Life's Not Easy In The Village Of The Damned

Mueller's testimony was supposed to be a special moment of triumph, a death blow to Orange Man Bad. A hearing like no other, leading to Trump's impeachment and indictment for being literally Hitler, a brazen Russian spy. But no, it didn't work out that way.

"Caught off Guard, Mumbling, Bumbling, Stuttering, Confused, Doddering, Nervous — COMPLETELY LOST!"  shouted The Gateway Pundit, "Dazed And Confused," announced Drudge. "Stumbling, bumbling, unclear, dithering," commented Piers Morgan, and on.

Whitey Bulger Dead - Mueller Time!

Notorious mobster, Whitey Bulger, is dead, killed by an inmate as he was being transferred to a West Virginia prison. 

Things went badly for Bulger, 89, when a prisoner with Mafia ties hit him over the head with a lock in a sock and gouged his eyes out. Bulger had nothing whatsoever to do with Special Prosecutor Mueller.

However, Mueller, who had no connections to Whitey Bulger at all, has been accused of raping a woman at the St. Regis hotel, New York City, in 2010.

Mueller, who heads up the special investigation into the Trump campaign's infamous collusion with the Kremlin, never knew or heard of "Whitey" Bulger and denies raping a woman at the St. Regis.

The Special Prosecutor has referred the rape case to the FBI, which is famed for its honesty, lack of corruption and non-partisan objectivity. 

Mueller says accusations of rape are fraudulent and the result of GOP pay-offs, as claimed by one of his former paralegals. He also never knew, heard of or communicated with Whitey Bulger.

Oh My, What A Downer!

So much meddling in our elections! What scared the totally dispassionate and objective FBI into launching an investigation into Trump's campaign months before his election? 

Why, none other than Alexander Downer, the Australian Foreign Minister who tipped George Papadopoulos to the State Department as a Russian spy.

Surely it's a coincidence that Downer piled $25 million into the Clinton Foundation in 2006 and that the phony Steele Dossier and Land Down Under Report were compiled in London.

Don't say GCHQ/MI6 or to put it another way:

What it shows is that the real meddling wasn't the work of the Terrible Russkis; it was the doing of some of our closest allies, determined to get Hillary Clinton elected. The Australians were owed favors. Christopher Steele got money from the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign. So they all worked together to do their bit to get Hillary elected. It shows that the extent of Deep State isn't something confined to the U.S. It stinks.

But shining the light can be a risky business, not least when it comes to operation Crossfire Hurricane and the slow motion coup against a duly elected president. 

Go ask Adam Lovinger who blew the whistle on Stefan Halper and found himself suspended without pay from the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment.

Here's Lovinger's attorney:

“Yet, we were puzzled by the unprecedented ferocity of efforts to discredit Mr. Lovinger, including leaks from DoD of false and defamatory information to the press,” he said. “Our assumption was that the other contractor about whom Mr. Lovinger explicitly raised concerns – a close confidante of Hillary Clinton – was the reason for the sustained assault on Mr. Lovinger, and that certainly may have played a role.”

Bigley suspects it was more than the Clinton-connected contracts adding, “Mr. Lovinger unwittingly shined a spotlight on the deep state’s secret weapon – Stefan Halper – and threatened to expose the truth about the Trump-Russia collusion narrative than being plotted: that it was all a set-up.”

Something rotten in the deep state of the Union? Surely not, Halper was only paid $1 million for his bit part role in the coup. A sum, curiously enough, similar to General Flynn's legal fees.

Monster Bass Bonanza

Like a gift from heaven it began to rain, rippling the still surface of the small lake and out whirred lines across the water. Tranquil, but not for long.

His First Big Bass

The first Bass plowed into my hook like a sledgehammer coming down on a Clinton Blackberry. Kaboom, and before you could say Russian collusion the fight was on, and what a fight but finally, after about 5 minutes, up came a Bass, a monster Hybrid.

This went on for two days, morning, noon and evening, monster Bass after monster Bass until I lost count. Outrageous, unreal, ridiculous fishing, a make-your-arms-ache Bass bonanza of epic proportions. Pretty much a huge fish with every cast, and here's the thing.

I had some luck with green plastic worms on Texas rigs, very little with topwater lures and no luck at all with crankbaits. These didn't produce; similar, when you think about it, to the Deep State's various attempts to overthrow the President. P**gate, Russian spy, Stormy the Prostitute and on, none of them worked, dammit.

No, but live worms on a #1 baitholder did, these enormous Bass couldn't get enough of them. They loved them like a millionaire socialist loves fauxtrage, and perhaps this confounds conventional wisdom, which advises big hooks and big bait for big fish. 

Whatever the case, the small hook, live worm rig fished up a storm of surging, diving, running, thrashing Bass. Just a whole lot of fun and there's a message in that.

We Are Standing On The Edge

What, the edge of time? Of civil war and the Eschaton itself? No, just the edge of Walmart and the fields in this small slice of rural Texan paradise. But does the Golden Void speak to me? Not really but I won't deny it's not a bad place to be.

The rig's oil is refreshed, its engine will live again to fight another day, and all's well with the world as the sun sets over the fields on the outskirts of town.

A Tale Of Two Nothings

It's been wild, it's been a white-knuckle, thrill-powered ride of Cold War brinksmanship unparalleled since the hunt for Red October itself. Yes, we're talking about Putin, head of SPECTRE and KAOS overthrowing our great democracy through the agency of his spy, Trump, and his satrap lackey, Sessions. 

Espionage subversion on a par with the Bourne Supremacy that overthrew our rightful ruler, Hillary, in her bid for power.

The only problem with this tissue of lies that's been peddled by our lying, mendacious, corrupt, elite, venal mainstream media and their Democrat masters is that there isn't any proof. Not a shred of evidence.

You're Fired

Onetime FBI supremo, Comey, was going to blow the lid off of the vile conspiracy with his damning testimony. And... he didn't, except to say that he'd told the infamous Russian spy, Trump, that he wasn't under investigation. On three occasions, no less.

Perfidious Putinite 

Then there's the perfidious Sessions, who testified today before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Surely the keen-eyed lawmakers on the investigating panel, such as John McCain, would unmask Putin's diminutive puppet.

No. Didn't happen. Nothing. No evidence for the Kremlin's epic success in bringing down Hillary's ill-fated campaign through hacking DNC emails and revealing the corrupt workings of The Party to the public via Wikileaks.

Here in the Compound's fast-paced, high-energy newsroom we're disappointed. We were hoping for a story  and all we got was a tale of two nothings, yet more testimony revealing exactly nothing about Trump's collusion with the evil Kremlin.
