Good and Bad

Good and bad? You see, there's a difference. On the one hand there's good and on the other, there's bad. Sometimes the two different things masquerade as the same thing, we see this in politics and also in the church. Here, look at this.

That's the bishop figure of London, pretending to be something good, a bishop, which she doesn't believe in anyway. Bad. And here's a couple of clowns celebrating Yewkrist at Trinity Wall Street.

Sinister, don't you think? Go on, receive unholy communion from the clown; sorry about the children, they don't deserve such abuse. But it doesn't have to be this way. There are alternatives.

You can worship God without blasphemously clowning around. Good. It's been done for a few thousand years and's still going on today. Perhaps you need to search it out, it can be hard to find, but it's there and it's worth it.

I say worth it, maybe you'd prefer something else, something more attune to the spirit of the age, something like this:

Why? Because, you know, wymxn priests are gonna fill the pews. Speaking of which, church attendance in England continues to plummet.

At the time of writing, the number of old wymxn on the venerable Church of England's Bench of Bishops is unknown.

Your Pal,

I can't believe how upside-down the world has come since I was a child in regards to the church.

The church was a sanctuary from the craziness of the world. It was our rock.

Guess I just have to shake my head at this, and carry on as I was taught.

They can't serve God and Mammon. And they've selected Mammon. Bad choice.

The mohammedens are not doubt enjoying England these days.

Not a regular church goer. That said, dragging me in would be the only way for that spectacle.

My eyes! They burn!

Providentially our TLM choices keep expanding here in SE Michigan.

Exactly, LL. Bad.

We need to reclaim LAMBETH PALACE.

drjim, the rock's still there despite their best efforts to destroy it. One day it'll go on the offensive. I wish that day would come soon.

LSP said...

Ain't that the truth, Kid.

LSP said...

WSF, I'd fight my way out of it if I had to.

LSP said...

Oh yes, NFO. Clown Church.

Just bizarre, and sinister.

Fun talking!

The contrast between the "Mass of All Ages" and the other pictures should be enough to drive everyone out of the new world order churches. Sadly - it's not.

Adrienne, it baffles me. By the same token, how can ANY Christian vote for abortionists, enthusiastic champions of it even.

Beats me.

I looked at this twice and found it hard to accept it was actually performed - seeing is not always believing - C.S. Lewis. Apparently clowns have featured for some years there, since 2005.

I am afraid this beings to mind black masses, the ritual conceived as a parody of the Catholic Mass ultimately a reversal in its complete form of ‘angelic virtues’ and consecrated state of being as re-stated in 1954 by Pope Pius XII. Prior to this popular lore had warned the same; notably popular lore has been warning of the sinister use of clowns (once innocent entertainment a descendant of the medieval jester) from McDonalds to the novels of Stephen King. That this appears to be Trinity Wall Street may be considered significant (Mark, Chapter 8.36)

Anon, I'd say "satanic parody" is right on the money. And we have to ask, "what shall it profit a clown...?"

Some would say they're playing the most dangerous game known to man.

DOS -- they're all out there, driving cars.

Good to hear you've got a good LM solution.

The great Prophet Flip Wilson talked about this kind of nonsense in his "Church of What's Happening Now" skits.
