You Dirty Beasts!

If you lost all your guns when the canoe capsized on the Brazos you don't need to worry about cleaning them because they're gone, lost to the waters of the deep. But say, hypothetically, you were able to retrieve some of the firearms, perhaps with rope and magnets. Well then, you'd clean them.

Light and Fast

Otherwise they'd be filthy, dirty, beasts and wouldn't work properly, and what's the point of a gun if it doesn't work? Speaking of dirty, I like gas guns a lot, they're fun to shoot, but they do get fouled up and take time to clean.

7.62 Weightlifting, anyone?

Thanks a lot, "gas impingement." Still, it works, and I like the low recoil of the .308/7.62 AR as much as I dislike the weight of the thing. Is it a deadly assault rifle? Good question, it's certainly black, so perhaps it is. Who knows, maybe it'll learn to take a thermal and assault the nocturnal porcuswine.

Typical Street Scene in Biden's America

But that's in the future. In the meanwhile, I'm waiting for ammo prices to drop from their currently obscene heights; 50 cents per round for .22LR, really? Over a buck for a round of 5.56, what? And that's if you can find it.

Not that it matters, I lost all my guns when the skiff hit a reef in Lake Whitney and sank beneath the waves. What. A. Catastrophe.

Help Out Fella!

The day dawned brightly, with a slight mist and the sun picking up frost on the grass and fallen leaves. Yes, the climate had changed, but so uplifting. Better, to my mind, than living in the DFW metrosprawl where things seem less open and clean. That's the country for you, and more power to it.

Then, as I contemplated the pastoral idyll that is the Compound's backyard, the phone buzzed, "LSP, we need your help!" Huh, better get moving, and in a few minutes I was at the food bank, ready and waiting to do my bit to help suffering humanity.

It was chaos, of course, because a truck had come in with a massive amount of food and everyone was scrambling to store it away. In case you're interested, I ended up stacking pallets of canned corn onto an overflow trailer, which is a fine thing to do in the endeavor to fulfil the Gospel admonition, "I was hungry and you fed me."

Speaking of which, the local foodbank's curiously undersubscribed. Shouldn't people be starving and desperate for their next meal in this horrendous plague year? You know, not able to get food because of the death that stalketh in the noon day? And lining up around the block for relief? Apparently not. Make of that what you will. Regardless, it was good to help out.

A trip to Walmart and a magazine gone to press later, it was time to drive to the lake and say Mass. Always a privilege, and a new family turned up with their five children, such a blessing.

We celebrated afterwards with wine and cheese in the church hall, as the kids played in the nursery/playroom. Great result. And that, punters, is the story of that.

I file this exciting story under God, Church and Country Life in Texas. And guns, obvs.

God bless,

A Sunday Sermon

Shadow LSP

Conversation in the sacristy before Mass #2 went like this:

"Have you seen the video of the Portland execution last night?"
"What?"
"Another shooting?"
"Yes, dude rolled up on a skateboard and shot a Trump supporter who was crossing the road."

"Whoa."
"Yes, they cheered afterwards."
"Keep this going on and there's gonna be pushback, serious pushback."

A beautiful unicorn

Said the former artillery officer. "Let's think happy thoughts before church," replied the MC who's also a retired rodeo star, bronc. Not being slow to listen to the laity I replied, "As in unicorns, rainbows and bunnies?" The MC, who gives as good as he gets, wasn't slow either, "Just say your prayers, LSP."

A typical defense rifle

Here endeth the Lesson and while we're at it, "Get thee behind me Satan!" Vade retro Satana!

Be brave and rebuke the unclean spirit, a murderer from the beginning and Father of Lies. Say no to the world, the flesh and Devil, say yes to the Way of the Cross, of sacrificial love which is the way of light and life.

International Dog Day - Kenosha Boogaloo

It's National Dog Day, so here's Blue Boogaloo doing his thing.

Prowling

Begging

Enjoying his Dog Day scoff

Protecting the Mess

And being, well, a dog. He's been a good companion over the years since he took up residence on the porch in a bid for rescue. Speaking of which, why would anyone abandon their dog, much less a well disposed, affectionate, loyal Blue Heeler? Beats me.

In other news, Kenosha went roof last night as people decided to protect their businesses from Anarcho-Marxist cosplay revolutionaries. Of course the cosplay verdict swings both ways, though I'm in sympathy with the boy who shot the commie role players.

Dam straight, rampage through town chimping out, burning, looting, setting up AK roadblocks like you're living the Durutti Column dream and guess what, people are gonna shoot back, go roof. I would, if I was rushed by some faked up "paramedic" with a Glock.

To put it another way, it's all a larp till you wake up and your buddy's bicep's blown off, and you're facing murder charges. Tragedy all 'round, in my opinion.

And that's just it. To set the record straight, as if anyone cares what I think -- the real blame here, in Kenosha, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Atlanta and on is with the people who let and encouraged the violence. That wouldn't be the police, it would be Democrat Mayors and Governors looking for votes, and it'd be the corporate sponsored Marxists who whipped it up.

