Via markmaycott. In other exciting news, I'm fixing to grill up some chicken kebabs later on, Turkish style, not that the Compound's in any way, shape or form in favor of Sultan Erdogan. In fact, we want to see the Bosphorus, Constantinople and Hagia Sophia back where it belongs.
Cheers,
LSP

I'm going to remind other readers that I was NOT invited to share in the Turkish kebob lunch with LSP, Blue Devastator and the rest of the guests at the compound. So bruised feelings aside (I'm about 2000 miles from the compound at the moment and it would be inconvenient to share in a meal), it does sound delicious.
Normally I prefer the Greek (Christian) style of kebob, but being the inclusive, multicultural type that I am, I'm cool with Turkish.
Will there be a belly dancer present to serve the food? If so, pictures please.
LL, I apologize. I thought you knew the invite was "open."
Speaking of which, I understand it's open season on pirates off the coast of Mozambique. Well, the LCS has to be good for something, if upgunned with a battery of surplus WW2 Bofors. On the flight deck?
Stay tuned for a a kebab post and, as always, let's have Constantinople back. The Bosphorus belongs to US.
Depends on WHICH version you want to go back to. After 2500 years of war, you've got to be a 'bit' more specific... ;-)
Which version of Constantinople, NFO?
That's easy, I'd pick the Justantinian city. He wasn't that far off reuniting the Empire. But of course didn't.
Still, the Standards lost at Adrianople were recaptured and paraded through the Hippodrome. Sorry, history...
I was told there would be kabob.
I was told there would be belly dancers.
Ed, I got derailed. Stand by...
Ahem, Kid. Hold fire, be patient,
Here behind the lines at CBS news they are convinced that the election will result in a Biden landslide.
Infidel! What!?!
OK, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
