The UK still has some soldiers, not many, hardly any, but some. Do you think UKGOV got rid of their Army because they thought it was disloyal to GloboHomo power? As in can't have those Praetorians hijack our rainbow power grab.

The UK military keeps shrinking. Now they're dumping two frigates both because of their age and the inability to crew/man the ships because of dwindling numbers. I know that the remnant doesn't want to drop numbers to the point where they can't train enough to keep the ball rolling, but it takes a certain level of training in a number of very technical disciplines to keep a navy going.
So I read that the last steel mill in Britain is closing. Now I know that they are able to get cheap Chinese steel for probably less than making it themselves, but still. Forth Bridge? HMS Dreadnought?

On the one hand they're baying for war and on the other making it impossible.

DOS, I saw that too. And granted it's vaguely complex but yes. If you can't make raw steel and your enemies can, in abundance, then how are you going to fight your enemies with steel things, like guns, tanks and ships.

The pipes and drums reminded me that my Lee Enfield No.4 Mk 1 needs some practice.
Perhaps the type of EFFECTIVE recruit - that is sorely needed -cannot be found and those available are woke at best and need transitioning from Mom’s basement in the worst case. Just like here in the US. I recently read that most are too fat for entry into basic as well.
What is needed, there and here, is to restart the draft. Drawing on history, Britain needs press gangs.
Britain needs politicians and leaders who see themselves as British above all other identities, and who put Britain first. What it does not need are “citizens of the world” globalists, nor the resentment-filled spawn of former colonies (who cannot shut up about their claimed oppression and victimhood when in fact they come from the 1% of their shithole country), nor City of London types, nor other such vicious, yet smug and sanctimonious parasites.
With the likes of the above remaining in power, all a draft would do is harvest more bodies to feed into the war/usury meatgrinder of the Global American (in name only) Empire.
If we are going to go about overthrowing governments and sucking the wealth out of sovereign nations, let it at least be us as a whole benefiting from these crimes, and not a tiny bunch of narcissistic, self-pitying, and often perverted psychopaths who are bottomless wells of self pity and masters of “reverse victim and offender”.
Crusty Old TV Tech here. Sadly, Scotland is no longer The Brave, if one believes the bilge coming from Holyrood nowadays. The Scotland of 2024 appears to be nothing like the Scotland of 1944.

Heaven help us if we have to go all-in and call these kids up. People like my eldest will be in charge of shaping 'em up. There's a measure of hope in that, I think.
