People don't groan and talk about wookies, gunny sacks or ambiguous sexual identity when they see Melania. No, they stand and cheer instead.

That's because the former Yugoslavian model who speaks 12 languages loves America and its people, as well as her signature Louboutins. So well done Melania, for doing your part to make America great again.

International Women's Day

It's International Women's Day and America's popular and glamorous First Lady gave an inspiring address at the State Department's Women of Courage awards.

“Throughout history women have contributed in so many ways to our society,” said Melania, before praising the virtue of courage.

“As I have said before, I believe courage is one of the qualities we need most in society. It’s what propels us forward. Courage is what divides those who only talk about change from those who actually act to change.”

Well said, First Lady, but speaking of women, what's with Ilhan Omar and AOC? Are they secretly working for Trump in a bid to destroy the Democratic party from within? Consider the evidence. 

Omar's been busy getting American Jews to do the unthinkable and switch over to the GOP, while AOC's Green New Deal could have been mistaken for a parody hit job on some late night comedy show.

And both have their coreligionists in Congress divided and angry as they do their bit to drive the Democrats, like Gadarene swine, over the cliff of insane leftism.

Perhaps they're working deep undercover for MAGA and doing such a good job that you'd think they were just another couple of crazy demented, comsymp revolutionaries infesting the Capitol. But that's as maybe.

In the meanwhile, well done First Lady for doing your part to make America great again.

Melania Mondays!

Just because legions of DC paper pushers are taking a holiday thanks to vote hungry Democrats doesn't mean America's popular and glamorous First Lady takes a break. Far from it, Melania took to social media this weekend to say how much she's enjoyed her first year as FLOTUS.

"This has been a year filled with many wonderful moments. I’ve enjoyed the people I’ve been lucky enough to meet throughout our great country & the world!" 

The people of America have enjoyed the First Lady too and weren't shy to say so on Twitter. For example:

"Thank you Melania for gracing our White House with your elegance, quiet strength, intelligence, gentle loving spirit and love for God and this country. We have needed you for a very long time!!"

"You have been a great and unique, blessed addition to @realDonaldTrump @POTUS Presidency. We are grateful for all U do especially for America and for loving the American people who have been badly mistreated during last 8 years. G-D Bless you. EB."

"From the moment you stepped on the national stage you have brought grace & style to your position. Everywhere you travel you make us proud as a people. You have endured much unfair criticism which you rise above. Thank you for all you do, gracious First Lady of our land."

However, some compared the stylish former model and devout catholic unfavourably to her predecessor, Michelle Obama. Here at Melania Mondays! we leave you to be the judge of that.

Dr. Seuss Is So Very, Very Racist

Thanks to Liz Phipps Soiero, the whole world knows that Dr. Suess books are insufferably racist. That's why Soiero, a Cambridge, Massachusetts school librarian, rejected Melania's kind book bundle of Seuss' classic treatise on white supremacy, "Oh, The Places You'll Go!"

The problem, according to Soiero, is that Seuss' characters are "minstrelsy," and "steeped in racist propoganda." Minstrelsy? Yes indeed, that's because they often wear bow ties, just like those famous racists, Porky the Pig and Boo Boo the Bear. Mark Steyn actually bothered to do the research, looking up Soeiro's source text, an article in  the Journal of Social Justice Librarians. Here he is, on Tucker Carlson Tonight.

The piece argues that the Cat in the Hat’s bow tie is meant to be an evocation of 19th-century racist minstrel shows. Now just off the top of my head, cartoon characters who wear bow ties — Porky Pig, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Huckleberry Hound. Yogi Bear doesn’t wear a bow, he wears a tie like me, but his boy sidekick Boo Boo the Bear wears a bow tie.

Ambrosia, I think the name is, in ‘My Little Pony’ wears a bow tie. I’m not one of the many men in the western world who are obsessed with ‘My Little Pony’ and have ‘My Little Pony’ parties, but I happen to know this one character in ‘My Little Pony’ wears a bow tie. Cartoon characters wear bow ties. That has nothing to do the minstrel shows. We are making ourselves a society too stupid to survive...

We are making ourselves a society too stupid to survive, says the apocalyptic Steyn and he has an evident point. My Little Pony, how minstrelsy. But mind-bending dimwittedness aside, let's not forget hypocrisy. You see, Soiero likes dressing up as a Dr. Seuss character. This is her in 2015.

Who knows, maybe the enlightened librarian has repented of her racist, minstrelsy, Seussian past. On the other hand, perhaps she simply hates America's attractive and glamorous First Lady and her husband. Imagine Soeiro's reaction if Michelle Obama had sent the book bundle.

Go ahead, try that hat on for size.
