Never Surrender

Are you inclined, dear readers, to surrender? As in, "Oh, I read the New York Times and Politico and NPR and now I have to be a globalist NWO puppet." Sure, go on, go right ahead, dumbass, obey your rulers.

Here at the Compound we take a different path, the path of freedom, truth and beauty. As in part of that involves firearms; a free man can defend himself, a slave cannot. Take note, serfs.

Marine Le Pen Lawfared

Popular French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has been found guilty of embezzlement by a national court and banned from political life for a period up to and including the country's 2027 presidential elections. Le Pen was also hit with a two year suspended jail sentence and a further two years house arrest, she will appeal the verdict.

Marine Le Pen joins a growing list of lawfared political figures, such as Bolsonaro in Brazil, Imran Khan in Pakistan, Calin Georgescu in Romania and Donald Trump here in the US. Elon Musk weighed in on social media, "When the radical left can’t win via democratic vote, they abuse the legal system to jail their opponents. This is their standard playbook throughout the world." Italy's deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini went further, blasting the court's decision as "a declaration of war from Brussels."

Keen-eyed readers of this inconsequential taco stand on the Information Super Highway might remember a time when Europe and the Free World prided itself on free elections, a free press and an independent judiciary. Now? Not so much. Why, then, should the US under its current leadership spend a single cent on the defense of countries which are at best against our values.

Defense aside, maybe tariffs and increasingly surging nationalism will bring Rainbow Fortress Europa to something resembling sense.

SEA HAG

It'd be a shame if this short Sea Hag infovid went viral, wouldn't it:

SEAHAG has an estimated net worth of over $230 million, which wasn't bad for a socialist civil servant on a congressional salary of $174,000. SEAHAG makes such good trades that there's even an X account tracking her fiscal genius, Pelosi Stock Tracker. Check it out and maybe you too can become multi-millionaire Socialist Sea Hag rich.

Thanks for the tip, LL.

Listen Up

This is long but worth the watch. Erik Prince tells it like it is, and thanks, LL, for the link, old but gold:

Make of this what you will, and while you're at it, reflect on previous invasions of Russia, not least Kursk.

Two Tier Kier Bans Ninja Swords

What is this, some kind of pathetic joke? No, it's real and it's happening now in NetZero commonsense Britain. That's right, if you want to live out your fantasy ninja dreams in the Sceptered Isle you're fresh outta luck, because 2TK's banned your sword of choice. No more ninjato steel for you, serfs.

OK, you've got until the summer all you UK Ninjas, but don't take it from me, here's 2KT zhirself on social media, or at least one of they/them staffers:

Yeah, all that knife crime. Caused by all those Moslem and POC votes. Better ban ninja swords then, hadn't you. For goodness sake, the country whose empire once spanned the globe is now a Rainbow Stasi, Ninjato Banning Great Replacement Globalist laughing stock.

That's not all, the UK also has some of the highest industrial energy costs in the world, four times that of the US. But don't worry, no one's going to cut you off with their ninja sword when you can't afford your bill, they'll just send you to jail for mean Facebook posts.

Maybe the UK's heading towards a crisis if it's not already in one. I, for one, wouldn't want to be there when and if it erupts.

Prodigal

You're probably wondering why anyone reads the appalling Atlantic, much less giving its Editor access to sensitive defense information. Or perhaps you're pondering the World Ice Theory, what caused the Younger Dryas megafauna extinction event, and whether catastrophism is preferable to uniformitarianism. Or whatever, but here at the Compound we're reflecting on the parable of the Prodigal Son. Here's St. Justin Popovic:

Only the gospel of Christ fully knows the mystery of sin and the problem of sin and everything which hides within it. The prodigal son of the Gospel is the perfect example of the repentant sinner. The Gospel shows us that man, through his free will, can share his life with Earth and with Heaven, with Satan and with God, with paradise and with hell. Sin gradually strips man of everything divine in him, paralyzes his every divine inclination and desire, until it finally throws him into the bosom of Satan. And then man reaches the plight of grazing the swine of his master, the Devil. The swine are passions, which are always greedy and gluttonous. In such a life, the unfortunate man is nothing more than insane. In a shocking parable of the Gospel, the Lord says about the prodigal son, ‘he came to himself,’ (Luke 15:17) How did he come to himself? He came to himself through repentance. Through sin, man becomes mad, insane. Every sin, even the most seemingly insignificant one, is always an insanity of the soul. Through repentance, man comes to his senses becomes complete again, comes to himself. Then he cries out loud to God, runs to Him, and cries towards Heaven, ‘Father, I have sinned against Heaven, and in thy sight’ (Luke 15:21). And what is the heavenly Father doing? He is always infinitely merciful upon seeing His child in a state of repentance. He has compassion for him, runs, embraces him, and kisses him. He orders His heavenly hosts, the holy angels: ‘Bring forth the best robe and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: and bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: for this is My son who was dead, and is alive again; and he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.’ (Luke 16:22-24) And this is taking place for each and every one of us, and for the sake of every sinner who repents. Namely, joy and happiness is taking place in the heaven of the All-merciful Lord and God, and together with Him, all of the holy angels.

Every sin, even the most seemingly insignificant one, is always an insanity of the soul. Yes indeed, but never forget the mercy and love of God, which runs out to meet the repentant sinner.

God Bless,

LSP

Just Take A Day Off

Unlike our adversary the Devil, I try to take a day off on Monday. It doesn't always work, far from it, but today it does, at least so far. And what a day it is, sunny, clear, bright Texan weather, a lull before the ferociously incoming heat of summer. Beautiful, and with it, lazy Mexican music floats across the air from Eduardo's yard only to meet Seven by Seven and Riding a Raid. I tell you, it's a veritable battle of the bands.

Speaking of which, d'ye think 47's got a chance at defeating the pernicious, partisan, fraudulent, unconstitutional lawfare being waged against him by off-the-hook rogue judges? It seems he's appealing to SCOTUS, good luck with that, but perhaps the old I'm going to ignore you gambit's the best play. Who knows, situation developing.

Not unlike the war in Ukraine, curiously. Word has it that UKR reps left their peace meeting in Riyadh "thunder faced." Who knows, maybe they were told the US cash spigot's about to be turned off. Or not, let's see. That in mind, I don't recall voting to spend a single penny on the Cocaine Fuhrer. Regardless, grilling's on the menu for later.

Roger Out.

Something Serious

Enough of the frivolous tomfoolery that characterizes this so-called "blog," it's time for something serious. Namely some wisdom for the third Sunday of Lent from Austin Farrer:

"CHRIST broke his mysterious body and gave it to his disciples at the Supper without explaining at that time what the breaking and giving would mean.  There was no need, the facts would presently make it clear.  What, then, was done to this body?  It was stripped, scourged, and nailed to a cross: stripped of all dignity and all possession, scourged with the stroke of penal justice, and nailed up like a dead thing while it was still alive.  The body you receive in this sacrament accomplished its purpose by nailing to a tree.  You are to become this body, you are to be nailed: nailed to Christ’s sacrificial will.  The nails that hold you are God’s commandments, your rules of life, prayers, confessions, communions regularly observed.  Let us honour the nails for Christ’s sake, and pray that by the virtue of his passion they may hold fast."

The nails that hold you are God’s commandments, your rules of life, prayers, confessions, communions regularly observed. Surely Farrer was the greatest Anglican theologian of the last century.

God Bless,
