America, is this your future?
Or maybe it's this:

The operation got on the road to Burleson on Monday to take care of business. And so, to pass I35W time, I crunched the numbers and discovered that I was, bizarrely, 58 on that very same day. Here's the complex math: 2023-1965 = x. Tricky, isn't it, and hint, 59 ≠ x.
I know, that's pretty racist but there you have it, mathematics. Bottom line accountancy satisfied, business concluded to mutual benefit, Thai curry consumed, yum, and it was back on the road to the Compound where...
There was a dog on the porch and a grinning soldier. "Happy birthday, dad. We interviewed a number of dogs and figured this one was best. Look, he's part Ridgeback, and you love Rhodesia. He doesn't even bark."
Moving, eh? The kid had gone off to the pound and found a dog for his dad, with attention to breed(s) and demeanor. Well, there it is, the Compound has a new rescue dog and he's a good boy, part Ridgeback, part Heeler, part something else, maybe Lab and/or Pyrenees?
Regardless, what shall we call him? The pound called him "Chester," which obviously won't do. Perhaps Rhodie? But hey, all suggestions welcome.
Hope you're having big fun today as we celebrate our freedom.

I'd say he nails it but hey, slap a climate change rainbow sticker on the operation and everything's just fine. Until, of course, you get a 4 am visit from the Tolerance Stasi. As in, how dare you speak out at the local school board after protesting the murder of babies in the womb, you Nazi. Time for jail.
Here in the States we're protected from this, to an extent, by the 2nd Amendment and the Enemy knows this, which is why they're attempting to remove it. "Free men," runs the saying, "Can defend themselves. Slaves cannot."
Gentlemen and women, be wise as serpents and innocent as doves and do not give up all those guns you sadly lost when the canoe capsized. Just saying.

A day after Trudeau's Stasi took on Ottawa protesters the people of Calgary took to the streets in defiance of their country's Rainbow Potentate. Protests also broke out in Quebec City and Winnipeg where truck convoys are moving into position, as they are on the BC border. Toronto's come out too, along with other smaller protests in Ontario and elsewhere.
I'd say that was brave. Bear in mind, the people doing this are being threatened with jail, the seizure of property, bank accounts and, in Ottawa, the death of their pets. What? Seriously, get arrested, go to jail and we'll kill your dog if you don't or can't reclaim it after 8 days, says OPP.
Smooth move, Ottawa police, whose interim Supremo's vowed to hunt down and persecute convoy supporters in the months ahead. Well played, Colin, now the protesters in Canada's capital don't have any incentive to leave.
Ottawa aside, it looks like the protest against government tyranny's spreading. So what are they going to do, arrest everyone, start shooting? I don't think so. Maybe an announcement saying the science has changed would be in order. But don't hold your breath, expect the Stasi and the power behind them to escalate.
In the meanwhile, well done Calgary and get your cash outta the banks.
Your Best Pal,

In the '60s and '70s, we said "Make Love, Not War." A half-century later and Canadian #Truckers are showing us what that really looks like. #FreedomConvoy2022 https://t.co/D05TUBYdF1

It was all go this morning with tractors, trailers, heavy metal and country life. All under the big blue sky of Texas, and what's wrong with that? Nothing at all. But what hard workers! Which made me feel guilty, "Don't worry brother, you're supervizin."
Soon an sho 'nuff the job was done, trailers strapped down, metal hauled off and all was well with the world. You see, what we've been doing is getting a property ready to sell and it's live right now. Good result, and big thanks to ES without whom everything would've been overwhelming, and to neighbors G&D, who work like Trojans.
And so back to the Compound, but not before checking the news, and what news it was. War with Russia "imminent," what? Trudeau tripling down on the working class, Doug Ford in Ontario declaring a "state of emergency" and my pal setting up a stage in a covert location, somewhere in California.
"This might be a long day," he offered, and I agreed. In the meanwhile, looks like there's a party going on in Ottawa. To the beat of the drum.
Freedom,

