Don't get me wrong, it's great to be on retreat, but it's not very safe because we're not allowed to defend ourselves.
Shia LaBeouf |
There you are, quietly saying your prayers when up pops Shia LaBeouf with a pump action and takes the Rural Dean hostage, all the while screaming "he will not divide us!"
Churchill's Back |
You, steady as Winston Churchill's bust in the Oval Office, tell the deranged performance artist that he's "not allowed to bring a firearm onto the premises" and had "better cut it out." Lawless millionaire socialist Shia then proceeds to go postal. Disaster.
Looks Safe, Isn't Safe |
Think, that nightmare scenario would have been averted if a few good men had been armed and knew how to use their weapons. But no, the Jesuits are intent on making their rural Texan haven unsafe in the name of safety.
Such casuistry.

If they don't want to provide MPs at the gate and a secure perimeter, then you say "Bye!" I'm relieved that two armed citizens reacted the way they did when that jackwagon opened up at the San Antonio mall this weekend. The result would have been much different had it occurred at my local mall, as they banned *all* lawful carry of firearms on their property. I like to say, it's only illegal if you get caught, but I can understand not wanting to grace them with your presence or business.
Not all Jesuits are vile, Marxist idiots, but most of them are, these days. Sorry about that. We have a parish in Castle Rock with signs like that. We consider it unsafe and avoid it. Our church in Foxfield is free of any such signage, and I often carry while worshipping. It's good to worship in peace, securely and safely.
Let's hope no one decides to attack this Jesuit compound, Mattexian.
I like this retreat house, Grunt, but I'm not impressed by the signage. We haven't put up anything like that at the missions -- I'd probably lose people if I did!
LSP - I believe you!
Jesuits would be a lot safer if every Texan in there carried a .45.
They don't see it that way, but it's true.
