpleasantly low-ceilinged 'lounge,' "that there is such a thing as right and wrong?"

It was a genuine question and the fighting monkey was young in those days, so I answered, "Oh, I think there is. Say I took a baby and skinned it, alive. Would that be right or wrong?"

He muttered something like, "Ahem, yes," and moved on, doubtless mentally oppressed by the stifling lowness of the ceiling above him, and the ferocity of the monkey. I apparently passed muster, curiously.

Point of the parable? That there is such a thing as Truth, with a capital T, that which is, and our minds are in conformity with it or not. And, ultimately, this Truth is God, He who is, I AM that I AM, self-existent being which speaks all things into being. Try saying no to that and see how far you get.

Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος, in the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God. Reflect on that and do not dare, unless you are a fool, to go against it, reality Himself.

Here endeth the Lesson,

The New Feudalism?

Hilaire Belloc wrote this, in Europe and the Faith (1920) about the fall of the Roman Empire.

All that happened was that Roman civilization having grown very old, failed to maintain that vigorous and universal method of local government subordinated to the capital, which it had for four or five hundred years supported. The machinery of taxation gradually weakened; the whole of central bureaucratic action weakened; the greater men in each locality began to acquire a sort of independence, and sundry soldiers benefited by the slow (and enormous) change, occupied the local "palaces" as they were called, of Roman administration, secured such revenues as the remains of Roman taxation could give them, and, conversely, had thrust upon them so much of the duty of government as the decline of civilization could still maintain. That is what happened, and that is all that happened.

All that happened? Belloc was known for hyperbole and he was busy refuting a false view of history in the wake of World War I. Still, his insight into the murky transition of the Western Roman Empire into the Dark Ages and medievalism is well worth the read, to my mind at least.

Check it out if you have the time. But what's always grabbed my attention is this, The machinery of taxation gradually weakened; the whole of central bureaucratic action weakened; the greater men in each locality began to acquire a sort of independence.

His point being that power began to coalesce into the hands of increasingly wealthy landowners at the expense of central government. Landowners who were effectively exempt from taxation and at the command, he argues, of military force. A small step from that to feudalism, and so to today.

According to Zerohedge and Forbes, Bill Gates in his wisdom has acquired over 200,000 acres of farmland in the US. Likewise, media mogul John Malone owns 2.2 million acres and CNN founder Ted Turner 2 million.

That's a lot of land, which by the way isn't being made anymore, and it doesn't take a vast amount of insight to draw the Roman parallel. Where will it end? Most obviously, to people being villains, serfs and tenant farmers on their billionaire socialist rulers' land. Also to devolution and Balkanization. History evidently rhymes.

Hail To the Chief Or What

Just a few days to go until the Inauguration of the 46th President of the most powerful country of the world, and not just any President. No, 80 year old millionaire career politician Joe Biden is the most popular presidential candidate in the history of the United States. By a lot, by over 80 million votes.

How did Sleepy Joe, popularly known as "The Corpse," get all those votes, by campaigning? No, he didn't have to. He relied on charisma and mass, popular, grass roots appeal. That's why more people voted for him than for any other president in the history of ever. He's just that popular, hands down, no holds barred.

No wonder, then, that the Corpse's Inauguration party will be limited to members of Congress. They'll be fortunate enough to hear acclaimed Illuminati popstar genius Lady Gaga sing the national anthem as they exchange gifts en lieu of the traditional lunch. And they'll also be guarded by some 25,000 part time soldiers, because Joe Biden's just that popular.

Seriously, if you buy into this shameless, brazen, autocratic fraud you need your head examined. And don't even think of blaming Trump on Jamiroquai's Capitol takeover. If 45 had wanted a coup or a putsch he could have called it, right there and then on January 6. He had the people and he had the numbers, unlike the Corpse. But he didn't. So stop the stupid, ignorant, low-info, dumbass rhetoric about Beer Hall.

No, Trump didn't attempt a bizarre latter day Fascist coup, but someone else has, and DC's occupied by what, two divisions of soldiers. And why? Because Joe Biden's just so very, very popular. What a fraudulent, faked up, exhibition of chicanery, malfeasance and skulduggery. To put it mildly.

The Dorset Ooser

The news cycle moves fast, but some may remember the horned DC protester popularly known as "Jamiroquai." Is the horned anarchist the latest example of the ancient pagan cult of the Dorset Ooser, alive and kicking in the US? Alan Delgarde reports from the UK:

The horned headdress of a protestor at the heart of the riots and invasion of the  US Capitol building  in Washington on 6th January may have been inspired by an ancient  ritual mask known as the 'Dorset Ooser.'

