Never Forget

Never forget and by the same token remember the constant stream of pro-Muslim sentiment that gushed out of the White House right after the attacks and throughout the Obama years.

Islam is a religion of peace, lied George Bush and the aptly named Hussein took up the mantra.

The same lie's being peddled today, albeit with a kind of desperation in the face of the Jihad savages' inability to stop themselves from running amok in Western towns and cities, to say nothing of their homelands. Well, they've been at it since Mohammed so why stop now?

But while it's important to know, name and fight the enemy, we also have to ask what we're fighting for. I'd suggest the freedom to drown ourselves in strip malls, concrete metrosprawls and gadgets isn't going to cut it.

we not only need to remember the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the aborted attack on the White House due to patriots who stood up to evil - and the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi a year later, but we need to look at ourselves as a nation and on the unwavering course that we need to take into the future for ourselves and our posterity.

We need to look at ourselves as a nation, well said and in doing so ask what it is we stand for. For the Kingdom of God or some other thing? I'll leave you to reflect on the likely success of the latter. Sermon over.

May those who died 17 years ago today rest in peace.

Maybe they'll rest in peace... maybe.

But I'm willing to lay odds that Charles Martel is rolling over in his grave.

He can't be happy about this, LL, not for a moment.

Barack wanted to make September 11, a day to recognize community organizers and racial agitators and activists. That idea never seemed to develop legs or wings, or anything. I think that he wanted to divert attention away from the Muslims who attacked us and onto himself and his glorious achievements and on his economy and high unemployment rate.

Funny - I just told someone we need a Charles Martel - stat.

I was manning the optical office alone that day and one of the first things I did on opening was turn on the radio. The first plane had just hit. I remember staring at the radio trying to comprehend what in heck they were talking about. I phoned home and told hubby to turn on the TV. I finally closed the office in the early afternoon and headed home. When I first saw the videos on TV I just sat there in stunned silence. There was nothing in my imagination that could have prepared me for actually seeing it.

I never hope for someone to rot in hell, but I pray that God's will was done for the sick muslim monsters who did this. Something tells me that God and I are on the same page.

On a happier note, our new church (located directly across the field from us) ground breaking ceremony is this Saturday with a sung Mass and "party" on the property. I'll be sure and take lots of pictures. We have to bring folding chairs and something to kneel on.
Um - in a word NO. Not kneeling 'cause even when I'm kneeling in the yard I almost need a sky hook to get back to an upright and locked position.

LSP, I wish you'd consider swimming the Tiber so you could be my official spiritual adviser. But.........unofficial is better than none at all ;-)

I remember Bush II calling for a "crusade" on TV, and thinking that term wasn't going to go over well with the lefties.

Sure enough, the White House issued a correction and apology the next day.

Charles Martel was last observed rotating at approximately 10,000 RPM....

But LL, surely you're not saying Barack was all about... Hussein?

Seriously, I'd forgotten his lame attempt to mess with the meaning of today's anniversary but now I do. Yet another fail and what did he succeed in doing? Selling guns and ammo, I can't think of anything else.

I was going to the church to say Mass when someone stuck their head out of a window and shouted "They're flying planes into the Pentagon!" We were living just outside of DC and I figured it might go nuclear. I offered that up at the Altar, pretty different. A journo came over with a few other DC types and we spent the day watching the news and drinking wine, quite a deal.

Well done on the new church! Congrats!

Thank you. I'm asking for a sidewalk to be installed across the field for my walking ease. If not, I'll just tough it out on the days I don't want to drive.

Imagine - a sung Mass outside in the weeds. What could be better? I certainly hope they're having a porta-potty brought in. I'm too embarrassed to actually ask. But Mass is at 9:30 am and the party part goes until 1:00 pm.
