Lift High The Cross

The ISIS caliphate is gradually being driven back from Christian towns in Iraq, such as  Qaraqosh, near Mosul, where a large Cross was erected to celebrate the town's liberation.

The Cross, sponsored by a French charity, SOS Chretiens Orient, was blessed today in the presence of militia from the Christian Nineveh Protection Units (NPU) and the town's Christian population hope to return and rebuild their churches.

In the meanwhile, ask yourself why the governments of what used to be known as the free world were silent in the face of the head-chopping savages of the ISIS Caliphate's attempted Christian genocide in Iraq.

Ask yourselves, too, why our lying, hypocritical, smug, elite media were silent when Mohammedan fanatics murdered, tortured, raped and enslaved tens of thousands of Middle Eastern Christians. To be fair, The Atlantic covered Qaraqosh's liberation in April. Still, the silence of the secularists was and is deafening. 

Imagine, if you can, the roar of outrage from the governments and media of the West if Christians had been the perpetrators of these atrocities. But no, the murderers were Muslims and that religion, the beneficent religion of peace, gets a pass every time.

Pray that the NPU and others like them roll back the killers of the Caliphate and lift the Cross high in Iraq's ancient Christian communities.

Well Done

Abu Sayyaf

According to AP, U.S. Special Forces killed a senior ISIS commander, Abu Sayyaf, and captured his wife, as well as freeing a Yazidi woman who was being kept as a slave.

The raid took place in Syria, where Sayyaf was killed after what was described by a National Security Council spokeswoman as an "intense firefight" with some "hand to hand combat."

All US forces returned to base.

Marie Harf Epic Fail

There's a cancer eating away at our world, the deadly, contagious disease of Violent Extremism. Luckily, the University of Virginia is on the case in the form of Marie Harf, who shills for her Harvard overlords.

We can't "kill our way" out of ISIS savagery, she says, instead we've got to get down to the "root causes" of Islamic Violent Extremism that obviously isn't Islamic. Root causes like "lack of opportunity for jobs."

Before you cough up your Ash Wednesday Clam Chowder, take the time to read this, from the Atlantic. Seriously, worth the time.

I disagree with his Salafist antidote, but like the good analysis of the causes that Ms. Harf so epically fails to note. Causes that are, in the end, inherent with Islam itself. Or, to put it another way, why should the followers of the Prophet be expected to behave differently than the Prophet himself?

Good question and, Ms. Harf, you fail.

It's the last Sunday of Epiphany and the Religion of Peace is at it again, parading Yazidis in cages, prior to being burned alive, and beheading 21 Coptic Christians in Libya. And lest we forget, shooting up a cafe in Copenhagen and threatening to behead and rape a pop singer.

Remember, these atrocities committed by the Islamic State in the name of Islam have nothing whatsoever to do with Islam.

Recent evidence suggests that the Anglican Church of Canada (ACoC) isn't controlled by human beings but by the spirit of a dead alien space creature.

Proof emerged in Gosford, where Archdeacon Rod Bower is campaigning for radical Islam and the subjugation of women.

Good call, Rod, and it's all fun and games until you wake up and find ISIS has chopped your buddy's head off.

Fall of Saigon 2.0

The Jihad savages known as IS, the Islamic State, or ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or etc. is on the outskirts of Baghdad with some 10,000 fighters. One big push and they're in. The U.S. Embassy has 200 troops by contrast. I guess all the rest are fighting a virus.

Some see a replay of Saigon. Remember that? I do, just. But there's a difference between that fiasco and the one that's right near and present on our doorstep:

“Our humiliation in Iraq, unless things change drastically, will be even deeper, because our president now is feckless,” writes Thomas Lifson. “One big difference: The Vietnamese Communist Party had no interest in exporting its fight with us to our homeland.”

If I was CIC I'd be apologizing to all the soldiers who died for, apparently, nothing at all in Iraq. And their families.

And that's the least of it. What a thought. That a band of Dark Age barbarian beheaders would humiliate, defeat and emasculate the United States.

Yes, we were originally going to give that number to an Aries but he’s been beheaded. So take it.

Protestant Prelates Wage Peace, ISIS Laughs

Counting down the hours until they too can become Dhimmis, mainline Protestant denominations have stated their opposition to the use of force against ISIS. 

In a letter to President Obama, the United Methodists, Prebyterians, United Church of Christ and the Quakers have stated that military action against the savage Muslim terror group "is not necessary."

Instead they recommend, “long-term investments in supporting inclusive governance and diplomacy, nonviolent resistance, sustainable development, and community-level peace and reconciliation processes.”

And that's not all. Not by any means. These soon-to-be Jizyazites want to send out “professionally trained unarmed civilian protection organizations to assist and offer some buffer for displaced persons and refugees.”

In the meanwhile, ISIS is laughing all the way to the nearest woman bishop.

Maybe you think this is some kind of joke, like satire, but no, these clowns are for real and so are the savages.

Good to hear Christians are fighting back.

I Love Texas

Secede

Unlike our NWO overlords in Washington I won't lie, it's good to be back in Texas. For me, this means reconnecting with the people in the Missions and various firearms. I was a bit worried to discover that my sporter Lee seemed to be shooting a bit low, so I tinkered about in the fierce wind chill. Low and behold, it was dead on! Not bad for a 97 year old rifle.

Get On Target, For God's Sake.

But ancient battle rifle porch projects aside, excitement's building as Opening Day of dove season is right 'round the corner. I drove out to a parishioner's farm to scout out the potential action.

Polled Herefords

There were plenty of dove, unlike last year, and more than a few rabbits. So things look promising; the plan is to set up at first light with my Wittgensteininan ally GWB and shoot some dove. Then grill them, popper style.

Hours of Hunting Fun

Of course the dove may choose Opening Day to make themselves scarce and I may forget how to shoot in the general excitement of the thing. But we'll see.