The horned protester has been named in news reports as Jake Angeli  who goes by the on-line moniker 'QAnon Shaman.' He stood out among demonstrators  at the centre of the invasion of the US Capitol on 6th January  and features on photos which have circulated around the world. His distinctive headgear resembles the image of the Dorset Ooser, still used in  in mid-winter and mid-summer re-enactments and  ceremonies today.

A replica of the horned headgear is preserved at Dorset County Musuem in Dorset. It is a copy of the originals of the mid-winter mask once used at Melbury Osmund and also at Shillingstone where, by the 19th century, it had become known as 'the Christmas Bull'.

The donning of horns, weird masks and strange  animal costumes is a widespread tradition and, in various forms, is recognised as a European wide-folk custom practised in rural areas since ancient times. The custom was  condemned by the early Church and later associated with the figure of the devil.

In Archbishop Theodore of Canterbury's (668-690 AD) Liber Poenitentialis (Penitential Book) wearing animal heads was condemned as 'devilish.'

"(He) goes about as a stag or a bull; that is, making himself into a wild animal and dressing in the skin of a herd animal, and putting on the heads of beasts; those who in such wise transform themselves into the appearance of a wild animal, penance for three years because this is devilish."

It is striking how this headgear worn by the 21st century protester so closely resembles the seasonal folk costume worn for centuries in  disorderly folk customs in ancient Britain and Europe, and is now sported  at exactly the same point in the winter calendar in the Capitol of the United States.

Is the QAnon Shaman an example of a faked up Fed mimicking Old World archetypal folk customs emerging in the New World or just another Anarcho-Marxist crisis actor out for cheap thrills and kicks, or both?

As always, you the reader be the judge.

Your Friend,

LSP

Pixelnacht

Yeah, thanks but no thanks, and so the Night of the Long Routers continues. For goodness sake, don't these geeks have anything better to do than x out small MAGA accounts? Apparently not. So I fell back on Gab and post there @LSP, not that it's easy to access because Gab's getting around 500k+ new users a day, and their servers are swamped. But here's the thing.

How long before Gab et al get taken down for, I don't know, domestic terrorism. For that matter, how much longer will Blogger tolerate anything that's not globalist, millionaire/billionaire socialist Google party line? I'm not betting the aging monkey.

Maybe we need to fall back on coded handwritten letters, perhaps in Greek - see Indian Mutiny - courier pigeons, steam powered free-press servers and speakeasies (what? Ed.). Or something like that, but make no mistake, our Corporate Overlords and their political shills are barreling down the pike to silence their competition. See Parler, nuked.

What's amusing, to me, is the spectacle of rank and file NYT style Dems supporting this in the name of STICK IT TO THE MAN! Like what, Tech, Banks, Hollywood, the Military Industrial Complex, Academia, Media, Pfizer, and Chase have become magical icons of anti-establishment freedom?

Bizarre ain't in it. In the meanwhile, the snow melts at the Compound but was great while it lasted. More please.

They're Coming to Gitchoo

They are? And in league with transnational capital to boot, clearly McCarthy didn't go far enough. In similar vein, the Corpse is promising special stimulus to POC (Person of Color) owned small businesses. Fortunate for the POC, not so hot if you're not. But seriously, since when were taxpayer handouts awarded on account of skin color?

Since right about now, and don't you dare say racist or you'll get banned for being a Nazi. As in, how dare you stand for equality, regardless of ethnicity, you Fascist. In similar vein, have you noticed how the Left is full of hate, vitriol and spite at the moment?

You'd think they'd be happy and magnanimous, their guy won, apparently. But no, they're baying for blood. And this inner state of being will surely manifest itself outwardly, it already is, which doesn't bode well.

That in mind, I'll spare you the sermon, but I will say this. They're coming to gitchoo. Good luck with that, Bolsheviks.

Cheers,

Winter Wonderland!

It started off as cold, sleety rain, and then our Old Adversary the Weather escalated the fight. Yes, it began to snow. "Well that's exciting," I thought as I fired up a Mission for Mass, "Snow, in Texas." But here's the thing, it didn't stop, on the contrary, it intensified.

By the time Mass was over and we opened the doors of the church and looked outside, there it was, a veritable winter wonderland. "Haven't seen anything like this in ten years," said one churchman. "This is more snow than we had in Oklahoma," said another, mysteriously. And I agreed, we haven't seen this much snow here since the great Global Warming blizzard of 2010. Exciting.

Back at the Compound I started getting calls from Mission #2. Like, "We've had to turn around, padre, sorry about that," or, "We fishtailed on 56 and headed back, didn't want to risk it." Also the power was down in the area, so we called a snow day on the service and I emailed the crew with a "make your Spiritual Communion" reminder. Then what?

Brush the snow off your rig and take a recce through town. No small thing, I tell you. It was like the Kharkov Front, or maybe Narnia. Still, I wasn't complaining, it's rare to see anthropogenic global warming like this in the great state of Texas.

