HRH Queen Elizabeth II celebrates 70 years of anointed monarchy this weekend and the celebration's begun, with Trooping of the Colour, an 82 gun salute by the HAC, a fly over the Mall and the Palace including a Lancaster bomber and more besides.
Simpering D List celeb Meghan Merkle wasn't on the balcony, neither was Beta Harry or Prince Epstein Andrew. Andy had "Covid," apparently, but Kate was there looking good. Here she is in a carriage, next to some other thing.
Congratulations, your Majesty. Ad multos annos.

The queen has an impressive history of service. I have no use for the rest of the 'royals'. I think of them as decorations and not very good ones.

Kate certainly has it going on. It would be fair to say that's what a princess ought to look like, as compared to and contrasted with Merkle and "some other thing". What were Andrew and Charlie thinking?
She's always conducted herself with dignity and class.
I don't have any celebratory plans for the Jubilee. Does that somehow diminish me? I like the Queen well enough. Bonnie Prince Charlie, the apparent heir, and the plain-looking missus don't add much to the party.
I have never understood the attraction Edward had for Mrs. Simpson, Charles for "some other thing", and wimp Harry for the harridan. These are men who must have been round intelligent and smart looking women like Kate- whut happened?
