Supermodel Apocalypse

I keep getting bombarded from Paris with photos of supermodels, and I had to reply. "Look, I've got a theory and that's all it is, just a theory," went the text from Texas to the Champs Elysee, "Sure, Supermodels are human, we get that, but they're from a different world. They're Off-World." Silence from his arrondissement, so I continued, encouraged.

Look, There's Lots of Them, Zoom in

"These beings are clearly different, they are other, see Soo Joo. So let us suppose their origin lies in a planet with lesser gravity, hence their height. Let us further suppose their planet, rich in gold, orbits several suns and is close to the Galactic Center. They are attracted to bright lights.

Oh My!

"Let us then suggest that the WYMXN were sent here generations ago, and their descendants are unaware of their origin. But yes, they suffer from Interstellar Displacement Effect (IDE). The symptoms are clear. Low self-esteem, hysteria, a constant need for reassurance, 'Yes, you are beautiful...' and on. I take silence to mean 'yes.'"

Soo Joo

Though silence is golden, my friend replied, "You may well be onto something." A moment of reflection. "Are they victims of an as yet unknown aggressor, perhaps genetically traumatized, hence various... disorders. But look, this is only a theory, and with it the question turns. Will the AGGRESSORS follow the WYMXN to earth?

Off-World

"Man, you're on the front lines of the Eschaton. I salute your courage." And I do, the Apocalypse shall fall like a thief in the night, at an hour, place and time we least suspect.

And as always,

Good News And Bad News

So what's it to be first, the good news or the bad news? Let's go with the good because this simple mind blog's all about boosting morale in these troubled and uncertain times. And the good news is this, there'll be two baptisms in Mission #2 tomorrow, which is a holy and blessed thing.

It also confirms upward momentum in that rural outpost of God's kingdom, PTL. And don't worry, the goodness keeps flowing; the Specialist, my eldest, is "feeling better." Now for the bad news.

After getting the J&J vax, one shot, cheapest on the market, the kid got really sick and had to go to hospital. He got a steroid shot, which helped, and we spoke, "Everything's OK now, Dad." I posted it, pleased. But last night I discovered it wasn't OK.

Thanks to Instagram, I learned he'd been in hospital every day this week and there was the photo to prove it. Serious sickbed stuff, no kidding and I'll spare you the photo. A series of texts later, it seems everything's OK again and no one's died. Thank God.

And so we end on a good note, endeavoring to think positive, train hard and fight easy. But I tell you, the crooks, malfeasants, psychosociopaths, scam artists and virtue-signaling mountebanks have got a lot to answer for. Will we ever know the full-scale perfidy that's been played on our nation and the world at large? I doubt it.

In the meanwhile, say a prayer that John makes a full recovery.

God bless,

Ascension

Look, cryptically named 'LSP,' you can't hit people with an evil gang music sonic attack on the Feast of the Ascension, even if it does make for an interesting musical parable of civil war and associated wickedness.

Thus spoke the voice of reason over morning coffee on the back porch and I hit delete, such is the miracle of technology. Then the kid called in from Camp Humphreys in Korea, where he's getting ready to leave for Fort Hood in a month or so.

Part of the "out processing" involved a J&J Covid shot on Sunday, which caused such an allergic reaction that he ended up in hospital. He's recovered, thank God, and it's more than tempting to go on a rant about the evil chicanery that's overtaken us in the name of health and safety. But I won't, here's a prayer for the day instead:

GRANT, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that like as we do believe thy only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to have ascended into the heavens; so we may also in heart and mind thither ascend, and with him continually dwell, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

God bless,

PFC Update

So what's going in the world of the PFC? The big news is that he's no longer a lowly PFC but a Specialist. Well done Kid, you ranked up ahead of schedule. LL put it well, "A new collar device and a payday," and then burst into poetry:

Every day in the Army is like a picnic.
Every meal a banquet,
Every paycheck a fortune.
Every formation a parade!

