St. Michael the Archangel

It's the Feast of the Archangel Michael, so here's a prayer:

Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be thou our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast down into hell Satan and all the wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

The Archangel Michael is the patron saint of paratroopers. Why is that? you ask incredulously. Because he's a warrior and he has wings.

Defende nos,

LSP

If he also had fins and flippers, he'd be the patron saint of SEALs.

I think that the patron saint of SEALs is also the patron saint of lost causes...I don't know who that is, but there is a lot of blood and pain on our end and that we cause but it doesn't seem to make the world better.

That would be St. Jude.

An aquatic Archangel sounds neat though. Maybe SMA could be co-opted... somehow.

Oh, THAT is why they name hospitals after St. Jude...you're gonna die.
