Eleven Trends For The New Year

Here's a retrospective on 2022 and eleven trends we can look forward to in 2023, via Virtual Mirage:

As we close out 2022, I thought it would be a good idea to identify and discuss 11 trends and hard truths for the sake of saying things out loud that the media should be reporting on fairly and investigating but too often is not. These are big-picture items that stand to impact many, if not most of us, in a big way.

1. Illegal immigration. Each day that passes is another day that makes it impossible to go back, even if the border were to be secured immediately. We will be dealing forever with the fallout of unrestricted, illegal border crossings in terms of expense, crime, impact on our schools, and an already stressed healthcare system.

2. Covid. There is ongoing fallout from controversial vaccine mandates. Congress has rescinded the military mandates but not before tens of thousands or more received the vaccine under duress, and many thousands were forced out. We already had a recruiting crisis and it’s only grown worse. A judge has ordered New York City to hire back more than 1,700 workers fired for refusing the vaccine. What’s the state’s response? It is appealing. We are also dealing with the costs and health impact of those who got vaccinated and are suffering illnesses. Some of them are permanently disabled. Some have died. There is an ongoing cost to our youth, who do not tend to get very sick with Covid but who are at risk of serious illness from the vaccine.

3. College costs. With discussion and debate focused on loan forgiveness–  or more accurately transferring the cost of outstanding loans to taxpayers– it does nothing to cure the overinflated and unjustifiable cost of a college education. The same syndrome is in play with health care costs. The fact that the government ensures these bills will get paid using taxpayer money and loans, grants, scholarships, Medicare, etc., only ensures the corporations can charge outrageous amounts of money for the services. If it weren’t for government and private medical insurance, and loans and grants, then few could afford the overinflated medical and education costs and the prices would, by necessity, have to come down. The government is the cause of these problems and could solve them, but will not because elected officials are part of the system that benefits. They get donations from industries, academic institutions, hospitals, the insurance industry, pharmaceutical companies, and others to help them stay in office and positions of power. Thus, their solutions by necessity will continue to feather their nests always at our expense.

4. January 6, 2021. (I’ll be reporting on this topic in an upcoming edition of Full Measure.) This event stands out as one of the most outrageous events of our time in terms of how it’s prosecuted by government officials. There are clearly political motivations and double standards in play, with what seems to be an obvious plan in advance to controversialize anyone who turned out to support Donald Trump and question the 2020 election. The apparent goal? To neutralize these people and anyone else who dared to think of questioning elections or supporting Trump.

5. Transgenderism in medicine, media, politics, education, advertising— you name it. Virtually unheard of just a few years back except as part of a mental health discussion largely limited to a psychiatric diagnosis — suddenly it’s everywhere! Like other narratives, there are organized, well-funded efforts behind the transgender lobby and, as I’ve written in my books, these powerful forces have been able to co-opt nearly every form of information in order to make fringe beliefs appear to be the norm shared by nearly everyone.

6. Health crises. From rampant chronic health issues, to autism, autoimmune disorders, and new diseases such as POTS, the government is typically only funding research on issues that the pharmaceutical industry wants to be funded and is only finding answers that the industry and special interests want to be found. Since it’s not in any big industry’s interest to identify the multi-exposure causes likely behind many health issues, these studies won’t be funded. I would argue that much if not most legitimate research that needs to be done to answer important health questions is being blocked or not funded.

7. Government control. The government is so tied into funding everyone and everything today, including private companies through contracts and incentives, it can control policies and actions far outside what is supposed to be in the government’s reach. Covid vaccines were one such example. By threatening to push private hospitals by withholding Medicare payments, the government was able to force policies upon them. By refusing to reimburse for certain medical treatments, the government can make sure certain treatments– even if important and effective– aren’t used. This government power is especially dangerous when the government takes part in corrupt or politically-motivated agendas.

8. Scientific fraud. I’ve reported on and written much about how the scientific and medical industries have been largely taken over by vested interests making it hard to get accurate medical information. Some of the best evidence comes from top scientists at medical journals such as Lancet’s Dr. Richard Horton, and Dr. Marcia Angell, formerly of the New England Journal of Medicine. They have said that much or most science in medical journals is not be believed today due to the undue influence of the pharmaceutical industry on studies and what does or doesn’t get published.

