The Smoke Of Satan

 

Well look at this. A man with a beard pretending to be a woman, who's pretending to be a Christian, in a church dedicated to a God he doesn't believe in. And that's just it, people pretending to be something they don't believe in anyway. It's a very grave and blasphemous mockery, to put it politely.

Do you think, gentle readers, that God can be mocked and scorned with impunity, any more than reality itself can be? Of course not, impudent, self-willed, delusional, satanic pride always crashes on the rock of that which is, He who is. Go on, try it yourself and see if I'm not right.

In the meanwhile, the smoke of Satan has entered the Church, watched on in this instance by what appears to be a junior Elton John. Is it an Episcopal Church? Looks like it and if so, once an Anglo-Catholic church, note the Crucifix on the table masquerading as an Altar.

I tell you, they heap burning coals upon their heads.

A Sign

 

There, right there in front of me was a sign. What did it mean, was it good or bad? The TLA (Three Letter Acronym) was obviously good, but what about the numerics? Good question, and I offered one up to the Archangel, defende nos, as I drove to Made-in-China-Mart.

Where, lo and behold, was yet another valu-pak of 12 gauge for the bizarrely low cost of twenty bucks. Buy. And hold. Here's another sign.

In related news, the Peoples Currency bounded up from its recent clubbing and's fighting in the .50s. Not shabby by anyone's standards, but let's see a breakout to the swinging .60s and beyond.

St. Michael the Archangel

It's the Feast of the Archangel Michael, so here's a prayer:

Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be thou our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast down into hell Satan and all the wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

The Archangel Michael is the patron saint of paratroopers. Why is that? you ask incredulously. Because he's a warrior and he has wings.
