Semi keen-eyed readers will have noticed the appallingly millionaire socialist Atlantic crying out for pandemic forgiveness. "Let's Declare an Amnesty," writes prof Emily Oster, suggesting we all just forgive and forget COVID crimes:

"Let’s acknowledge that we made complicated choices in the face of deep uncertainty, and then try to work together to build back and move forward."

But some aren't convinced, perhaps they remember the Atlantic's owner sailing down the Riviera on her mega yacht even as her magazine was pushing for the strictest lockdowns. Don't say ultra-rich leftist hypocrite. Here's Zerohedge on the response, a snapshot:

As QTR's Fringe Finance notes, Oster’s plea for the decency that her ilk failed to offer up to most Americans during the throws of the pandemic comes at a point where the Covid narrative has been all but lost by the Democrats and the mainstream media.

• Fines for the unvaccinated: Fifty-eight percent (58%) of voters would oppose a proposal for federal or state governments to fine Americans who choose not to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

• House arrest: Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Democratic voters would favor a government policy requiring that citizens remain confined to their homes at all times, except for emergencies, if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

• Imprisonment for questioning the vaccine: Nearly half (48%) of Democratic voters think federal and state governments should be able to fine or imprison individuals who publicly question the efficacy of the existing COVID-19 vaccines on social media, television, radio, or in online or digital publications.

• Forced quarantine: Forty-five percent (45%) of Democrats would favor governments requiring citizens to temporarily live in designated facilities or locations if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

• Stripping people of their children: Twenty-nine percent (29%) of Democratic voters would support temporarily removing parents’ custody of their children if parents refuse to take the COVID-19 vaccine. That’s much more than twice the level of support in the rest of the electorate – seven percent (7%) of Republicans and 11% of unaffiliated voters – for such a policy.

Forgiveness is a virtue. Does it mean that murdering, hypocrite, psychotically rich people and their bought and paid for satraps shouldn't be held accountable for their crimes? All in light of faux repentance? 

BTW, I haven't seen my youngest boy in three years, thanks to this totalitarian, State Stasi insanity and the sockist fool in Ottawa. Whatever, personal concerns aside.

THIS IS UTTERLY INSANE

 

We're in the midst of a killer pandemic of historic proportions, so our beneficent elite overlords have to take drastic measures to keep us safe. Which is why they're firing nurses and staff at hospitals, you can read all about it at Old NFO.

Think about that, if only for a moment because the math isn't hard, and then run the other side of the equation. Congress and its staff, the Postal Service and illegal immigrants are exempt from the vax. 

They don't have to get it to function as Federal employees or enter the country, unlike everyone else, say, soldiers. Add this all together, to say nothing of minor fractions like Pharma's liability waiver, and eureka, the equation's solved. What an utter clownshow.

We've been and are being fed a pack of lies to make a gang of mendacious crooks, mountebanks and grifters get even richer than they already were. The cost to you, the serf? Loss of liberty, life and the pursuit of happiness, as in "don't you even think of taking your kids to an ice rink in Ontario without your vax papers, criminal."

Or worshiping God or going to a restaurant or flying a fighter jet or leaving the country or, if DiFi gets her way, leaving your state. You get the drift and I'll cut to the chase.

This whole thing is totally, bizarrely insane. Why, in the name of science, are we firing healthcare workers in a pandemic? Perhaps because there isn't one, only an evil shell game ponzi riding high on a sea of lies fostered by the criminals' infernal father, Satan.

I'm so mad at this irrational stupidity I could spit nails.  Fired off a note to my parish with solid facts of why this was not needed, and got back a note that said " Out of love and respect for all our fellow human beings and following the guidance of the CDC, the Clark County Health Dept, and the Archdiocese of Seattle"

BBC reporter Lisa Shaw died after taking the miracle cure Covid shot, she was 44. My eldest son, 21 years old, was only in ICU for a week after taking the J&J shot. Good thing only one of them died.

