The Beast
Operation Barn Sale #2
The last punter left, well satisfied, and we wrapped up the barn sale. What a great result, and pretty much limited to neighboring farmers/ranchers who got some good bargains which they'll put to good use.

Operation Barn Sale #1
Lo and behold, Barn Sale #1: '08 Kubota Tractor, Shredder, Gooseneck Trailer, Headgate & Mini Chute, Air Compressor(s), Power Washer, Ear Tags, Complete Scaffold (wheeled), Tools, Fence Panels (10 set deal, $80 bucks a panel my friend) and on.
So that was all good. But let's see what tomorrow brings, and remember that one man's trash is another one's treasure. "How much?" pause, "Make me an offer, I think your tractor needs that." Another pause, walk away, "Twenty Dollars!" Turn 'round, "No sir." Reflection, "$30, last offer." Sold. That was my pal, selling machine.
And on. So today was good, let's see what tomorrow brings.

Dark Star Tactical
Here's the thing. Christmas at the Compound usually means saying the Masses and then driving to Ma LSP's on Christmas day to celebrate with friends and family. Big fun, but it's in Dallas so I put up lights and don't get a tree, the tree's in D.
This year's different. The eldest's coming in from Fort Hood and we figured we'd spend Christmas together, so I got a tree, at Walmart. It's a ferocious little beast and in tribute to the profession of arms comes with a tactical, dark star. After all, it'd be wrong to give your position away with a sparkly, glittery ornament. They can have that in Dallas.
In other news, we apparently live in an age of mind-bending deceit, chicanery, croneyism, malfeasance, tyranny and godless corruption, of egotistical, psychopathic power masquerading as compassion. But don't despair, instead, with Mary, sing out:
MY soul doth magnify the Lord, * and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded * the lowliness of his handmaiden. For behold, from henceforth * all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath magnified me; * and holy is his Name. And his mercy is on them that fear him * throughout all generations. He hath showed strength with his arm; * he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seat, * and hath exalted the humble and meek.He hath filled the hungry with good things; * and the rich he hath sent empty away.He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel; * as he promised to our forefathers,Abraham and his seed, for ever.

Adveniat
Are you incapable of serious thought, so-called 'LSP'? Yes, but Fulton Sheen's different. Here's an Advent reflection:
If, in those days, the stars of the heavens by some magic touch had folded themselves together as silver words and announced the birth of the Expected of the Nations, where would the world have gone in search of Him?
The world would have searched for the Babe in some palace by the Tiber, or in some gilded house of Athens, or in some inn of a great city where gathered the rich, the mighty, and the powerful ones of earth. They would not have been the least surprised to have found the newborn King of kings stretched out on a cradle of gold and surrounded by kings and philosophers paying to Him their tribute and obeisance.
But they would have been surprised to have discovered Him in a manger, laid on coarse straw and warmed by the breath of oxen, as if in atonement for the coldness of the hearts of men. No one would have expected that the One whose fingers could stop the turning of Arcturus would be smaller than the head of an ox; that He who could hurl the ball of fire into the heavens would one day be warmed by the breath of beasts; that He who could make a canopy of stars would be shielded from a stormy sky by the roof of a stable; or that He who made the earth as His future home would be homeless at home. No one would have expected to find Divinity in such a condition; but that is because Divinity is always where you least expect to find it.
Divinity is always where you least expect to find it. I'd second that and Guinea on the monkey, what?

Αγνή Παρθένε
I love this. The sound of Crusade and Advent.
Ave Domus Aurea,

Country Sale Barn #2
I tell you, punters, never a dull moment in LSPland. One minute it's off-world supermodels in Paris and the next you're gazing at an '08 Kubota, waiting for a 20 yard dumpster and getting ready for a country barn sale.
Yes. Tools, we sell 'em by the box, then there's anchors, welding tables, tool boxes, PVC fittings, jacks, literal buckets full of shovels, axes and picks. To say nothing of scaffold, dog pens (x5), steel pipe. tin by the yard, copper pipe, power tools and on and on. Roll up, roll up my friends.
But there's a lot of trash, hence the dumpster which was supposed to arrive at 11 am but didn't, more like 4. But hey, it got there and Jose, with a rambunctious flash of gold dentistry lowered the grey metal beast into position, "Sound like thunder!" And so it did.
Mission accomplished, he left for Waco and left me to close up shop as mighty hawks swooped down on the fields in search of prey. Ferocious predators! Watch them glide and dive with concentrated ferocity.
Then back to the Compound, where Blue was busy sleeping and all was well with the world. Tomorrow? We shall fill that dumpster.
Your Old Country Sale Barn Pal,
LSP
PS. There's great excitement, rightly, in the country about this sale and you're all invited. It's this weekend, Saturday-Sunday. But when you turn up bear in mind, cash on the nail, no "Visa." But people using the code "LSP" get a special 10% discount. Value, eh?

Winged Hussars
>
Walk. Trot. Canter. Gallop. RUN! All you horse people know; imagine the slashing shock, the kinetic power of the thing.
Poland rode to the relief of Vienna, not that long ago, and broke the Moslem war horde. Let's see more of that and while we're at it, let's have Constantinople and the Bosphorus back. After all, it's ours.

The Fauci Candle
"I believe in science," said an old friend on the phone. "No you don't," I replied, "You believe in the Democrat Party." That in mind, believe is the operative word and America's highest paid civil servant's right up there at the top of the cult. You can even buy votive candles dedicated to the patron saint of big pharma profit$ healthcare.
They're not cheap, obviously, but what price passive aggressive self-satisfaction? "I don't know how to explain to you that you should care for other people," runs the smuggery. So very true, go right ahead and demonize people for being reluctant to get a jab which doesn't stop you getting or spreading a disease but which does, mirabile dictu, make a lot of obscenely rich people even wealthier than they already are.
Private islands and jets all 'round, how very... Left. And I asked my friend, "Since when and why did the Left climb into bed with notoriously charitable institutions like Merck, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. Because science?" The silence was deafening.
Speaking of which, the data from Pfizer's vax trials has been sealed by the FDA for seventy five years. Let that sink in, seventy five years. Forgive the phrase, but the fix is clearly in, let's make that deep fix, and if you want to really follow the science guess what, you can't. It's sealed, you see.
So carry on, light a candle and cheer our elite overlords as they scientifically round up the maskless unvaxxed into KZs in the name of science, all because they care. Don't say about money and power.

O Come, O Come Emmanuel
O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here,
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan's tyranny;
From depths of hell Thy people save,
And give them victory o'er the grave.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Dayspring, from on high,
And cheer us by Thy drawing nigh;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death's dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Key of David, come
And open wide our heav'nly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Adonai, Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai's height,
In ancient times didst give the law
In cloud and majesty and awe.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
God bless and watch over you all,
