I was standing in the harsh Texan T shirt winter of a Walmart car park and looked up at the sun. It glowed with incandescent light through the high clouds, like an angel on its flight path down to the rigs and shopping carts parked right there on the asphalt. 

What are angels? The Angelic Doctor, St. Thomas Aquinas, teaches us that they're purely spiritual, intellectual beings and therefore incorporeal, necessitated by the "perfection of the universe" and the nature of divine creation.

Angels, we learn, are without form and matter and exist fully actualized, beings of almost pure act. They are, however, inferior to God because they are contingent upon Him. Good stuff and you can read all about it here. But maybe this is all a bit highbrow, form and matter, species and genus, essence and existence and all of that. Let's bring the definition down to earth by reflecting on what angels aren't.

Obama v. Putin: Small, Weak, Spiteful and Lame

In doing so, President Putin made Barack look small and weak.

Everyone knows that outgoing President, Barak Obama, is small and weak compared to Russian strongman, Vladimir Putin, but the comparison grew more invidious still when the lame duck architect of hope and change decided to expel 35 Russian diplomats in retaliation for alleged spying. 

Pathetic

Rather than reply in kind and escalate tensions between the US and Russia, Putin wrote this:

The diplomats who are returning to Russia will spend the New Year’s holidays with their families and friends. We will not create any problems for US diplomats. We will not expel anyone. We will not prevent their families and children from using their traditional leisure sites during the New Year’s holidays. Moreover, I invite all children of US diplomats accredited in Russia to the New Year and Christmas children’s parties in the Kremlin.

And in conclusion:

It is regrettable that the Obama Administration is ending its term in this manner. Nevertheless, I offer my New Year greetings to President Obama and his family.

My season’s greetings also to President-elect Donald Trump and the American people.

What can we say. Obama decides to end his presidency by bullying children and attempting to reignite the Cold War, all on the premise of Russian hacking in the US election. Hacking for which there's not a shred of evidence outside the anguished snarls of Team Hillary, who weren't too happy about their emails being made public.

This pro-Al-Qaeda position was news, however, to America’s military personnel in that region.

Reflect on the NWO skulguggery, malfeasance and outright perfidy of our globalist elitocracy and ask yourself how happy you'd be, defending our Jihad frenemies under the command of Barack Obama and his chosen Illuminati puppet successor, Hillary. Maybe not so much.

The Million Muslim President

President Obama has overseen and encouraged Muslim immigration to the US on a level never seen before, with 832,014 green cards issued to people from majority Muslim nations between 2009-2014. The trend looks set to continue, topping out at 1.1 million permits issued to people from Muslim nations by the end of his presidency.

That'd be quite a legacy for Mr. Obama and we have to ask, what could possibly go wrong with over a million people, who pledge to follow the example of the prophet Mohammad, living in your country?

How about murdering people in a cafe, or a concert.

Or shooting up your friends at work.

Maybe unloading in the Newsroom?

Before taking out the clubbers?

And what's wrong with chopping off heads. After all, the Prophet did it.

And on, and on, and on. At what point or level of atrocity are people going to wake up and smell the Jihad? But maybe they don't have to; after all, the Orlando shootings were caused by the NRA and Christians.

Who is the Beast and the False Prophet, and what does the bestial number, 666, signify? Everyone wants to know. But before we get carried away and leap to obvious conclusions, pointing our fingers at Barack, Hillary and Soros, consider St. John's numeric source, namely Solomon, who serves as a type, or forerunner, of Antichrist.

Recall Solomon's apostasy after the departure of the Queen of Sheba, in which he breaks the laws of kingship, multiplying horses, women and gold to himself contrary to Dueteronomy 17: 16-18. How much gold did the Astaroth, Moloch worshiping king amass? We're told in I Kings. 10: 14, "The weight of gold that came to King Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty six talents of gold."

There you have it, the infernal number of idolatrous abomination and a blasphemous parody of 888, which is the number of Jesus reckoned by rabbinical Gematria. But if Solomon serves as a type of Antichrist, how was that played out in St. John's time? Here's Farrer; after discussing the sixfold pattern of divine judgement in the Apocalypse, he writes:

"On the sixth day of the week, and the sixth hour, says St. John (Jn. 19: 13-22), the kingdoms of Christ and Antichrist looked one another in the face in Pilate's court, and the adherents of the False Prophet (Caiaphas) firmly wrote on their foreheads the mark of the Beast, when they said, 'We have no King but Caesar.'"

