Palm Sunday, 2015

I won't preach, because I've done that twice today already, but I will leave you with the Palm Sunday Collect:

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, who, of thy tender love towards mankind, hast sent thy Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ, to take upon him our flesh, and to suffer death upon the cross, that all mankind should follow the example of his great humility; Mercifully grant, that we may both follow the example of his patience, and also be made partakers of his resurrection; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Have a very blessed day and Holy Week.

Palm Sunday's always a bit chaotic, trying to get the masses to gather outside, respond by reading their worship aids in what is inevitably windy weather, sing while proceeding in, scramble for seats, all while accidentally lashing your neighbors' eyeballs with palm branches.

I think that chaos adds a touch of realism to reading the Passion narrative.
It tends to feel like a somewhat long and difficult service to me, and that's probably a good thing.