What's your favorite thing about the way we live now, apart from adorable Shibas? Maybe you love waiting in line for gas and paying moar for food. Then again, perhaps you're excited about Wooden Top, John Kerry, being back on the national stage. 

Others love our open southern border, war in the Middle East, mandatory mask wearing and DC being turned into an armed camp to protect our beloved leaders. Who, you know, are so popular they need razor wire protection. That's why they got so many votes.

The list goes on, but seriously, are we in the grip of some kind of collective psychosis? A weird insanity where having a border makes you Fascist, believing in biological gender makes you a bigot, where wearing a mask, from a box which specifically tells you that the products therein don't protect you from viruses, protects you from viruses.

Apparently we are, to say nothing of our churches shutting down unlike, say, Costco, because worshiping God isn't "essential." And that's just it. The Church, writ large, should have acted as a beacon of light and truth over the last year, guiding and facilitating the most essential thing there is, the worship of God. But no.

With notable exceptions, such as the Polish pastor in Calgary who was arrested the other day for holding services, the Church has been silent or complicit in what amounts to a corporate sponsored Cultural Marxist putsch. Go figure, it's been evident for decades that our heirarchs either support this or are too scared to speak out clearly against the current ideological and emotional ascendancy. 

Let's see what comes out of the other end of the meat grinder. My prediction, for what it's worth. A lot less lib churches, they shut themselves down and they'll stay shut, and those who actually believe, across the denoms, will stay standing and grow.

Ascension

 

Look, cryptically named 'LSP,' you can't hit people with an evil gang music sonic attack on the Feast of the Ascension, even if it does make for an interesting musical parable of civil war and associated wickedness. 

Thus spoke the voice of reason over morning coffee on the back porch and I hit delete, such is the miracle of technology. Then the kid called in from Camp Humphreys in Korea, where he's getting ready to leave for Fort Hood in a month or so.

Part of the "out processing" involved a J&J Covid shot on Sunday, which caused such an allergic reaction that he ended up in hospital. He's recovered, thank God, and it's more than tempting to go on a rant about the evil chicanery that's overtaken us in the name of health and safety. But I won't, here's a prayer for the day instead:

GRANT, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that like as we do believe thy only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to have ascended into the heavens; so we may also in heart and mind thither ascend, and with him continually dwell, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

Black Friday

Why is it called "Black Friday"?  I don't know, perhaps because everyone goes out and buys lots of  made in China black plastic.

Speaking of which, who'd have an interest in a viral scare which closes small businesses but somehow keeps big, giant, mega stores open. Don't say Walmart, Amazon and Big Box Inc., after all, it's not as though they have some weird kind of financial influence over anything.

That in mind, I boycotted our Corporate Communist Overlords today and went to a small shop for a bottle of wine. I like the guys that run it and the wine they sell, a far better selection than anything you'd get at, say, the nearest Tom Thumb.

In other news, the Left is furious that SCOTUS overturned Cuomo's new edict restricting attendance at religious services. Freedom of worship isn't freedom, according to the ACLU. Cuomo, who hasn't told giant supermarket chains to limit the number of their customers, has told the world that SCOTUS' ruling has no "practical effect." And that's just it.

Imagine, if you can, an America in which the results of a massively fraudulent election were brought before the Supreme Court, which overturned the election after evidence of industrial scale vote rigging. At which point the guilty parties follow Cuomo's lead and say, so what. What happens then?

I'm not a gambling man, but I'll wager the ageing but still vicious monkey that things might get... messy.

Thanks to MP, I know this new coin honors Samoa, or would that be somewhere else, somewhere with wet markets, biolabs and bats? 

Good CCP question, eh? But seriously, will someone please follow the Bat Bug/Mask money and see who's coining it inside the Beltway and elsewhere? Not least regards these stupid bat flu masks, which we all have to wear because, errr, if you don't wear one someone won't get even richer than they already are.