Ottawa police raided the Freedom Convoy's HQ on Coventry Road this evening, seizing fuel and making two arrests. Trucker organizers called the police action "inconsequential" on social media:
Approx. two hours ago, Ottawa police showed up in a very aggressive show of force, there was probably 100 police officers in tactical gear with snipers on the roof. I'm very pleased to report all of our truckers, kept their composure.
It was extremely peaceful, they came in they took the fuel - which was their intent - their intent was to come in and confiscate the fuel that we have, that was donated, or purchased to be distributed to the trucks.
However, I am pleased to say that that has no impact on our ability to continue operations whatsoever. It was absolutely inconsequential. I believe that I was very critical mistake on their part. It had no impact on our operations but it certainly raised morale within the people that are at Coventry. I'm very proud of the way our truckers conducted themselves, peacefully.
Tomorrow I will be making a public statement to outline what we think will be a very measured, reasonable way forward. We believe it to be responsible, safe, and we would like to make this statement to try to get interested parties to a negotiating table.
Really, snipers on the roof, just in case all that bouncy castle Nazism got out of hand? You'd almost think there was an element of wish fulfillment going on. After all, City Council persyn Diane Wheeler's on the record calling the Convoy "terrorists." In the meanwhile, Ottawa police are exempt from Trudeau's vax mandate. Go figure.
Elements of Team LSP are at the Alberta/Montana border, where they've joined Sikhs, cowboys, farmers, truckers and patriots at Coutts to protest GloboCap tyranny and its Health Stasi.
Stay tuned and hold the line,

Then there's Paris. Just look at all those Brownshirts marching, Himmler would be proud. But Canada's the epicenter of this volkisch putsch against our beloved GloboCap leaders, what's going on there?
In sum, Fascist insurrection's everywhere and the Mayor of Ottawa's even called a state of emergency. Who can blame him, the Sturmabteilung comes complete with bouncy castles.
In breaking news, Ottawa's Staatspolizei have declared anyone giving aid to the racist, transphobic, violent, extremist, intolerant truckers illegal. Let's see how that pans out. In the meanwhile, maybe Boat Nazis will blockade Halifax harbour.

The Mass was offered, ite missa est, go it is sent, and I drove back to the Compound in a golden haze of sunset. It reminded me of the final hour of a dove hunt and I asked myself, "Why is Texas so awesome?" wondering at the providence of it all.
But why. Frontier spirit, big skies, the world's tenth or eleventh highest GDP, putting the Lone Star State above lesser countries such as Canada, Australia and Mexico? Well yes, opportunity, energy and growth, there is that, to say nothing of relative sanity compared to prison gulags like Australia and New York.
Maybe that's part of it. Unlike Alberta, no one here's about to tell you to get a serf vaxxport before you can enter a store. You can even clean the shotguns and pistols you don't have, put 'em in your rig and go out and shoot in a friend's field, we have that freedom. Texas and liberty, two very large things to conjure with.
Let's pray they continue to walk hand in hand. In the meanwhile, it's time to fry up some absurdly cheap, pre-Bidenflation steak. What?!?
Yes, we can eat steak here in Texas, if you know where to look. It's hard to find but you can still get it, as opposed to the soylent cubes and insect hash doled out by our transnational elite, private jet, island owning Millionaire Socialist rulers.

A friend gave me his old, rusting, neglected barn gun today, a Remington 870. It was a mess but the bore was clean enough, so I took the beast home and applied Hoppe's and a bore brush.
You should've seen the rust liquefy off, what a nasty, minging, filthy mess. But what a good result in the end, a clean gun, ready to shoot and do battle against the avian adversary and their clay simulacra.
That in mind, say a prayer for the repose of the soul of Ronnie Storrs, it was his gun and he wasn't above using it on people who made the foolish mistake of messing about on his land unannounced. Well, may he rest in peace and may his 870 find a place in the Compound's armory.
Have a blessed Feast of All Souls and as always,

