Mariupol Surrender

After a weeks long last ditch holdout in the Azovstal Bunker, an 11 square km steel plant in Ukraine's Mariupol, members of the AZOV regiment and ancillary forces finally had enough. Starved of ammunition, food, water, medicine and under continuous bombardment they started to surrender.

Yesterday saw some 250 able bodied soldiers and 50 severely wounded hand themselves over to the Russian/Allied forces, who sent them on their way to hospital and "filtration" centers." Here's a video of one batch surrendering:

AZOV, which started off life as a paramilitary militia during the 2014 Maidan, grew into a fully fledged fighting force and was eventually incorporated into the Ukrainian Army within the command structure of Zelensky's secret police, the SBU. Not dissimilar, when you think of it, to the SS.

Similarity notwithstanding, AZOV and associated Ukrainian units draw heavily on the symbols and ideology of Hitler's doomed Reich and, reportedly, more than a few of their methods. Good luck with filtration, boys.

There were evidently around 14,000 Ukrainian troops deployed to defend Mariupol against the RF. Over the course of the battle this dwindled to perhaps 8,000 at the time of encirclement and finally to something like 2,500 in Der Bunker. These are now surrendering and I don't blame them, not for a second.

According to RF sources the surrender continues en masse tonight, with AZOV crawling out of the cracks and tunnels of the shattered steel plant "like cockroaches."

So there you have it. Two questions for all you experts out there. First, Russia and its Lugansk, Donetsk proxies went into this war outnumbered, not least in Mariupol. Why? Second, how come literal armed Nazi Frei Korps style Nazis are running around in Ukraine and we're supporting them. Why?

I suggest 1: Because Russian intel severely messed up, projecting a Crimean solution (where most of the UKR forces/police went over to the RF) onto an very different context and 2: Because Ukrainian nationalism was never denazified, far from it, and hey, the enemy of our enemy is our friend despite all the rainbow trans garbage agitprop.

The latter, curiously, has persuaded hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of leftists to enthusiastically support the MIC (Military Industrial Complex). Well done, PsyOps. And whereat Poland?

TERF Wars! Trouble in Rainbow Paradise

It appears there's trouble in the UK rainbow paradise, a TERF war! Here's a guest post by our British correspondent to put you in the picture:

The latest round of the TERF (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) War took place in Manchester this Sunday. A rally for womens' rights at Suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst’s (1858-1928) statue in Manchester was confronted, not just by the Gender-confused coloured hair Trans brigade (TRAs), but also by the sinister deployment of uniformed Antifa activists from the ‘Anarchist Federation’, an avowed Anarcho-Communist organisation.

The TRAs and their Antifa fan boys occupied the site of the statue to prevent the Womens' rally. But the women with considerably more people supporting them, used common sense, and rallied opposite the enraged TRAs and their Antifa Poundland Ninja guard.

The women were there to celebrate their hard-won rights. Whereas the TRAs and Antifa were apoplectic that independently minded women would dare give speeches, perform poetry (they are getting better), dress up in dinosaur costumes (Ed., ahem), wantonly dance, sing humorous songs and generally have a laugh. Mostly at the expense of the Trans movement. So what's it all about?

In the UK this is an important front-line in the culture war. It's predicated on a simple disagreement: Is sex an immutable biological characteristic observable from birth, or just a biological construct that can be chosen by an individual? For the TERFs a woman is an adult human female. For the TRAs a woman is anyone who identifies as a woman. Thus it cuts to the heart of the post-Modernist agenda. Is reality tangible, measurable and definable, or is reality an infinitely adaptable linguistic construct that defies measurement and definition.

Well Yes. Yes it Does

For the TERFs evidence is fact-based, demonstrable, and measurable. For the TRAs evidence is theoretically informed, arises from experiential opinion and focuses upon manipulation of the narrative. Emphasis on narrative, for example:

When TERFs say that biological men should not be housed in womens' prison, TRAs claim that they are endangering Transwomen’s safety. When TERFs objects to uninformed, vulnerable, and young biological Women being subject to mastectomies’ and pumped full of hormones because they are suffering from gender dysphoria, the TRAs denounce the TERFs as engaging in conversion therapy. When TERFs want Rape shelters to be Women only, TRAs denounce the TERFs as Transphobic and single-sex Rape shelters as lacking diversity. When TERFs say a woman is a biological category, the TRAs call them fascists.

