Liturgical dance is so very, very awesome.
Maybe that's why it's inspired so many thousands to go to church. Then again, maybe it's the beautiful altar frontals, nylon vestments and felt applique banners that did the trick. Here's a moving video:
Beautiful, isn't it. In related news, Baron Jacob Rothscild's dead. He once posed for the camera along with America's celebrity art witch, Marina Abramovic. The painting's entitled, Satan Summoning His Legions.
Appropriate, don't you think?
Out demons out,

I was moved by the dancing lesbians...
Being completely 'uncultured' I must ask, was there a point those dancers were trying to make?
I definitely think it was the fabric.
Liturgical Danse (Macabre) is one of the many reasons I no longer attend church services in a church.
Now, having heartfelt religious discussions with my wife? All the time.
And, of course, the correct way to handle Liturgical Danse (Macabre) and Baron Deaders and the Art-Witch, is, of course, summed up by the phrase, "Klause, hand me the Flammenwerfer!"
Gee, can they think of a reason why churches are failing/flailing and losing the (truly) faithful? Assuming I’d ever find myself in such an “establishment” with the Mrs., we’d be out of there inside of a nanosecond…while muttering plenty loud enough, “Get away from me Satan!”
Crusty Old TV Tech here. Something moved upon viewing those images, just not what the originators intended I suspect. What is it with those decrepid hippies and their felt and nylon, and writhing in the sanctuary?
And notice, ole Scratch in that painting is, um, not equipped as a male would be...the first transgender, eh?
Beans ole top, I'll do ya one better. "Major Kong, your target for today is the Rothschild place..."
Ah, the vestal virgin crowd at the annual three day horror in LA.
Paul M- You are correct. The liturgical dance churches are quietly emptying themselves of aging hippies with no one replacing them. The traditional RC churches I attend are full of growing young families. I was at a church in Green Bay this past summer- I hadn't seen that many newborns together since my youngest was in the hospital nursery.
No! Just no...
And prancing about with bare feet? Makes my stomach roll. No real dancer would do that.
One form of philosophy is to describe something by what it is not…(apophatic)
Perfect example of what the Divine Liturgy is not.
All that herkin' and jerkin' brings Saint Vitus to mind, along with his later day acolyte Saint Junior

My eyes! Stop it! Stop it! You're better than this! Don't stoop to showing liturgical dance!
Oh, and I wonder if there is any truth to the rumor that Satan loves liturgical dance?
I thought you'd approve, LL.
WSF, I think it's mainly about... about themselves.
Well it certainly didn't help, Juliette.
Beans, I think you're right, sometimes it's necessary to fight fire with fire. But do bear this in mind, not all churches deploy the beautiful art of liturgical dance.
Paul, they keep doubling down and let's not forget, Satan always overplays his hand.
There's some hope in that, I think.
Ah, Tech, you noticed the curious anatomy of the painting. Disturbing, eh? And that's just the art witch.
Just appalling, DOS.
It's awful at every level, Adrienne. Manhattan Infidel reminded me of the felt, btw. That's awful too.
Well said, Seamus!
Wild, what a great link!
I apologize, Infidel, I just couldn't stop myself.
the Devil hates Latin, much like an English schoolboy, but more wicked.
Wow, the dance really makes me want to join up. The two hole altar is a real show-stopper as well.