Arkansas Shriff Chris Brown has refused to mandate COVID vaccinations for his department's employees, accusing the Federal Government of "absolute tyranny." Via Facebook:
Cleburne County Sheriff's Office - Arkansas
September 10, 2021
Re: COVID Vaccine Mandates
Since March of 2020, we have seen much controversy over COVID, mandates, restrictions, lockdowns, vaccines, and a number of other things. We have watched as this topic has divided families, friends, and coworkers. We have seen an unprecedented amount of division, hate, and contention among Americans. With the rollout of the COVID vaccines, that division has become more and more widened, and the vitriol more intense between those who believe in the vaccines, those who don’t, and those who are undecided.
As law enforcement officers, our first duty and what we swear an oath to, is to support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Arkansas. It is in that defense and the defense of individual liberty that the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office has not, and will not mandate the COVID vaccine for any of our employees. Just like with the flu shot, their choice to get vaccinated or not is theirs and theirs alone, and we respect their decisions.
I am not pro-vaccine, and I am not anti-vaccine. I am pro-freedom, and I am for each person’s ability and responsibility to decide for themselves (in conjunction with their doctor) whether or not to get the vaccine.
I am appalled at some of the absolute dictator-like things we are seeing from the Federal Government, and several of the State Governments. It is absolute tyranny, and completely abhorrent. It flies in the face of everything our country has always stood for, and is only furthering the damage and division done to the people of this wonderful nation.
CS Lewis said this: “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
It's time for our politicians and other public servants to stand up and remember that their first responsibility is to protect people’s rights, not to run their lives.
Sheriff Chris Brown
Well said, Sheriff,

One of the many things I like about Independence Day, when it falls on a Sunday, is being able to say to the faithful, "Today we celebrate our freedom from the tyrannous yoke of the English."
It's a good way to start a homily and sets you up for "what is freedom?" The positive power of thinking and acting according to what's right and true, of choosing the good. Hats off to St. Augustine.
What does this look like? I liked this, from LL:
Embrace freedom... promote smaller government, and lower the decision-making to the lowest possible common denominator. Make representatives accountable to those that they represent. We are not their servants. They are ours. It is only this way that we can be independent.
And John Adams had this to say, via WWW:
It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.
Right on, and now for some pork chops, given that no one can afford steak apart from our elite "let them eat 16 cents" rulers.

"The feeling that democracy is not the right form of freedom is fairly common and is spreading more and more. The Marxist critique of democracy cannot simply be brushed aside: how free are elections? To what extent is the outcome manipulated by advertising, that is, by capital, by a few men who dominate public opinion? Is there not a new oligarchy who determine what is modern and progressive, what an enlightened man has to think? The cruelty of this oligarchy, its power to perform public executions, is notorious enough. Anyone who might get in its way is a foe of freedom, because, after all, he is interfering with the free expression of opinion. And how are decisions arrived at in representative bodies? Who could still believe that the welfare of the community as a whole truly guides the decision-making process? Who could doubt the power of special interests, whose dirty hands are exposed with increasing frequency? And in general, is the system of majority and minority really a system of freedom? And are not interest groups of every kind appreciably stronger than the proper organ of political representation, the parliament? In this tangled power play, the problem of ungovernability arises ever more menacingly: the will of individuals to prevail over one another blocks the freedom of the whole."
He continues:
"Freedom, if it is not to lead to deceit and self-destruction, must orient itself by the truth, that is, by what we really are, and must correspond to our being. Since man's essence consists in being-from, being-with and being-for, human freedom can exist only in the ordered communion of freedoms."
Wisdom. Read the whole thing here, and you should.
God bless,
LSP
We all have options, free will. You can, for example, choose to vote or you can invest in technology to rig the vote, don't say Dominion. Fine, such is choice, but wherein lies freedom, true freedom? Augustine tells us it's found in choosing the good, anything else rapidly turns to slavery.
That in mind, I fired up the grill. It beat thinking about the deep fix our rulers and their agitprop media have been busy foisting on the country. You can imagine the backroom deals. "Sure, you get the presidency and we get to keep the Senate. C'mon man, we'll split Congress!" and the profits.
Neat plan and it's being celebrated right now by the propaganda arm of the State, as the Corpse tells a car park he's the 46th President of the United States. Only problem being, with apologies to the now hated Boris Johnson, is that he's not. There's still that pesky problem of free will to be dealt with in the form of votes.
Yes, hundreds of thousands of them which may or may not be legal. We'll see, no one's conceded yet and even if the Corpse wins this battle, a significant portion of the electorate won't believe it, and with good reason. They'll feel cheated by a gang of thieves who stole their freedom with suitcases and coolers full of ballots in the dead of night.
Sure, the fix was in but this war is far from over, just don't drop your hammer on the scorecard on the way out. And the burgers were delicious.
Cheers,
LSP
