Just Strolling Around

You know what it's like. Wake up, feed the dog, make strong covfefe, check the news on the back porch and learn that Russia's launched a new Oreshnik (Hazel) hypersonic missile at a target in Ukraine. Video footage of the strike on Dnepropetrovsk appears to show the munition was armed with multiple warheads, hinting, we can imagine, at potentially nuclear MIRV capability. But for now, thank God, the payload was conventional.

A shot across the bows of Lame Duck Biden and his vassal Two-Tier Kier's authorization of US/UK supplied missile attacks on Russian territory? As in, "Scalp, Storm Shadow, ATACM, meet Hazel," sorta thing. In related news, the deputy chief of the UK's defence staff, Lieutenant General Sir Rob Magowan, told the country's defence committee that, "If the British Army was asked to fight tonight, it would fight tonight."

It would, would it? With what, exactly. The UK has around 100 functioning tanks, 240 or so field guns, and around 100,000 in the Army itself with enough ammunition to fight for what, a week or two? All this to say nothing of Labour's latest round of defence cuts, which promise to shave 500MN from the military budget. What can we say, why spend money on your own security when you can spend it to protect Blackrock's investment in Ukraine. Snap to it, lackey.

Huh, all that flashed across the screen as the sun rose, birds sang, Bitcoin hit 98k, Doge hovered between .38/.40, Matt Gaetz took his hat out of the ring, is Bondi better? and race hoaxer Juicey Smollet got let out of jail by Illinois' Supreme Court. Well it's all going on, and then some.

I took solace in Morning Prayer, 1928 BCP style, thank you very much, and went for a stroll to the Town Square, which is, unfortunately, an industrial truck route. From there? Over to Ya-Ya's Mexican diner for dam good huevos rancheros, a quick look-in at a good seamstress who's fixing an old poplin suit coat, the Gold Nugget pawn, and our dinosaur museum, yes, we have one.

Cheers,

You Evil Idiots

Labour, which is a UK political party pretending to boost working class people as opposed to corporate interest, wants to end private ownership of land. It was always thus, see kulaks, you wretched, miserable, malfeasant, counter revolutionaries.

Here at the Compound we utterly despise the Left, totally. Perhaps you don't, but give it your best shot in defense, go on, dare you, and Devil take the hindmost. To say nothing of a Guinea, damme. Not that you could afford it, being a commie and all.

Regardless, I see your dog with a monkey. Up?

PS. You know what? I hate urban leftists trying to loot the country. They need to step the fk down. Just sayn.

Farmers Revolt

This time in what was and hopefully will be again Great Britain. You may have noticed our agrarian friends have been protesting all over Europe, and now it's hit the UK, catalyst being an inheritance tax which threatens to put family farms out of business.

Please don't think for a second that Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose et al aren't interested in a land grab, to say nothing of Blackrock & Co. Some even say solar panel/carbon capture/green scam firms have their eye on the country. No corruption there, move along, farming Fascists. Whatev, here's Clarkson:

There is something loathsome to me, and perhaps to you too, at the prospect of a gang of two-bit pol hack commies, shilling for Big AG and all of that, trying to destroy family farms. And what's left of the Middle Class. We voted against that in the States recently, maybe the UK will wake up. Maybe we need to send a couple of Carrier Groups and a Marine Expeditionary Force to liberate the Sceptered Isle. Maybe so.

Take away? "Infernal Government." Back down and stand down, you hated, corrupt, lying, malfeasant, proud, degenerate, pugnacious, hypocritical country hating commies.

Moving On

Moving on. Look, Josephine! Here's the sound track:

They say she had rotten teeth. Whatever.

Iron Duke,

PS. This inconsequential mind blog stands thoroughly for our farmers, unlike UKGOV, which doesn't.

Liberation of Detroit

It's been a struggle, and whoever said it wouldn't be, the enemy is well entrenched, but there's light at the end of tunnel. Yes, my dear friends, there is. Check it out.

don't say "what a sh*tshow"

Persevere, what?

Your Pal,

Aposticae Curae - Saepius Officio

Do you remember Leo XIII's 1890s Bull Apostolicae Curae, proclaiming Anglican Orders "null and void" due to defective form and intent? Sure you do, but you may have forgotten the unofficial reply of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, Saepius Officio, written in Latin. (sorry, can't find text online)

Regardless of the merits of Temple and Maclagan's argument, and I think it's strong in its context, can you imagine such a document being written today by the COE's hierarchs? Of course you can't, it's unthinkable. All this to say nothing of the current wickedness enthroned in Rome. Behold, gentlemen and women, devolution. We just ain't so smart as what we used to be. Perhaps getting rid of the DOE will help.

The tall one front row

In happier news, Sgt. LSP called yesterday to announce 1. He's reenlisting and wants to fill out a Drill packet  2. Engaged 3. Fiance getting baptized 4. Is now a Knight of Columbus who, curiously, thinks some Anglican Orders valid. What can we say?

What?

Remarkable footage of a Lancet loitering munition hitting a Ukrainian team. Like... what? Like this is a whole new phase of warfare and it's terrifying. I hope those guys got out of there alive but know some didn't.

More than that, I hope the people responsible for this slaughterhouse, and it is, should be held accountable.  Victoria Nuland, we're not looking at you, not for a second.

What utter satans,

LSP

Ranching

There it is, Texas, under a big blue sky. And I tell you, it was good to be out on my friend's ranch, which is pretty unreconstructed apart from the neat house he's built on the ancestral land. Yes, it has a tower, important for overwatch, and's built of stone as opposed to brick. I'll send photos next time I'm back, it's a substantial house.

In the meanwhile, we enjoyed a brunch send-off for a church woman who's leaving for Weatherford. What a good person! Worldwide champ barrel racer in the '80s and President of the WPRA, which would pretty much make her totus orbis Head of the Cowgirls. Like no kidding. She's also been Senior Warden of Mission #2 and I could not have wished for a better person in that role, to say nothing of a friend.

Ranch brunch over, I headed back to the Compound along the strip of rural wasteland that is HWY 22 and thanked God for His goodness. Beautiful country, outstanding people, no rainbow garbage and a great moon overhead.

God Bless,

LSP

Maybe Just Calm Down

Hey, it's all going on but maybe it's not wrong to sit back, take it easy, enjoy a Negroni or whatever at the Club, and take it all in. Namely, a monumental Trump landslide and the popular invalidation of all the woke BS we've been subjected to for far too long. Sorry no, women aren't men and vice versa, trust the dam science. We call it "biology."

Whatev, here's the Dead:

What a band. Don't say Bob Weir's shorts.

Ever,

Don't Cry Cryo

You're racked with spasms of rage, weeping, denial, unnamable fear and yet more shrieking and crying. All because literal Hitler Kremlin asset is coming to get you, to hunt you down; it's a living nightmare. Fortunately there's a service to make it all OK, to make it better, Don't Cry Cryo:

Go on, trust the science, and thanks Big Pharma.

Cheers,