I know, same-old, same-old for everyone living north of the border, but a big thing here. So too, apparently, with the Corpse and the Whore's incoming ascension to power; all the shotgun ammo was gone at Walmart yesterday, no fooling. Never seen such a thing before, make of it what you will.

In the meanwhile, snow continues to fall.

Gimme Shelter

This seems appropriate right about now. And here at the Compound we wonder if Big Tech trying to ban people who disagree with you is somehow "progressive." Like wow, "I'm a socialist, that's why I support Silicon Valley billionaires telling everyone what to think." Absurd ain't in it and you'd think they'd recall the Bolshevik revolution eating its own, but no, history's not taught anymore, and neither is truth.

Without that, an objective standard of reality you conform to or don't, the accordance of mind to thing, you're left with what? Opinion and its enforcement, with the exercise of power unchained from any external constraint. Or to put it another way, with an unchecked lust for power, and we've seen the results. The Nazi KZs, Russia's Gulags, Cambodia's Killing Fields, and on. In short, with the mass slaughter of the 20th Century.

I pray that this utter evil isn't heading our way, though it seems close and perhaps we're already in it. How many babies are killed in the womb, every minute of every day? Ask yourself, what will a people or nation which condones such a thing not do

So here's the Stones:

Thanks, Dr. Swankenstein, for the tip.

A Gentle Reflection

Well here we are. Twitter's banned the President of the US, the GOP's baying for the blood of the anarchists(?) who got into the Capitol and stole Pelosi's laptop, and the FBI are working round the clock to bring the perps to justice. Election fraud on an industrial scale obviously wasn't worth the time, eh? But where to from here.

Good question, will our cold civil war become hot? It might, given current levels of anger and dehumanization, to say nothing of the fact that everyone's armed to the teeth. No epiphany there, though perhaps the utter lack of spine on the part of the GOP is an eyeopener, or not.

Regardless, the future beckons and what does it hold? For me, working to build up two Texan country missions, simple as that. One of the Wardens, who used to head up Dallas SWAT, asked, "If they try a lockdown, what'll you do?" I thought for a second, "I'll ignore that order." He looked me right in the eye, "Me too."

Politics of Despair or is it Just Jamiroquai?

Starting with this important international mind blog, many thousands have noticed the frightening similarity between UK pop legend Jamiroquai and the Horned Hippie who broke into the Capitol yesterday. With a crew of bearded freaks who were obviously, ahem, MAGA.

Is he a Qanon Shaman or an undercover intel asset with cameras in his horns, filming the wickedness of the coup? Or is he simply a West London Jazz fusion artist, looking for kicks and adventure in the dying days of an Imperial North American Republic? That's opaque, but here at the Compound we know you'd like to get the look. Here's how.

On a serious note, why did police wave and lead people into the Capitol? I don't know, but I do know that more than 70 million people aren't too pleased at our incoming governing kleptocracy, and that's just the Trumpists. Chris Hedges, a leftist, and you can imagine him voting Bernie only to be thwarted by Dominion, puts it well:

The seizure of control of the economy by a class of global speculators and corporations has ruined the lives of the very groups the Democrats pretend to lift up...

The power of politicians such as Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer or Mitch McConnell comes from being able to funnel corporate money to anointed candidates. In a functioning political system, one not saturated with corporate cash, they would not hold power. They have transformed what the Roman philosopher Cicero called a commonwealth, a res publica, a “public thing” or the “property of a people,” into an instrument of pillage and repression on behalf of a global corporate oligarchy.

Again:

The tinder that could ignite violent conflagrations lies ominously stacked around us. It may be triggered by Trump’s defeat in the election. Millions of disenfranchised white Americans, who see no way out of their economic and social misery, struggling with an emotional void, are seething with rage against a corrupt ruling class and bankrupt liberal elite that betrayed them. They are tired of the political stagnation, grotesque, mounting social inequality and the punishing fallout from the pandemic. Millions more alienated young men and women, also locked out of the economy and with no realistic prospect for advancement or integration, gripped by the same emotional void, have harnessed their fury in the name of tearing down the governing structures and anti-fascism. These polarized extremes are inching closer and closer to violence.

His prediction?

There are three options: reform, which, given the decay in the American body politic, is impossible, revolution, or tyranny.

I don't agree with everything Hedges writes, which I'm sure upsets him deeply, but I'd say he nails the "corporate oligarchy" of our reigning and apparently triumphant uniparty. Trump attempted to overthrow that and faced a coup, but where will it end?

We'll see, but it won't be status quo pro ante, not by a long shot. In the meanwhile, enjoy dressing up like Jamiroquai. Does anyone listen to zhir rubbish music?

Cheers,

LSP