9. FBI and intel agency corruption. One of the biggest scandals of our time that is drastically underreported is widespread corruption at high levels in our intel agencies, as exposed in their schemes to frame Donald Trump. Even when agents and officials commit lapses and crimes, they are rarely held to account in any meaningful way. Recall former FBI director James Comey was referred by the Inspector General for criminal charges in his efforts to damage Trump but the Dept. of Justice took a pass on prosecuting him. Only one FBI lawyer was (lightly) prosecuted in one of the most outrageous crimes of its kind: doctoring a document to obtain a wiretap on Trump campaign associate Carter page… who never got so much as an apology. And that FBI attorney didn’t even get jail time. And there seemed to be no effort to identify and prosecute the others that were in that chain, signing off on false information or staying silent about it.

10. FISA court scandals. One of the most powerful and secretive courts, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, has confirmed rampant FBI lapses or misconduct when it comes to applications for secret wiretaps to spy on US citizens. However, nobody has been held to account.

11. Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover. I rank this as the single most important development when it comes to censorship and the government/industry’s grip on our information. It is sad that it took a scorned billionaire– remember Musk was notably left out of Biden Administration invites on car and green energy discussions because he apparently doesn’t blindly support organized labor/labor unions– to do the job that the media, elected officials, and intel agencies all failed to do: expose censorship, corruption, and election interference within a top Big Tech company. Though one of the biggest stories of our time, it is still widely ignored or slanted by the news media, which is opting for stories about how bad it is for Musk to be running Twitter rather than the previous government-corporate minders.

I'd say that was right on the money,

And The Show Goes On!

Not content with revealing FBI/Intel agency skulduggery at Twitter and bashing the hated Fauci, Elon went on a tear last night and suspended a slew of Deep State bought and paid for propagandist shills journalists from the influential platform. Here's a few:

1.New York Times technology reporter Ryan Mac

2. Washington Post reporter Drew Harwell

3. Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann

4. Former Vox reporter Aaron Rupar

5. CNN reporter Donie O’Sullivan

6. Mashable’s Matt Binder

Oh dear, what a total tragedy. But why the suspension? For allegedly doxxing Elon and his family, though maybe too for obnoxious, condescending, deceitful, biased, pugnacious, hypocritical smuggery. Either way, leftist heads are exploding all over the universe and we have to ask, don't they like their own medicine?

This humble mind blog remains permanently banned from Twister. I regard that as a badge of honor.

To the Emperor,

Twister

Lo and behold, shock, gasp, horror! Turns out that Twitter worked hand in glove with the DNC to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, push the phony Russian collusion hoax, ban conservative voices and basically be an online agitprop arm of the Democrat party, not least in an election year.

Nothing we didn't know already but thanks, Elon, for taking out the dirty laundry and making leftist heads explode all over the planet. How dare he! Well it seems that he has and more power to him, expose all the corrupt mendacity you can.

In similar news, Brazilians and their military don't seem too keen on the latest election steal, the Chinese are revolting against their benevolent rulers and Dutch farmers aren't too happy about their farms being seized in the name of Green. Go figure.

Cheers,

Just Some Tunes

A rambunctious soldier's just strolled in on a weekend pass, and that's all good. We're watching patriotic tunes, and that's good too. As is the DOGE$ rally, wen Lambo?

Let That Sink In

Like him, love him, hate him, the world's richest man wins a prize for top level alpha trolling. Yes, Elon Musk strolled into Twitter's swanky hi-tech millionaire socialist HQ in San Franscisco carrying a sink. "Let that sink in," tweeted Musk in a typical bout of internet jollity as he prepared to take over the leftist social media giant.

But Elon wasn't kidding, let the firings begin. Per Zerohedge:

Just minutes after the world's richest man has reportedly closed the $44 billion deal, The NYTimes reports that, according to sources that declined to be identified, the Twitter executives who were fired include:

            Parag Agrawal, Twitter’s chief executive.

Ned Segal, the chief financial officer.

Vijaya Gadde, the top legal and policy executive,

            (censorship czar)

            Sean Edgett, the general counsel.

At least one of the executives who was fired was escorted out of Twitter’s office, they said.

Where will they go, these fired multi-millionaire tech socialists , Tik Tok, Meta, Linkedin, Pinterest? Who knows, maybe they'll just retire on their severance. According to Zero, Agrawal is set to receive  $38.7 million, Segal is set to receive $25.4 million and Vijaya Gadde will leave with $12.5 million. Nice payback, eh?

And what cost socialism. Some pigs, gentle readers, are more equal than others or to put it another way, "the bell tolls for the end of the first chapter of Twitter's life as a deep state narrative-enabling machine." Let's see how that works out.

In the meanwhile, well done Elon for running around Twister HQ with a sink, credit where credit's due. And please feed the DOGE$, everyone's favorite pup's been sleeping for far too long. Oh, and restore the banned LSP account, thx.