We have no King but Caesar. How does that differ, in effect, from the present spirit of the age?

The Baptism of Christ

It's good to be back in Texas and we celebrated the Baptism of Our Lord today. I suggested that Christ's baptism served as a model, or template for our own, and encouraged everyone to renew their baptismal vows.

Part of that means renouncing the "world," as well as the flesh and the Devil, and I asked one of the congregations what that meant. "Just what are the 'evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God?'" I questioned, in a display of stunning homiletic brilliance, "Some would say 'Global Warming' or would that be 'Climate Change?'" Everyone laughed at that. 

Speaking of which, El Nino's been captured in Mexico, thanks to Sean Penn and Nino's vainglorious desire to make a Narcos style biopic. But the question is, how long will the notorious weather criminal kingpin stay in jail?

Pathetic Oberlin Students Demand Fried Chicken.

Ultra lib Oberlin college in Ohio is in an uproar about culturally insensitive food, with students, apparently from the Black Student Union, demanding fried chicken as a regular menu item, and less cream. 

Via the Oberlin Review -- Students called for CDS to adhere to more traditional meals, including making fried chicken a permanent feature on the Sunday night menu and providing more vegan and vegetarian options.

And we'll have none of that white privilege cream, either.

The petition also outlines a list of proposed meals, offering authentic food ideas, recommendations on how to properly prepare food and reduce the amount of cream used in dishes because, as stated in the petition, “Black American food doesn’t have much cream in it.”

But culinary quarrels are the least of it. The pampered libleft elite at Oberlin have presented their white supremacist oppressors with a list of 50 demands.

Ride English, in Texas

You can ride English in Texas, there's no "rule," and that's just what I did, drove over to visit a church person and tacked up, English-style. Blue Posting Trot came along too; he enjoys being out in the country with the other dogs.

I rode out at a post to a fanfare of barking, and headed off down the dirt road to a big plowed field. It brought back memories, because I used to run the ill-behaved Thoroughbred, JB, there. So I paused for a while and remembered that, then moved on.

The Arabian mare wasn't too sure she wanted to endure being separated from her pasture pals, but tough luck, horse, ride on. I picked up a gallop(s), too, though mindful of the uneven ground. No point in injuring the horse, or yourself, on a sun-baked boulder of plowed dirt.

Ready, Set, Go!

All in all a great ride, and I enjoyed riding English for a change. What are the benefits, if any? I'd say it gives you more contact with the horse; there's simply less between you and the animal. This lends itself to greater control, if you know how to use it. Some say that dressage skills make for better Western riding, and that sounds right to me, but I'm no expert.

What I do know is that it's a world of fun going fast, at one with the horse; slow too, and perhaps riding English has an advantage, because of closer contact, unlike our President's epic fail in Syria. But that's a different story.

How true this is! Many of the Pilgrim Fathers were Muslim, poor, unemployed Muslims, who fled England in search of new opportunities and a Caliphate in the New World.

George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Quincy Adams, all Muslims. How galling it must have been for Cornwallis to surrender to the Janissaries of the Continental Army!

No wonder, then, that the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are Islamic documents, establishing Sharia in the North American Ummah. Think of any one of our institutions, movements of thought and the individuals behind them, and you will find Islam, woven warp and weft into the fabric of our great nation. Since its very founding! (that's enough, we get the point -- ed.)

The first Mosque was built in America in 1915, by the way, and I'm off to the range for some personal jihad.

I know. This so-called blog is a frivolous mixture of clowns, guns, side-swipes at random mountebanks and anything else I care to get into. But here's some serious thought, from Guido De Ruggiero, summarizing Tocqueville:

“As compared with old-fashioned personal despotism, this new despotism which is growing up in the democratic nations of our day is more sweeping and less painful; it degrades men without torturing them. It expresses itself through an absolute State power, detailed, uniform, provident, and mild, which would be paternal had it been designed to prepare men for a life of maturity; but its true intention is to arrest them permanently at the stage of infancy.”

Ruggiero was writing in the 1920s, Tocqueville in the 1830s and I'd say both are right on the money today.
