SSC

The local chapter of the SSC (Society of the Holy Cross) met today in Fort Worth and there we were, in the Church of the Holy Apostles on the western border of Cow Town, worshiping God. Great result and you'll be amazed to know there was no interpretive liturgical dance set to the dismal beat of guitars, pan pipes and foot stomping priestesses.

No, none of that, just the Mass and that sung with quiet dignity and reverence, beautiful, well done. After the sacred mysteries we moved next door to the church hall for a Chick-fil-A box lunch and I took the opportunity to admire the church's attractive "Garth," which means "enclosed quadrangle" and glowing stained glass in the church itself.

Uplifting, on both counts, and the Chick boxes weren't bad either, nice. Then, lunch over, we heard a presentation on the recent goings on at GAFCON and I, for one, was left wondering if the Global South Primates have the mettle to squeeze the trigger and declare themselves formally out of communion with Justsin Welby.

Justsin, you may recall, has joyfully embraced the rainbow while pretending not to, and this has enraged our dusky heteronormative brethren. Quite right too, let's see if African sound and fury equates to actual thunder. If it does, I'm prepared to be amazed. Watch this space.

Then, business over, I wandered down to the stream at the bottom of the churchyard, overgrown with riotous spring growth. And there was the water, untouched, it felt, by the march of time. I wanted to fish it but didn't have a rod, maybe next time.

God bless,

After School Satan

The assault on our children continues with "After School Satan" clubs meeting up in schools. Following a recent court victory in Pennsylvania, outraged parents were defeated and the satanic clubs allowed on school grounds in Northampton County.

Elated satanists were swift to deny any correlation with, you know, satanism. Via ZeroHedge:

"We’re definitely not interested in having children identify as satanists," said satanist Rose Bastet, who has been involved in the Satanic Temple for four years, and is one of the After School Satan Club volunteers at B.M. Williams Primary in Chesapeake, VA. Bastet spearheaded the effort to get the club into the school in October 2020 - a process which took a long time because the school was "giving us the runaround," she said, adding that "they were in the background looking for any way that they could prevent us from meeting."

"One of our meetings a couple of months ago, we learned about Virginia native bats," she said, adding "This last meeting, we had one of the parents in the club volunteer to bring in a bunch of bones and fossils that she and her husband have found in Virginia."

Neat!

That said, the 'curriculum' could change this fall as the club seeks to integrate the seven tenets of the Satanic Temple, which include "compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason," and that "beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs."

"We just came out with a book that is like the children’s version — or I should say a very sweet way to interpret — the tenets in a very understanding way that children could understand. So we might start actually using this book to talk to the kids about our seven tenets," said Everett, adding "We have a lot of big plans for next school year."

Oh yes indeed.

Out demons out and hands off our children,

Listen Up - Advice

Listen up, gunfighters. Wyatt Earp had this to say, take note:

The most important lesson I ever learned was the winner of a gunplay usually was the one who took his time. The second was if I hoped to live on the frontier, I would shun flashy trick-shooting, grandstand play, as I would poison. In all my life as a frontier peace officer, I did not know a really proficient gunfighter who had anything but contempt for the gun fanner, or man who literally shot from the hip.

Again:

Shooting at a man who is returning the compliment means going into action with the greatest speed of which a man’s muscles are capable, but mentally unflustered by an urge to hurry, or the need for complicated nervous and muscular actions which trick shooting involves.

Some say, foolishly, that the Western is dead. That's a negative, check this out:

TEXIT

TEXIT, the popular, grassroots movement to make the Republic of Texas sovereign again, free of the shackles of DC tyranny. The TEXIT website puts it like this:

"Our mission is to secure and protect the political, cultural and economic independence of the nation of Texas and to restore and protect a constitutional Republic and the inherent rights of the people of Texas."

Right on, and to that end we have Fort Hood, Fort Bliss, Dyess AFB and so many more, not least the DLC (Dallas Light Cavalry), which is an irregular unit known for its élan and hard work in the field. So yes, we have an army, and a formidable one to boot.

But there's a fly in the ointment, a splinter in the toe, a loose filling, a (stop it, Ed.) problem. That problem is Austin, twinned with San Francisco, a city full of hippies and wealthy Bolshevik radicals that threatens our great state from within. A fifth column, if you like. Solution?

Blockade Austin and its allied counties, Travis, Tarrant, Presidio, Zavala, Brooks, Starr, Dallas and on and send them to California. That's it, that's the solution. Send the populations of those counties to the blue Golden State, and Chicago, and DC and New York. Governor Abbott, the time has come. Put 'em on the bus and send 'em off.

