What?

Remarkable footage of a Lancet loitering munition hitting a Ukrainian team. Like... what? Like this is a whole new phase of warfare and it's terrifying. I hope those guys got out of there alive but know some didn't.

More than that, I hope the people responsible for this slaughterhouse, and it is, should be held accountable.  Victoria Nuland, we're not looking at you, not for a second.

What utter satans,

Epiphany Insurrection

A Typical Threat to Democracy

Today's January 6, the Feast of the Epiphany, the Manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles. Gold, Frankincense, Myrrh. It's also a day that will live in infamy.

That's right, this time one year ago, 1 million extremists shook the foundations of our hallowed Constitutional Republic by daring to protest their absurd, nonsensical, conspiracy theory that the US elections were somehow "rigged."

Pearl Harbor was nothing on the J6 INSURRECTION!

What brazen, literal, fascist insurrection. It was like a coup, a putsch by Hitler, Pinochet or Franco. Like Pearl Harbor or planes crashing into the World Trade Center or the Pentagon itself, these literal Nazis, in the pay of Russia, yes, Russia, walked into the Capitol and took selfies. Then they left. Such utter, literal, brazen Nazis.

You Utter Nazis. Democracuy Nearly Died.

Thank Gaia they've been locked up in solitary confinement for the past year. How dare you threaten our ruling elite overlords, you Hitletites. In the meanwhile, serfs, roll over and get your shot every six months because, you know, Pfizer doesn't want to get any richer.

And the Left loves it. But what about everyone else, will there be an epiphany? And while we're at it, why are our ruling millionaire socialists so afraid of a coup, aren't they more popular than any other Party in history? So wear your masks, peasants.

Your Old Friend,

RAIN

Thunder rolled across the sky like the opening barrage on the Kursk salient as lightning cracked and exploded, shaking the Compound's ancient timbers with primal sound and fury. Then it began to rain.

A typical Aberystwyth Street Scene

No, not Aberystwyth or Oxford drizzle, but real rain, big rain, Texan rain. And with it the temperature plummeted from high 90s to low 70s in a matter of minutes. Lone cowboys caught in the open froze instantly, "snuff" still their mouths, half drunk cans of Coors Lite turned to ice.

Well look at that, it's Oxford and it's raining

The storm's subsided now and this small rural farming community rejoices in the newfound cool of the morning. Thank you, God, for sending us rain and a respite from living in an oven. And yes, it may be a small victory in our bitter war against The Weather, but every advance counts.

From the Front,

Come Hell or High Water

What do you do when the lightning fills the sky and thunder crashes like the guns of Kursk, as a mighty deluge of rain pours down from the sky? You can sit at home like some kind of pajama boy in a onesie and cower in your parents' basement sipping lattes and hot chocolate. Sure, you can do that, that's one option. Or you can climb into your rig, crank up the jukebox, and drive through the storm to Mass.

I chose to avoid Hell and brave the high water, which isn't as amusing as it sounds when you're hydroplaning across a flooded country two lane. Slow down, you're of no liturgical use, in this world, if you wipe out and die in the wilds of Hill County.

Slow Down, Fool.

The storm raged throughout the Mass, like Hillary Clinton thwarted of a speaking fee, or Satan, falling to earth like lightning.

Wake of the flood,

Stormfront

It was just another day in Texas until the clouds rolled in, the air turned green, and thunder broke out like the guns of Kursk.

Rare Paved Road, Still Holding

Deluge followed, overwhelming this town's barely functional drainage system, turning potholed, half-paved streets into torrents of churning, muddy water.

Typical Pre-Storm House.

Homes have been washed away, leaving their occupants to wander, dazed, through the trash-strewn wake of the flood, as looters pick their way through ripped Walmart bags and broken children's toys.

Emergency Vehicle Park

The church still stands, a testament to the power of brick. So does the Compound.

We will survive this storm, as always, by the grace of God.