It was because of labeling opponents as fascist that Antifa were in attendance at the TERF War Battle of Manchester. When a woman with a Suffragette flag approached the statue, Antifa attacked her. How stunning and brave.

The Greater Manchester Police – officially the most LGBT+ Police force in the UK - rather than arrest the man who assaulted her chose to have an ‘advisory’ word with the woman who had the temerity to fly the Suffragette flag in front of a statue of Britain’s leading Suffragette. Neatly demonstrating the institutional capture of the Greater Manchester Police by the TRA ideology. However, TERFs can meme:

So if managing the narrative is central to winning the argument the Battle of Manchester was a victory for the TERFs, who went down the pub and celebrated defeating Manchester’s Antifa Ninjas without even really trying. Now, Sun Tzu could write a book about that.

I hope you all had a beautiful and uplifting worship experience this morning and I have to say, it was good here in a country mission way. Is that the best way? Not necessarily, it's one way, no rule. But uplift in mind, did you watch the Eurovision Song Contest?

Poland - Revenge!

 

Draw Your Own Conclusion

Birds sing, roosters crow, someone's grill fills the air with the smokey aroma of BBQ and all's well with the world. Well, not really, but this little part of it's doing alright even though gas has shot through four bucks a gallon and looks set to climb higher still.

Whatev, here in the North Central Texas Military Zone all's pretty much under control, for now. But what about Poland? Here's this, from the American Conservative:

 

Ten weeks after the conflict began, it is instructive to re-examine the strategic picture. The war against Russia in Ukraine has evolved, but not in the way Western observers predicted. Ukrainian forces look shattered and exhausted. The supplies reaching Ukrainian troops fighting in Eastern Ukraine are a fraction of what is needed. In most cases, replacements and new weapons are destroyed long before they reach the front.

Confronted with the unambiguous failure of U.S. assistance and the influx of new weapons to rescue Ukrainian forces from certain destruction, the Biden administration is desperate to reverse the situation and save face. Poland seems to offer a way out. More important, Polish President Andrzej Duda and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have both expressed the desire to erase the borders between Poland and Ukraine.

Unconfirmed reports from Warsaw indicate that after Washington rejected the proposals for a no-fly zone over Ukraine, along with the transfer of Polish MIG-29 aircrafts to Ukrainian pilots, the Polish general staff was quietly instructed to formulate plans for intervention in the Ukrainian conflict by seizing the western part of Ukraine. Naturally, military action of this scale would require Kiev’s approval, but given Washington’s de facto control of the Zelensky government, approval for Polish military intervention should not be a problem.

 

OK, Col. Douglas Macgregor takes a dim view of the Ukraine's chance of success but his point is that Poland, with tacit US approval, moves to, ahem, assist the embattled NATO proxy and so widen the scope of the war. Big drinks, massive checks all 'round and thank Gaia Raytheon's so green.

By way of context. There's little love lost between Poland and Ukrainian nationalists. Cast your mind back to the Volyn Tragedy of 1943 onwards, in which the UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army) tortured and killed between 50,000-100,000 Polish men, women and children, mostly women and children. Stepan Bandera, once and present Ukrainian nationalist hero, leader and Nazi collaborator encouraged this ethnic cleansing. Why? 

Because he wanted a pure Ukrainian state and Poles weren't part of this vision, partly because of that nation's history of control over large parts of what we now call Ukraine. "They ruled and enslaved us," thought Bandera and now we kill them. His people sure did. 

Yes indeed. Poland hasn't forgotten Volyn, or the Russians. Again, I leave you with this:

Timing is Key

 

There you are, all hot and ready with a new custom heater in your hands and you look at the thing on the end of the barrel, a Sure Fire SOCOM muzzle brake, and it doesn't look right, the indexing indent thing isn't at the correct 6 'O Clock, the timing is all wrong. Dam, so whaddya do?