Blood is on your hands. You evil demons. And be warned, do not push this any further. A lot of people aren't happy right about now, and guess what, we know how to shoot. Don't push it.

Your Pal,

Random Guns

One of the many themes of this widely read international mind blog is God. That in mind, I was going to post a photo of an evil cryptid caught in a game cam followed by allusion to the current antics of the Anglican Non-Communion. But no, here's some random black gun pics instead.

The 5.56 carbine started off life as a CMMG LE something or other and's gone through several upgrades. It's a handy little heater, light, reliable, plenty of red dot accuracy (Ballistic Advantage barrel, Hypertouch Enhanced Duty trigger), and just a lot of fun to shoot.

My old Mossberg Ultimag 12's seen plenty action too and it's been a workhorse since I bought it a decade ago, second hand at a gunshow for 200 bucks. Birds, rabbits, clay/skeet and various varminting, armed walkabouts. Well done, gun. Probably time for an upgrade though, as its ejection's getting a bit unreliable, despite replacing the ejectors, polishing the chamber etc.

And what's wrong with an Aero Precision 7.62 AR? Nothing at all, though they're heavy and who wants an exercise in weight lifting when you've got other things to think about?

Still, it shoots like a champ with the easy recoil of a 20 gauge; zeroed at 200 yards for 165 grain ammo. I've only shot targets with the thing but my eldest boy's taken down a few hogs with it. Take that, tuskers. But what gun post's complete without a pistol?

Here's one, a kitchen drawer Glock 21 which stands ready and waiting put down tried and true .45 ACP if the occasion demands, or if it doesn't. I've had 1000s of rounds of gratuitous enjoyment putting this piece of Austrian engineering through it's paces against paper, steel, kettles, scrap iron, rocks, concrete, melons, stuffed toys and whatever else. Are Glocks the best of their kind? I don't know, I'm no expert, but I do like mine.

Remember this, a free citizen is able to defend himself, a slave isn't.

Defund The Police!

What Traffic Fascists

Yeah, right on, stick it to the Man! Because when there's no more police there'll be no more violence and we'll all be free! What utter, shameless, brazen drivel.

Behold The Drivel

No matter, LA, Minneapolis, et al are pushing hard for US cities to abolish the police. Coz then there'll be no moar injustice, just a beautiful Anarcho-Syndicalist revolution where, at last, persons of color can roam and loot freely. But what happens when there aren't any police, some kind of boogaloo?

Note Tactical Deck Shoes

Maybe so, people defend themselves, they "go roof," and who can blame them. The Left might want to think about that. Message to market -- we outgun you, at every level, cubed.

Playing The Most Dangerous Game Know To Mankind

Firepower aside aside, Satanists have taken to the streets demanding justice for the thug who beat a pregnant woman with his pistol and then robbed her.

George Floyd, the saint, served a mere 5 years for this crime. And think, with no police he'd have served even less. Satanists rejoice, until you wake up and a demon's gnawing on your elbow.

Speaking of which, MPD, LAPD, NYPD and on, walk off the job and let the Democrats howl, they obviously don't want you. Go on, we dare you.

Gonna Go Roof?

As ACNA clergy wailed and wept over their racism and the Episcopal bishop figure of Washington DC raged about the President holding a Bible, I drove to Dallas to check on Ma LSP.

You may have heard that things have been a little unsettled in the metrosprawl lately, and while I wasn't expecting trouble it doesn't hurt to be prepared. That in mind, I called up the White Wolf Mine for tactical advice.

"Mr. Wolf?"
"Yes."
"This is LSP, calling from Dallas HQ. I know you're above the fray but what's the score?"
"Simple, you need to become an honorary Korean, an honorary Rooftop Korean."

We talked this over, what would it take, a special ceremony on the roof? Picture the scene. A brazier,  Korean BBQ, maybe some kimchi, but that comes after you've been sworn in and awarded a Seoul bandana. Then you're ready to go.

What you don't do is sally forth with a sword and fail to take out the invaders. "Hell, I'd have chopped them to pieces," said the Wolf, "Maybe I'd have used a pole axe or just a kukri, a kukri'd probably do it." I agreed and silently kicked myself for leaving the kukri back at the Compound.

Cold steel aside and a delicious dinner of grilled lamb chops later, all seemed peaceful enough, thank God. Then, round about 11.30 pm, the sound of choppers overhead grew to constant and sure enough, reports started coming in of a large crew of mutineers coming over the Margaret Hunt Bridge into South Dallas. Not too far away.

They found themselves boxed in and arrested by LE and the Guard who showed remarkable restraint; not one insurrectionist was thrown off the bridge into the Trinity. And that was that, no need to go roof. Let's see how tonight pans out.

In the meanwhile, weapons hot.

I'm Bored Of Race War

Race war this, race war that, loot a Dollar Tree here, burn a cop van there, board up your shops, stick it to the Man!

But the Man has racial quotas in place, which sounds racist to me but whatever; no one in America is barred from any job on account of their race or the color of their skin. Not a single POC is refused entry into any profession on account of their color. In fact, in downtown government Dallas etc they're given preferential treatment.

