Sunday Mass

You pull up to Mission #2, not far at all from Belle Starr's onetime ranch/hideout, and what do you see? Nothing fancy, just a couple of lines of pick ups, a horse trailer and a lowish church built in the 1980s in an act of faith on the part of people who retired from the Metrosprawl to live by the lake. They're mostly gone now, bless 'em. But what do you find inside?

The few readers of this unassuming mind-blog would be shocked. No guitar playing nuns, no wymxn priestesses, no rainbow flags, no felt applique banners, not even any liturgical dance. What you do get is an oriented sung Mass, Rite I (think Ordinariate style, all you RC trads), with traditional hymns. And here's the thing, the singing was led by a couple of ex-Baptist women.

I tell you, it was good, and I don't say that lightly. Imagine, if you can, Amazing Grace at the Offertory on a Loretta Lynn tip. Here's Miss Lynn:

High on a mountain top? You bet. In related news, I called our Senior Warden after Mass, "Hey, J, I haven't ridden for four years and feel it's time to get back on. Can you recommend someone to give me remedial lessons? You know, leads, asking for gaits the right way and all of that." She thought about it for a second or two, "Sure! Come out this week and ride with us, we'll find you a horse."

Now, pundits, mark me well. This is equivalent to, say, a pub guitarist calling up Jimmy Page and saying, "Hey man, is it OK if I jam with you and Eric Clapton?" You know, to get better on the guitar, and he replies, "You bet, swing by the studio sometime this week, Roy Harper's gonna be there too. He needs help."

J in the Zone and then some

Wow, what good people we have in this little country church, where the Word of God is preached and taught and the Sacraments confected. There's hope and no inconsiderable uplift in that and I feel privileged to serve here. Stay tuned for equestrian adventure.

Remove Racist Rock!

A Typical Racist Rock

A massively racist 42 ton rock has been moved from the University of Wisconsin Madison's Chamberlin Hill, where it used to sit, oppressing persyns of color with its racism. According to students, the weighty pre-Cambrian glacial erratic would often hurl racist abuse.

"It was really offensive," stated one student, "Like, 'Look at me, I'm a rock. Who's smarter, me or you? Who's in debt for life on account of a pathetic trans theater degree, me or you?' Sometimes the rock would play Dukes of Hazard and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Once I heard it whistle Dixie. I didn't feel safe."

Unsafe

Here at the Compound we're glad the racist rock's been removed. One more monument to oppression gone, and not before time. Juliana Bennett, a senior and a campus representative on the Madison City Council shows zhir relief:

“This moment is about the students, past and present, that relentlessly advocated for the removal of this racist monument. Now is a moment for all of us BIPOC students to breathe a sigh of relief, to be proud of our endurance, and to begin healing.”

Hmmmm. Same Old Hippie

Well said, Julia. Now that the crushingly racist rock's removed we can all begin to heal, and breathe.

Just Grilling And Cleaning Guns

Hybrid

After a hard day's editing the genius of North American Christendom, whaddya do? Simple. Fire up the grill, clean some guns.

And congratulate Kayleigh on her top-level lyin' media smackdown this afternoon. Good work, Press Secretary. While we're at it, let's give it up for Texas' Lieutenant Governor who promptly stepped up to the plate for a hairdresser who was jailed and fined because she wouldn't say sorry to an Obama judge. Her crime?

Opening up her salon to feed family and workers. 7 days in jail and a 7k fine to boot for that egregious offense. Thanks, LG, for covering the fine and offering to do the time on Shelley's behalf. Well done, too, everyone who's contributed over 100k to her cause.

Speaking of "lockdowns," have you noticed Pandemic Boffin Nial Ferguson, scientific architect of the UK's quarantine order, was caught sneaking out of shutdown to tryst with his married leftist mistress?

Look, a Cross. Imagine That Under a Killery Admin. You Can't? Quite.

I don't judge but it's odd, isn't it, how there's one law for our elite and another for everyone else. Like the lesbian Mayor of Chicago, who, against all evidence, went to a hairdresser despite ordering everyone else not to, with the threat of gaol.

Church of England Seekers Flock to Hill in Thailand

It may sound like science fiction but UFO seekers are flocking to a hill in northwest Thailand in the hope of spotting the venerable if illusive Church of England. They say it's the same old rock and a journey.

"We use a crocodile-infested lake as a portal from their planets, " said one user, "Pluto and Loku. And while it may sound like science fiction, messages from aliens arriving in spaceships include plenty of off-beat if culturally normative religious teachings too -- yes, I believe they are actually from the Church of England."

"It's all happening three hours by road or rail north from Bangkok in Nakhon Sawan, there it is, the Church of England," opined another church-watcher, "which translates to 'Not The City of Heaven.'" Others aren't too sure.

"Without all the UFO hype, it's just a laid-back small town, risible joke," said a local expert, "But followers believe that if you meditate on Khao Kala hill, outside of Nakhon Sawan, you'll hear the talkative silver bishops as voices in your head, speaking whatever language your thoughts usually chatter. Ignore them."

Ignore them? As you were.

The Same Old Rock

Backyard Mexicans are playing New Country, peacocks shriek and Blue Fowler's after a chicken that's hiding under the back deck. You can't blame the bird for trying to escape the music, fortunately the dog's not lithe enough to get at the feathered asylum seeker.

Speaking of which, the wall's still not built and a few hundred thousand illegals cross the border every month, overwhelming towns like Uvalde. Democrats don't seem to mind, they see votes, while others wonder if the refugee asylum seekers should be bused to sanctuary cities. If you want it, pay for it, sort of thing.

Who knows, maybe Trump's threat of tariffs will scare Mexico into securing its border, we can but hope and wonder. Meanwhile, our Big Tech Commie Overlords are busy censoring everyone into oblivion.

But surely the toothpaste's outta the youtube and all the sadly deplatformed unpersons will move to other media. Then Whatsapp can try and sue them for hate speech like trannies going after a baker. Good luck with that.

On the religious front, Rome's produced a document affirming biological gender. This, according to the Vatican, is a God-given fact of biology. Men are, well, men, and women are women, as opposed to being gender fluid sexless drones of the NWO hivemind. And of course the venerable if shrinking Diocese of Durham and ACoC disagree, they're busy celebrating the rainbow.

Unlike the Anglican provinces of Uganda, Kenya and Nigeria who obstinately refuse to bow to Illuminati cash and attend the godless Lambeth Conference next year. Who knows, they're doubtless scared of being gored by the vicious horns of Canterbury unicorns, to say nothing of the thudding varicolored hooves of the ACC.

In related news, a Church of England Vicar had to resign from a school board for objecting to trans sex-ed by, ahem, "Mermaids," and a couple of Brazilian lesbians killed their son because he was a boy. They tried to transsexualize the unfortunate 9 year old first, and you can read the whole disturbing thing here.

Perhaps you think that somehow wrong because you're shackled to oppressive, patriarchal, fascist ethical theory. Not to worry, you can pinpoint the problem and work on a solution with this useful Intersectionality Score Calculator. Check it out. I scored a rather respectable 8. You have a go!

Over the rainbow,