DIY? or drive to Fun Guns in Waco to get their armourer to sort the thing out. I chose the latter option, not least because I wanted to revisit Fun Guns, and what a fun gun shop it is! You walk in and there's some kind of low key Death Metal playing, rock on, and guess what.

The staff are friendly and not condescending. What?!? you ask, "Inna gun shop?!?" Yes, in this gun shop. So I looked the counter fella in the eye, all Spetznaz, and asked, "I say, old chap, the timing on this wretched SOCOM muzzle brake seems off, what? Can you fix it?"

Sure enough they did. On. The. Spot. For free. Wow, just exemplary service. Totally impressed and I tell you, go to FUN GUNS if you're in the vicinity. Caveat, I asked the helpful counter fella about ammo, what you charging, sort of thing. $14 for a pack of 20 5.56, more for green tip, apparently.

"Are you shooting indoor range," asked the amiable ammo vendor, "if not you may be able to get away with these (green tip etc @ 14 bucks). I looked at the stupidly overpriced bullets and resisted the impulse to say dam your impudence, "Hey man, I just shoot up the countryside and I'm gonna hold fire, 'preciate ya."

But the bullet thing's a small cavil, FUN GUNS is alright. Check 'em out if you're in the wasteland that is Waco. Obvs need some glass, Vortex? Can't or won't afford Night Force/Schmidt Bender :)

Democrats and the Left love abortion, it's like a sacrament to them, an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual anti-grace. A demonic sacrament if you like, and they defend it with religious fanaticism. Witness their shrieking fury over the  leaked SCOTUS draft  ruling, which would put abortion law in the hands of state legislatures.

Pan to protests, illegal but so what, outside the homes of Supreme Court Justices, vandalism of churches and the disruption/invasion of the Mass by enraged abortionists. How dare you attempt to limit us killing our babies. To put it another way, and here's the anti-grace, the Luciferian pride of the thing, nothing must stand in the way of my freedom to do what I want with my body, even to the extent of killing my child.

So much for radical autonomy run amok, for Crowley's do what thou will shall be the whole of the law or Sanger's No Gods No Masters!, all this imagined liberty degenerating into murder of the most heinous kind, of a mother's love for her child and the child himself. Such satanism.

Leaving aside the deep roots of Marx's you've got no value unless you're an economic producer, c'mon womyn, hurry up and be a wage slave and abort your kids, Democrats tried a home run around SCOTUS, attempting to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. This failed in the Senate by 49-51 votes.

If it had passed, S. 4132 would have forced "states to legalize late-term abortions, remove informed consent laws, and prevent restrictions on gruesome fetal dismemberment procedures." That's right, if it had passed, point of birth abortion would have been enshrined in the law of the land.

Stand back for a moment and consider what we've become, a nation in which our ruling political party openly advocates and champions killing babies in the womb, up to the point of birth. Reflect, do you think that God would bless such a country?

Yes, these people are sick, and they're openly calling for war. And no wonder, their Father was a murder from the beginning.

Just back from the metrosprawl and what a good visit, grilling, a custom AR which sadly got lost when the kayak overturned in the Trinity and on. But I noticed something strange, Dallas had gone full Zelensky.

Will The Torture Never Stop?

 

"Have we not suffered enough?" sobbed Annalise Kovalenko over the sonic attack, "Please, will this torture never stop?" Kovalenko is just one of many innocent Ukrainians scarred by what appears to be yet another incident of "friendly fire" in the war torn nation, an impromptu gig by Bono and Edge in the Kiev metro.

The number of civilians injured by the Bono-Edge anti-personnel munition is currently unknown but could reach into the 100s. Codenamed PopStar, the aging Bono-Edge is designed to deliver devastating losses on concentrations of troops and material, but clearly missed its target.

This is the latest example of outdated Western military aid gone awry, following Pelosi, Darth-Blinken, BoJo, DocJill and RainbowJustine "smart" bombs landing on Ukraine's capital city. Here at the Compound we have to ask, what next, the ancient Geldof submunition? 

And perhaps cynically, are we deliberately depleting our outdated military stockpiles with a view to replenishment and profit, all at the expense of Kiev and its people?
