You Pathetic Shills

That's right, Essex PD. But don't judge Essex on the part of a few uniformed Gaia NWO shills. Here's Romford via Wales Underworld:

A few years ago mind you. And now here we are, in a rainbow stasi utopia, how's that working out for 'ya? Born slippy, innit.

A Trip To Slap Out

Hubbard Texas used to be known as Slap Out on account of their general store typically being slap out of provisions. As of the 2010 census the town was 1,423 persons strong and I like it, well put together for the most part with a lively feed store and a couple of shops and decent country restaurants. Their war memorial's especially impressive, a Cobra gunship which saw service in Vietnam before decommissioning in 1994, when 1 Cav gave it to the town.

After a tasty lunch of cheese enchiladas at Polos Italian Pizza restaurant, I drove over to a churchman's ranch for a sick call. What a great old man, in his 90s, a proud vet, Airforce I think, and an excellent horseman in his day. Pillar of the church to boot. He's weak now but clear of cancer, praise God.

On the way back I stopped in Malone, population 269. It's famous for being German and having saloons or bars, Muleskinners, Pair-A-Dice and Whiskey River. I haven't been in any of these but feel I should.

Whiskey River seems the best and it's owned by a friend who obstinately doesn't come to Mass but cheerfully lets me shoot at his back(ish) country range. A neat guy, a wiry landowner with a piercing eye and a serious, shooting safari hunter. I wish he was Senior Warden of Mission #1 but as it is we're allies.

Malone's also famous for its motel. You see, not so long ago this part of the world was dry, you couldn't get a drink because that was so wicked and unchristian, even though wine features rather strongly in the Bible. As in the Miracle at Cana and the Last Supper.

No, not Dr. Pepper and non-alcoholic grape juice in a dixie cup. That in mind, people would drive from as far away as Corsicana, population 23, 770, to live it up at Malone's saloons, and then they'd stay in the motel. Smart.

So now you know. I love this part of Texas.

Shoot straight,

Poles Go LARP Ohio

Maybe you missed it but Poles are live action role playing America (LARPA), especially Ohio. Check it out:

Back in the Hood

Today's mission was elegant in its simplicity. Get haircuts, for myself and the signalman, eat lunch and then drive in triumph to Fort Hood via I35 to drop the kid back at his post. You're probably thinking, "Great plan, so-called LSP, what went wrong?"

Here's the thing, nothing. The mission executed flawlessly, the traffic even flowed through Waco at a steady 65/70. Miraculous, and we arrived at the objective in record time, an hour and half door to door. But as with so much in life this fast-paced forward movement came at great cost, $80 in gas.

Some Evil Subversive Sticker

Eighty bucks to drive from the Compound to Killeen and back. What? That's outrageous and before you can whistle most popular President in the history of history we'll be looking at $5 a gallon, in Texas. Wow. Thanks, Joe.

So it's a good thing our beloved ruler's invoked special war power emergency authority to relieve pain at the pump by building... what? More oil wells, pipelines from Canada, new refineries? No, of course not, solar panels. Let them eat sunshine and be glad of it. What a risible, corrupt, mendacious, lying, arrogant, out of touch clownshow.

Speaking of which, here's a question for all the economic savants who read this inconsequential mind blog: How did prewar Germany end stagflation and is there a lesson to be learned. Discuss.

Regardless, the kid got off safe and sound at Thunderbird HQ and was happy to be back. After taking his ruck (ridic heavy) to his billet he returned to the rig for a final smoke and goodbye, "Dad, my roommate has a frog." I pondered this, "A frog?" Mind like a steel trap, you see. "Yes," the soldier replied, "It's a sweet frog, I like it. He has three tarantulas too, but they're young."

Farewells over, it was back on the highway for a bizarrely easy if expensive ride home, and I felt blessed in having a son who's made great strides in the last three years. Well done, young man.

And there it is,

Up In Flames

Have you noticed how all our food processing plants are going up in flames? One after another, so who's to blame? Green anarchists, the Democrat Stasi, FBI or something else.

Maybe enterprising members of GRU. Perish the thought. So what's it to be? Your call, readers.

Your old pal,

Vincimus Spatium

Picked the Specialist up from DFW's Terminal D today and all was was well. His flight out of Helsinki was miraculously on time and before you could say "Patton wasn't whacked" there he was, striding into international arrivals with his Lt.

What a relief! To be honest, I'd been afraid he might've been delayed by the present furor in Eastern Europe but no, back home on schedule. Maybe this bodes well, let the reader understand, and I liked his Lt., what a pleasant young man.