So why the outrage over "racism"? Because Anarcho-Marxists are stuck in the old left/right paradigm they were taught by their parents and university professors. Stuck in 1982 and before. They see the world in terms of the defining moment of their forebears, Selma riots, Civil Rights and a grand march to desegregation. They want want to relive the 1960s and capture the glory and excitement of their ancestors.

But they can't. It's not the same world. No one has to sit at the back of the bus because they're black. In fact, no one sits on the bus because of the behavior of the blacks, or goes to their schools, or lives in their neighborhoods if they can help it.

And you know what? I don't blame anyone, of any color, for not living in the urban hellholes the left and its demonic friend LBJ created. Meanwhile, Minneapolis burns and here at the Compound we're pretty much past caring. As ye reap, so shall ye sow.

That in mind, weapons cleaning makes sense. And yes, I'm bored of this astroturf race war but good luck, jogga, if you climb on up the porch.

Ready To Rumble

The phone rang. "Hello?" Short silence, then, "We're marching on the state capital, had enough of this BS. Sonofabitch, time to break the law."

Hey, right on, but I urged caution, to be honest. As in, "Sure, maybe this thing's being leveraged by the Party of Satan to bring down 45 but still, don't get sick, right?" That aside, militias might want to think twice about even thinking of going up against the Guard.

The Monkey, and I tell you, he's a fearsome beast, ain't layin' odds on the outcome, what? So gentlemen, fight smart. Maybe wait 'til the Guard is you. Maybe that way win the firefight if it gets that far which it better not. Just a thought and Devil take the hindmost.

Loading mags and cleaning weapons,

Wake Of The Flood

Everyone's asking, did this pastoral Texan haven survive last night's sound and fury, did it survive the flood? Yes, by the grace of God it did.

You could see the after effects of the storm this morning. Pecans and the broken debris of modern life lying in the gutter where they'd been swept by the floods. Want a weave or a styrofoam Whattaburger cup? Take your pick, there's plenty.

Regardless, POCs were scavenging the detritus as I walked Blue Eschaton to the Pick'n Steal. Good for them, big money in pecans. And that was that, we survived yet another raid by our Old Enemy, the Weather on the brave Republic of Texas.

I know, you're cautioning against false complacency. A battle won is not the same as a war won and that, all of you ten readers, is why we're prepared.

Come and take it,

Shoot!

Sexless drones of the New World Order aren't able to defend themselves, but it's different for free citizens. That in mind, I loaded up a couple of guns in the rig and drove out to Karen's for bean and brisket burritos, so tasty, and then the range.

It felt good to get out in the country for a shoot, just you and the guns under a big Texan sky, complete with hawks and vultures swooping and gliding in search of prey. To say nothing of a green silhouette, a Glock, a Ruger and an AR.

We opened up with the pistol, .45 ACP smashing into paper with more or less accuracy, and then some brisk action with .556. Well done, gas gun, annoying to clean, fun to shoot. And I like this rifle; Bison barrel, Hipertouch trigger, Fortis handguard (light and easy), Primary Arms red dot and Magpul here and there. What a neat little heater. The .22, Brits would say "tutu", was fun too, well done, Ruger.

And that was that, a great afternoon at the range and a good time had by all. It'd been far too long since I was able to get out in the field so it was good to be back. Thanks, modern medicine and firearms tech.

In other news, the Recruit passed all his tests and grads from Basic at Fort Benning on Thursday. He tells me he enjoyed chucking grenades about. Boom. On the way to Georgia now.

I dedicate this short if heartfelt post to RRH who shot well for the first time ever, and Branston, who passed from darkness to light. No small achievement in either instance. As always, gun rights.

Dog Days

It's ferociously hot and Blue Monarchist leads the way, Edgehill's another day. But what about Naseby and Marston Moor I ask him, incredulously.

By way of answer he sits with loyal expectancy and asks for a treat, as though that, somehow, will stop the New Model Army and advance the last gasp of chivalry. Fond imagining, but he gets one anyway.

Quarter Master over, we went out back with a good view to capturing Banbury, Reading, Oxford, and Bristol. Quite the campaign and devil take the hindmost. Charge and scatter the enemy to the winds!

Needless, Blue No Bishop No King got stuck into the Anabaptist provisions and ate my sister's dog's toy. Typical cavalier ill-discipline, raid the enemy's baggage train in the exuberance of the after-charge. And lose the war. Good work, furhead.

Chagrined, Blue Divine Right Of Kings went prowling in search of Trained Bands to destroy and defeat. Perhaps they were hiding in the cover, in a psalm-singing fit of millenarian expectancy. Good luck with that, Blue Old Service is prowling, seeking whom he may devour.

Not least the advance scouts of the enemy, Chimney Swifts. They're protected by Law, no thanks to Edwardus Coke, and doubly by a sheet of cardboard. Undaunted by pettifogging legal skulduggery, Blue Loyalist stands guard.

As did I, when I could stand. But seriously, as a loyal Son of the Crown and an irregular cavalryman to boot, let's see a bit more Divine Right of Kings and less Satanic Rule of the New World Order.

Vivat,

LSP
