Prince Philip Hero

We all need heroes and how lucky we were to find one, in Prince Philip.

Dam straight.

What a man.

Leftists really hate him because look at Fascist who fought literal Fascists. But hey, reason ain't their strong suit.

All hail Prince Philip,

Watching The Grass Grow

There we were, out in the country, just me and the cows and we looked at one another over the gate. What's going on? Not much apart from a welcome respite from the news, and what news it is.

A show trial in Kenosha, the utter mendacity of the media, the VaxScam in which Big Pharma makes billions and you get an experimental shot which may or may not kill you. Then there's war. Curiously, my eldest says his unit's been pulled from deployment to the Ukraine along with many others. Good, he gets to go to Jordan instead.

But imagine. Say we went to war with Russia because, I don't know, Putin's against rainbow bathrooms, what then. Would our soldiers fight to death and dismemberment on behalf of a globalist rainbow oligarchy which hates and despises them?

More succinctly, would they fight for a lie, a lie they see through because even the lowliest private can get on the internet, to say nothing of common sense. I'll leave it there.

In the meanwhile, we've been busy watching the grass grow and that's no bad thing. There's a peace in the countryside and Karen's makes a dam fine bean/brisket. That much remains unchanged.

Well What Have We Here

Well, well, a Millionaire Socialist (#MillSoc) mountebank. Like really, you pay $30k or someone does for you to attend a dinner with a table price of over 200k. And guess what, you're not standing. Don't say bad optics.

But so what, wear that ha-ha-irony frock and have fun, photogenic AOC, while all your masked POC slaves wait on your whim. What brazen, literal, in your face hypocrisy.

Imagine. There you are, a waiter, a poor Latinx POC, wearing a mandated mask, while your wealthy, elite Hollywood Congressional rulers live it up, maskless and free.

You get the message, knuckle under, you masked serfs, and maybe you'll get a big tip from your rulers. If you're lucky.

How utterly disgusting, at every level.

Your Upbeat Pal,

RIP Mr. McAfee

The infamous, yacht sailing, run from the Feds, multimillionaire tech libertarian is dead, suicided today in a Spanish prison cell following a court approving his extradition to the US for tax fraud.

Did McAfee kill himself en lieu of spending the rest of his life in solitary supermax? Or did someone reach out and end him, Epstein style? Who knows, but the onetime tech mogul is famously on record saying he would kill himself. He even got a tattoo to prove it:

So what's the deal. Did McAfee owe too much cash to the wrong people or did he have damning evidence that'd come out in a US trial, "discovery," or both? For that matter, who else is involved, the Epstein Island flight list, the Clintons themselves? Surely not our intel agencies, that'd be unthinkable.

Hey, I don't know, being a humble serf of the New World Order, but isn't this the second suicide in so many months? Maybe you remember the guy who reported on Loretta Lynch's  meeting with Kill Clinton on the tarmac. Oops. Time to die. Go against our beneficent Millionaire Socialist rulers at your peril.

Such Utter Racism

As we ponder this timely message, spare a thought and a prayer for John McAfee. OK, he helped author an annoying software program but made up for it by sailing around the world,  and defying it and its masters.

I like that. He boosted the Peoples Currency too, and I like that as well.

God bless,

Life On The Range

It was just like the old days. Get up around first light, say Morning Prayer, drink coffee, then load up the rig with guns and head for the range. But this was different, this is JF's range with steel targets and shooting stations at 200, 600 and 1000 yards, all on his family ranch. What a great setup.

The crew were sighting in new Windham Armory AR pistols at 25 yards when I pulled in, and what solid little beasts they were! Good shooters, too. Then an AR rifle topped off with Aimpoint (nice) and a magnifier.

JF Zeroing Some AR Pistols at 25 yards

After a few test shots to see if the weapon was on, it pretty much was, R went out to 200 yards, the furthest he'd shot, and was amazed to get his final round right in the center of the bull of a steel silhouette. I spotted, "Well done!"

Behold big rejoicing in R's world. And fair play, not only does the rifle I built work but I can actually shoot it, sort of thing.  Next up, I got on JF's M1A, built from original parts except for the receiver, which is comparatively new and forged by wizards in some mountain fastness. Hey, it shot like a champ with .308 handloads striking gongs with regular authority. Iron sights to boot. I tell you, I want one.

Behold 1940s Awesome

Then, for kicks, a rimfire assault on our steel adversaries. I started off with a Marlin .22 WMR, compensating for an appx 100 yard zero and a moderate right to left wind. You see, at 200 yards the wind's going to blow that pokey if little bullet about, so try and shoot accordingly.

I did, and the gun did well, with convincing shots in or around the bull. But if the power .22 performed, what about its little brother, a .22LR? With a 100 yard zeroed scope, compensate for bullet drop of around 2', wind, and squeeze the trigger. Then be amazed as the tiny round reaches its intended destination. Thanks, Ruger American.

