Get Out Of My House

Wow, he's on a rip:

You may have noticed Texas has deployed the National Guard to Eagle Pass, where it's blocking the Feds from the area of operation. Reflect on the significance of this and the Border Patrol Union being all in favor. Go figure:

Shout out to Governor Abbott for enhancing Border Patrol operations! By taking control of an area where so many illegal aliens are simply surrendering, he's freeing up BP agents to patrol areas with high numbers of illegal aliens who attempt to escape arrest.

What can we say, it's all getting a little 1850s out there, and by way of diversion, we seem to have declared war on Yemen. Do you remember all the wars Orange Man Nazi got us into?

Yours,

LSP

Bill’s righteous rant pretty much covers it…x1million!

Gov. Abbott said that he wouldn't order the Texas National Guard to shoot/execute illegal aliens because the federal government would prosecute him.

That's, unfortunately, what it would take. If the bodies were shot and allowed to molder, it would send an unequivocal message. Landmines would work too. Allow immigration through the door, not the fence.

1850s---well we all remember what happened in the US in the next decade.

This is really is another sign that internally the US is breaking down. Abbott, of course, is doing this for cynical political reasons. Notice how he isn't talking about refusing handouts from the Federal Trough and Texas already gets more federal money for immigration than any other state. He's doing these things to squeeze more of it out of Congress. Neither party really wants reform to deal with the 'crisis' because both are profiting off the Status Quo.

He ain't wrong.

Some hard choices need to be made. Unfortunately, I don't see very many willing to step up and make them.

The border thing seems outta control, WSF.

I'm afraid you're right, LL, and don't see either party fixing the problem.

Well said, Night Wind.

I don't see how this ends well.