But that's just it, young, and very different from the British Officer Corps standard I remember, more Israeli perhaps. Not a bad thing, just different. Regardless, the deployment went well and the kid's happy and fit. I like all of that.

God Bless,

In The Metrosprawl

Sometimes you have to leave the rural haven of bucolic old Texas and venture forth into the metrosprawl, the DFW connurb. And that's what I did, climbed into the rig and headed for Dallas. Why? To sort out a hernia issue with the medicos.

First step, pull into Ma LSP's place, which was fun, as always. Well done, parental LSPs for buying into the 'sprawl where you did, when you did. Result.

The next day was all about an "initial consultation." The surgeon, a very pleasant chap, asked me, "So, mission priest, what's your day job?" I looked the medical sacerdos straight in the eye and said, "That's it, and I edit a magazine, no money you see." He sized this up, "Right, self-pay." Exactly.

The next day I drove down Central Distressway to Northstar Diagnostic for a CT scan. Northstar's in a medical complex/hospital which looks like a boutique hotel, though far more pricey and much less fun. That done?

Drive to the beautifully named Lovers Lane for bloodwork. You see, all this must be accomplished before scalpel meets femoral hernia. Thanks, horse. But whatever, you do what you gotta do, and it was neat to motor tour around Dallas.

Iconic

In other news, the eldest returns from Eastern Europe tomorrow, mission accomplished, and I'll get him at the airport. Surprised by that, you'd think they'd fly the troops back to Ft. Hood directly.

Cheers,

Platinum Jubilee

HRH Queen Elizabeth II celebrates 70 years of anointed monarchy this weekend and the celebration's begun, with Trooping of the Colour, an 82 gun salute by the HAC, a fly over the Mall and the Palace including a Lancaster bomber and more besides.

Simpering D List celeb Meghan Merkle wasn't on the balcony, neither was Beta Harry or  Prince Epstein Andrew. Andy had "Covid," apparently, but Kate was there looking good. Here she is in a carriage, next to some other thing.

Congratulations, your Majesty. Ad multos annos.

God save the Queen,

The Unicorn Brigade

Oleksandr Zhuhan and Antonina Romanova were worried, would they be allowed back onto the front line of the Ukrainian Ost Front after a sex change and gay marriage? "I was really worried," said Antonina, formerly Anthoney, "But everyone was really kind, they recognize our pronouns."

Zhuhan, who identifies as a Cossack male and Antonina, who identifies as a Rimsky Korsakof ballerina have joined the Ukrainian Unicorn Legion, the world's first LGBTQ+1 fighting unit. "You just can't make this sh*t up," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The US wasn't far to follow, with the US Marine Corps broadcasting its support of the gay trans movement in the form of a faggy rainbow bullet recruitment poster. "The gayer we get the more lethal we become," said Sergeant First Class Glitter Fairy to Military Times.

But Russians weren't convinced, "I am not sure," said Hero Commander of Russia Alexandr Shoigu, "if to die laughing. Maybe it is globohomo joke."

Cheers,

Brazen Transfer

Do you remember our rulers giving Zelensky's Ukraine >40 BN? Sure you do, bipartisan effort. GWB comments:

Don’t be surprised if that $40 billion we’re sending him ends up in the pockets of his pals."

Not a penny will leave the Beltway. You see, help for Ukraine has to be built first — here.

Ever wondered why there was such bipartisan support for the measure to the tune of appropriating even more than asked for? A brazen wealth transfer. It’s not Zelensky’s pals who are lining their pockets. In the US, interest in the war will start fading. The goods have been delivered.

It’s monkey pox time!

Don't forget pride month, GWB!

Lexicon

The Big Guy

Let's face it, today's fast moving political spectrum's not easy to understand, so here's a short list of definitions by way of a guide. Via Azmilitary1:

A gerontocracy is a form of oligarchical rule in which an entity is ruled by leaders who are significantly older than most of the adult population.

A kakistocracy is a government run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens.

Kakistocrat

Kleptocracy is a government whose corrupt leaders (kleptocrats) use political power to appropriate the wealth of the people and land they govern.

Baroness Gerontocrat of Kleptocristan is only worth >58M

Corporatocracy  is a term used to refer to an economic, political and judicial system controlled by corporations or corporate interests.

Some Wicked Old Crook

Nepotism is a form of favoritism which is granted to relatives and friends in various fields, including business, politics, entertainment etc.

THE BEAST

Cronyism is the practice of partiality in awarding jobs and other advantages to friends or trusted colleagues, especially in politics

Favouritism is the practice of giving unfair preferential treatment to one person or group at the expense of another.

Here at the Compound we hope you weren't shocked into an early grave by the infographics find this simple lexicon helpful. In related news, Sussman walks.