Not A Ruger American

JF's 1940s match Winchester 52 B(?) with a Unertl scope didn't disappoint either. There it was, Browning match .22 LR filling the orange bull on a 36" plate. What a lot of fun. Would my Ruger American .17 HMR work at the 200 yard range, given the tiny, tiny bullet is liable to be taken up and gusted off target by even moderately big Texan wind? Wow. It worked and I was taken aback. Far less compensation needed than the .22 WMR.  Fast and flat. Awesome little zipper of a round.

200 Yard Line , Zoom in to See Targets on The Berm

Of course it helped to have a good spotter, thanks JF, at every level. And the moral? Get out and shoot under the big sky of Texas, preferably on a friend's land and, note, rimfire at 200 yards is good training for reading the wind at an affordable price. And it's fun, which is what it's all about.

Shoot straight,

Monday Night Juke Box

So here we are and let's not forget, requests are on.  Like Jules' Holiday, by the Skorps. Here it is:

Adrienne's Two-Step, or something like that:

To say nothing of GWB's white supremacy. Behold the Eurythmics. Well done, Miss Annie Borman Lennox, let's hear it for white supremacism:

Warning. White supremacy

In the meanwhile, it's thundering down with rain. Who knows, maybe this rustic, erstwhile cotton town will be washed away in the wake of the flood. Not dissimilar to our Christian culture, when you think of it.

Cheers,

Art Philosophy - Cars

"Hey, LSP, can you help me out? I need to go to Fort Worth today for a procedure and need a driver." It was my EMU friend who's famous for driving a crew of motorcycle hippies out of his stock tank. "Sure, I'd be happy to help out."

Quite.

So off we went, all the way down I35W to Fort Worth's Southside. It's not too far from downtown and owned by the medical and hospitality industry. All kinds of hipster bars and eateries, which I toured while my friend was under. Did I stop in any? No. I did not.

Procedure over, we drove back to the country and my friend's barn, "Hey, LSP, have a look at these." Curious, I went through a doorway and there were these cars.

A '40(?) Ford Coupe, a '69 Chevy Camino SS, an '81 Corvette and another Ford Coupe, V8 and hotrod, immaculate. "Don't touch, LSP."

I was amazed  and laughed. "Is that a good laugh or a bad laugh, LSP?" It was good, and would it be OK to take some photos? "Sure thing," so I did. Who knew, certainly not me, that here in this Texan barn was a collection of cars, like works of art.

But what was the reason behind the collection, apart from the sheer good of the things in themselves? Why these as opposed to others?

Simple answer. They were the cars of his youth, after he'd left the Forces and two tours in Vietnam. He loved them then and decided to collect them now. I'll leave you to parse this not insignificant art philosophy.

Tree Top Flyer Best Version Ever

Because this shallow mind blog's all about CSNY, here's what we at the Compound think is the best version of Mr. Stills' Tree Top Flyer. Perhaps there's better, if so, send it on.

C Troop 6-6 Cavalry? Respect.

Money's On The Monkey

It's all going on, Hillary's bizarrely missing emails found in Obama's White House, traitor Brennan, approaching panic mode, Juicy! Smollette's legal team being sued for outright stupidity and HRH inviting the Grand Commander for a state visit.

We love that, here at the Compound, and want more of it. Special relationship, sort of thing. Bipartite Pact.

But of course the left's howling, they always do, such gnashing of anarcho-marxist teeth. Whatev. Suck it up, buttercups, the revolution begins at closing time. That's right, closing time on the FISA coup conspiracy. But choose your ticket.

Not a betting man but money's on the monkey, what?

Walls Walls Walls

The sturdy wall built around Obama's predictably bad taste mansion

Some people are against walls securing our southern and northern borders. They say it's immoral and unfair to all the wymyn and chyldryn fleeing the socialist utopias of Venezuela and Newark

Nancy's Millionaire Socialist mansion, protected by a wall, obviously

Maybe that's why Nancy and the Obamas have walls around their mansions. They want a barrier between themselves, their great wealth and the people who want a slice of the leftist roulette wheel action.

Like Cher. Gotta have good security when you're a multi-millionaire socialist, otherwise all the poor people you love are going to break in and steal your rich leftist stuff.

New York Socialism

And the list goes on, all these elite millionaire commies living in mansions surrounded by walls.

At what point will their brazen, literal hypocrisy be held to account?

Soon, please.

Bikers For Trump

Donald Trump, our President, met with bikers at some golf club he built in New Jersey. Members of the lying, slick, venal, mendacious mainstream media were there too and got a telling off.

Apparently they're ganging together or "colluding" to bring the the President down. Media leftists don't want a president who puts America first.

They hate that, they think it's Nazi. A bit like borders which, if left open, have the potential to give them millions of votes.  Nice, right? Imagine this scenario.

Anyone can come to the United States but, and here's the kicker, they can't claim benefits!

Oh my, what an electoral disaster.