Onwards, Specialist, to Sergeant and to your next post, which is Fort Hood in August. He's pretty excited about his new Battalion because it travels, and I'm happy about the location. Ft. Hood's close by, too. Nice.

Good work, son,

Adeste Fidelis

Adeste Fidelis from the Front, and from KCC, which somehow still allows Christian music in its midst, bizarrely.

Hope you've all had the best of days. Here at Dallas HQ it was all about roast beef, Yorkshire Pudding and General Merriment.

Speaking of ranks, the PFC called in from Korea and was having fun, his team had a Christmas BBQ, involving ribs, and all was well.

God bless,

This And That

Please don't yawn but our diocesan convention was semi-virtual this year because of the Chinese scamdemic. This meant we met by regional deanery and conducted business via Zoom. Of course I'm in the Deep South Deanery and drove off to Waco and Christ Church.

Downtown Waco

Have you been to Waco? It always strikes me as a town that was bombed during the last Big One and never really rebuilt. Still, Christ Church is going strong and there's signs of life returning to a downtown gutted by asset strippers and associated malfeasants. Good.

CCW

There's also the amazingly awesome, incredible, faked up rubbish rip off worth every penny SILOS. You can buy a beautiful made in China tin mug at the Silos for around 10 bucks, which is value because the mug's got Magnolia written on it. Owning the beautiful mug not only makes Chip and Joanna even richer, but adds you to their marketing team, for free! Except that it's not free, you've paid $10 for the privilege.

Typical Waco Street Scene

Silos aside, the Zoom convention went well enough and it was fun to see some of the Deep South clergy and laity; a faithful crew. As I was pondering this blessing, and working up sermon notes while a Nigerian bishop bellowed over the Zoom link, the PFC called in.

Somewhere in Korea

He's on a mission somewhere in Korea and having fun protecting the border against the commies. Well done, kid, a happy soldier's a happy father.

In related news, somewhere around a million people descended on DC to march for 45, freedom, and the integrity of our election in the face of a perceived, I'd argue actual, billionaire funded leftist coup. They didn't loot, burn or attack anyone. They were attacked by hate filled leftist revolutionaries.

MAGA2020

Curious, isn't it, that all the violence is coming from the left. Shouldn't it be the other way around, given that Trump's literally Hitler and his supporters Nazis? But that's not the case. Patriot doesn't = National Socialist. Does Democrat = Bolshevik? Not necessarily, but the Donkey's strangely silent in the face of the violence and hatred it's encouraged for at least four years.

As we reflect on this disturbing trend and forecast even more disturbing outcomes, remember that evil has a strange way of overplaying its bestial hand.

Your Old Pal,

The Second Homily - 8 Mile

The Second Homily - Paras doing their thing in Helmand with some help by famed Detroit rocker Eminem. 8 Mile? Probably about the same kill rate, disturbingly.

Speaking of which, the Young Warrior's doing well in Korea and's just come off a field exercise, which included a shoot. He retained Expert Marksman. Well done, boy. Now get that degree and a commission, or not, your call.

Regardless, sorry, Paras, move over for the Glorious Gloucesters which, ahem, no longer exist. I'm not very happy about that, obviously, despite having command of a vastly successful and prestigious irregular cavalry unit. You want to argue? See the RHSM.

Think positive, raise the Black Flag and ride hard.

This And That

A cool breeze is blowing in from the north, and gentle rain turned gold by the evening sun falls on parched grass, hot concrete and spent brass. The smell of rain in a Texan August. Beautiful and rare.

Poetry aside, my eldest boy called this morning to say he'd been promoted to Specialist ahead of schedule. Well done, kid, keep it up. He's currently attached to the 2nd Armored Division and "on mission," which means he has to sit in a comms truck on weekends instead of enjoying Korean nightlife. His Platoon Sergeant's clearly wise.

In other news, Blue Eschaton's slowing down a bit and takes life philosophically, unless steaks or fried pies are on the table. Then everything's different.

Mind how you go,

LSP