Cheers,

Typical Texas Street Scene

There was a cotton gin about a minute's walk from this well paved Texan street, right up into the '50s. Now it's gone because our asset-stripping, traitor overlords wanted moar money. But what happens when offshored industry supply chains become weaponized?

Don't say pay for your LNG in gold backed rubles, instead congratulate yourself on corporate utopian wokeness. Hey, you don't have a job, serf, but not to worry, Netflix has race quotas, perhaps you've seen it. There you are watching a late medieval historical drama and lo and behold, the Lord of the Manor's an African American. Far out, now we know.

The appalling Netflix has lost some $50 billion in revenue as of the other day, so maybe Elon's new Twitter can take up the slack? In the meanwhile leftist heads are exploding all over bi-coastal America, and pundits predict tectonic upheaval.

That's as maybe. But as we reflect on geology, since when did the Left become shills of Globo Big Corp? Since they went rainbow, obvs.

Musk Rocks Neil Young is an Idiot

You may think that Elon Musk, the world's richest man, is strange and weird but he's got Covid tyranny down. In the darkness bind them. Well said, Mr. Musk, and how willingly they're bound.

Unless you're a Canadian trucker and Elon, who loves the Peoples' Currency, DOGE$, is all in favor of the Convoy. Canadian truckers rule. But how to defeat Justine and associated rainbow safety tyrants?

Good call but do we still have that luxury ? In the meanwhile, Neil Young's an idiot.

NASA Picks Space X For Moon Shot

Elon Musk's Space Exploration Technologies Corp, Space X, have won NASA's contract for developing a spaceship to take mankind to the Moon, again.

Musk celebrated the deal by posting a photo of a Space X rocket on the Moon. Zoom in on the astronauts at the bottom of the image and look at their furry faces. Space Shibes?

Look Closely

The Peoples Currency is bizarrely hodling its own, I was ready for a plummet, at around .26 following a retracement from an all time high of over .40. Not bad, given this week's crypto exuberance and subsequent correction. But who knows how this Wild West Moonshot plays out. Stay tuned.

Tombstone DOGE$

What can we say, win some, lose some. That in mind, the Peoples Crypto's soaring into .06land. Well done, pup.

Will the playful Shiba hit MOON? Let's wait and see and remember, the market's a way of transferring money from the impatient to the patient.

TO THE MOON

If you sell your Dogecoin for useless dollars, how will you buy a moon house or moon food once we get to the moon? Checkmate, paper hands!

Elon Musk's thrown his hat in the ring for the Peoples Crypto, yes, everyone's favorite dog-faced currency. Perhaps that's why the price of $DOGE broke through the .04 barrier while I was saying Mass and surged into .05 territory.

Billboards in Times Square don't hurt either. #BuyDoge and don't even think of selling your infinite upside for the price of an infinite downside night out in Dallas.

Some people don't get that, they don't believe in the Peoples Crypto, so they sell. Some make money, like the PFC's Sergeant who bought at .002 and sold for a gain of 20k.

Well done that man, but think of what you've missed out on; life in Switzerland, the Moon and beyond. But what do I know, I'm just a lowly LSP who likes space rock and a dog-faced pony soldier of a coin.

At the time of writing, our wildly successful $DOGE position has dipped into .04 land, but I'm still holding. Diamonds are created under pressure.

The Doge

People are wondering if the US Dollar, the world's reserve currency, is worth all it's cracked up to be. It's backed up by the "full faith and credit" of the US government but what's that worth?

Maybe not so much. How much is your Dollar, which is nothing more than an IOU at interest to the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank really worth? Good question, which is why the dollar's short and savvy investors are flocking to Dogecoin. Yes, Dogecoin.

Dogecoin is a crypto currency with infinite upside, like any other fiat currency, but unlike the busted US dollar it's got a cute picture of a Shiba Inu dog on its face, as opposed to Harriet Tubman or Alyssa Milano. It's also really cheap, like Bitcoin used to be, coming in at $0.030 at the time of writing.

So let's cut to the chase. You maybe can't afford the amazing and brilliant $GME right now because it's trading at a sturdy Hedge Fund killing $328 and set for a Mars shot on Monday, or not, but you can get in the "stick it to the Man" action by going Doge. And hey, it doesn't even cost anything. Minimal downside, infinite up.

As it is, the attractively Shiba faced crypto's risen over 500% in the last month and set to go higher if Elon Musk has anything to say about it. “One word: Doge,” tweeted the billionaire back in December. Diamond hands? Maybe, let's see.

In the meanwhile, buy the dip, don't eat it and let's take this lovable crypto to the MOON. Not that this is financial advice, I'm just an LSP who lost all his guns in a catastrophic boating accident.

Your Old Pal,

LSP
