Operation Barn Sale #2

The last punter left, well satisfied, and we wrapped up the barn sale. What a great result, and pretty much limited to neighboring farmers/ranchers who got some good bargains which they'll put to good use.

EJS was a huge help, a selling machine, who speaks the language of cows, metal and the country, "Brother, 50 bucks all day long. Matter of fact, fixing to take this home today. You help me out, don't need no more in my shop." A pause, "Give you 40." And, "Done. Yours, my friend."

So much for small stuff. Metal -- tin, steel, copper and on went for pre-Biden prices and everyone was happy. And what a good group of country people who've become friends. I like that, a lot.

Cheers,

LSP

Sounds like a win/win all around.

Somebody brings a horse trailer, you maybe figure he came to buy something. Good on ya for neighbors and a successful sale.

Glad it worked out well! Next time, let us know where/when ahead of time. Who knows, 'we' might show up! ;-)

It was, WSF, and I made some new friends, which is good. Really straight up people.

Sgt., he bought the trailer (for cattle -- it's long) and then FILLED IT UP. But yes, definitely came to buy and got a good deal all 'round. Seriously, prices have tripled for tin etc.

I'd love that, NFO! Tell you what, maybe we'll do a quick New Years sale and everyone's invited. Hmmmm... perhaps a grill or two will be involved. And here's the thing, there's a few steel shop tables and carts, so bring a trailer :)

Seriously, shoot me a text or call if you're up for it. It'd fun to meet up and I'd rather things went to friends than auctioneers...