Le /Pol/ Face

Keen-eyed observers of our ridiculously fast-paced news cycle will note Establishment Gregg's been doing just that and the Democrat sanctuary cities aren't very happy about it. Not at all. Of course blacks and latinos coexist in perfect harmony, except that they don't, and the DNC's made the command decision to throw the failing former demographic under the bus, LBJ style. More votes you see, and sorry Black Caucus, you lose the calculus game.

Not Texas but whatever

Regardless, here in Texas we stand united behind the one star, the Lone Star that's the symbol of our Republic.

Just Knocking About

The first part of the day was all about lawyers guns and money and that was OK. Here in this bucolic sector of the North Central Texas Exclusion Zone (NCTEZ) you can pretty much walk everywhere to do your business.

And what do you see as you stroll along the leafy boulevards of Old Tejas? All the debris of our increasingly barbarous modern age. Weaves, dime bags, broken toys, and Bud Light cans hurled away in disgust to lie abandoned in the gutter.

This town used to be 20,000 people strong back when cotton was king and now it's around 7,000, a growing majority of which are Hispanic. This will certainly increase and what does it mean? Any number of things, not least: I need to learn Spanish, like no kidding.

Being able to celebrate the Mass in Spanish, albeit not very well, is a good first step but obviously not a final solution. Honing up the "habla" and getting a bilingual deacon from the diocese would take things to a different level, let's get on that.

But looking over the horizon, what's caused us to commit demographic suicide, and we're doing exactly that. Keen-eyed readers will note Rome, with all its grandeur, had a similar problem. They stopped having children and imported barbarians to fill the gap.

Here that means Catholics, who are by no means friends of the Rainbow. In Europe, at least the UK, it mostly means Mohammedans, and they hate the Rainbow too. How this works out is anyone's guess but I'll wager the monkey on conflict, and thank God we're dealing with a Catholic instead of Moslem replacement.

Tempted to bang on but won't, you'll note this little town has machine shops. America's known for that, and riflemen, kudos.

Hold The Line,

Ghostly Counsel

I find this helpful, you might too:

WHO has not sometimes thought: If I could see Jesus Christ as he was on this earth; if I could talk with him, if I could have certainty from those divine lips, and read assurance in those steady eyes, then I should lay hold of God.  So we think, but not so he teaches.  He is in the Supper Room, desiring in that last opportunity to enlighten his disciples' minds and to assure their faith.  But beyond a point he cannot.  He cannot teach them as fully, he says, as the Holy Ghost will teach them hereafter.  It is not so much the word of Jesus knocking at the mind's door that secures his admittance; it is the God within drawing the bolts with invisible fingers.  When your pride, he says, when your self-sufficiency has been shattered by the experience of my death, the Spirit will secure the admittance of all the truth you need to know.  And so it is: after half an hour's repentance before the cross of Christ, the Spirit shows us what years of study cannot discover, and what Christ present in the flesh might not avail to make us see. (Austin Farrer, Crown of the Year)

I can't and won't add to that.

God bless,

Something Wrong With The Jukebox?

Yes, it's our old favorite, Lords of Light. Rock on, right? But you know the old story, on come the Hawks and your youngest sister turns and says, "Something wrong with the jukebox?"

That in mind, how long would the UK last in a peer-to-peer firefight?  Asking for a friend. Maybe 24 hours, if that? Bets on. I'll lay a Guinea down UKLF, insomuch as it even exists today, folds. Your call, and money on the monkey.

Incendiary

Now imagine that was the Metroplex. Of course such a thing could never, ever, ever, ever happen here. So go on, load up the .50s and count yourself a lucky fella.

On The Road

On the road to Dallas, and that's not a bad thing except they drive like maniacs on I35 and, right at the run-in to 'sprawl central there was a cataclysmic deluge of rain. Adventure, and surely a harbinger of apocalypse to come.

That in mind, a couple of people came up after Mass yesterday and said, "LSP, we went to get money out of the ATM in Whitney and not a single one was working, not one, and we tried all the banks." Huh, imagine that, you go to your bank to withdraw some cash and sorry buddy, you can't. What then.

you shoot an exotic goat with a 30-06

Nothing good and it reminds me of a prepper who said, wisely, "When you see lines around the block for the ATM it's time to get out." Good call and you don't have to be a druidic seer to picture the impossibility of getting out of our doomed cities when the SHTF. Kyrie, they're bad enough as is.

In related news, two violent extremist white supremacists, who identify as Mexican, killed some people in Allen and Brownsville, as all the world knows. But question, what's the issue? Were they Mexican Nazis, Cartel gang people, rando crazies or all of the above.

if you're not scared you should be

Terrifying any witch way, eh?
