Druids & Associated Idiocy

Julius Caesar wrote this about the Druids and their heathen religion: "[They] believe that the gods delight in the slaughter of prisoners and criminals, and when the supply of captives runs short, they sacrifice even the innocent."

Note. Even the Romans, notoriously tolerant in their polytheism, scorned these pagans and slew them, erasing the forest dwelling killers. Well it appears they're back, check it out:

And just as we're recovering from Druid/Shaman rock, some enterprising soul bombed the Georgia Guidestones, which are a kind of Stonehengey monument to the New World Order, population control, and Soylent Green, all of that.

Whether Klaus Schwab and his bought and paid for satraps get the message remains to be seen, unlike Nancy Pelosi on a beach in Italy, which is all too uncomfortably visible.

Try not to throw up.

You could clear your aural palate with some Nightwish. Less druidy, more epic rocky and Floor Jensen is easy on ears and eyes.

The Jan 6th “Committee” should use the D/R Rock as a theme song, hire the Shaman dude as spokesman. They can compare notes.

As for the bottom picture, Satan’s minions should not be let off the leash in public. Can’t unsee that.

Ah, Surfer, Nightwish! Nice one (that vid's been taken down by YouStasi, btw). And yes, easy on ears & eyes.

But seriously, what's with all this pagan stuff? Don't like it.

Paul, let's all stand back and laff at the failed PR stunt which is the J6 Committee. Gues what, K Street, nobody cares, redo the calculus. What utter idiots.

Sorry about the last photo.

Give Nancy her due. She was walking in sand without support. Probably hadn't sampled any of the wines yet.

There's only one song what goes with that last pic, even if the assigned critters are politically correct for that context:

Guidestones: Evidently someone does not plan on going quietly into that dark New World Order night.

I just don't understand how a society that considers it a right to kill children up to the moment of birth would be sympathetic to pagan values. Oh wait.........

Your condemnation of a musical style you don't like reminds me of the people who condemned the West Memphis Three mostly because they listened to Heavy Metal music and dressed in a way that "the respectable people" of Memphis found upsetting.

I mean, they wore nothing but black, and listened to music that dealt with angst and death. They were clearly Satanic! At least according to the respectable people of Memphis.

And Heilung isn't Druid, they are more Norse. Which may be no better in the eyes of the respectable people. Better start a campaign to condemn them for murder based on the lyrics in a language you don't speak

Well yes, WSF, there is that.

Wild, looks like the Guidestones are levelled as of this morning. Huh.

It's a great mystery, Infidel.

LSP said...

Zendo, I stand rebuked! Though to be fair, I quite like their musical style, just not so much the pagan aspect.

If you do like Heilung, you might also like Faun, Omnia, and Damh The Bard. Though Omina and Damh the Bard will "annoy" you for the same reason that Heilung does... They don't share your particular set of religious beliefs.

Faun is more straight-up German folk music, and I liked their previous lineup more than I like the current lead singer, though that may be that the music has changed a bit. What I think is their latest album Von den Elben or "From the Elves" in English, sounds like it could have been made by the house band in Rivendell, from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.

Thanks for the tips, Zenda, and I'll check 'em out. Maybe or definitely a post is in order. On topic, my dad knew Tolkein back in the days of a better Oxford. What a remarkable man! Catholic, obvs, but he knew the Norse thing and beyond.

Beowulf forever :)

Mr. NFO, I nearly issued a "graphic warning."

Your FATHER knew TOLKEIN and we haven't heard those stories??????????

Do tell!

Zendo, trying to comment on your excellent blog but comments don't seem to work... just fyi.

Wild, it's all true. CS Lewis' last secretary, Walter Hooper, was and is a big family friend. But more on this anon.

I came to see a comment about "lightning" striking the Georgia Guidestones.

Nope.

Until now.

Why me...

Love you, neighbor!

The Stones are gone.

You are a prophet!

Speaking of Norse bands.... I really don't like Krauka in general. But this video never fails to bring a smile...

"Odinn" is basically the kennings (alternate names) of Odin from one of the Eddas (poetic?). So for example Odin is known as Gangleri or Wanderer, since he is often described as on old man wandering the countryside looking for someone to offer him hospitality.

I'm always amused that they're singing about Odin, and for most of the time they're in front of a famous Icelandic statute of Thor riding his chariot.

"Óðinn"

Thanks for the vid, Zendo, and I noticed the statue. Hmmmm, must get back to my (very) rusty Norse mythology.

Speaking of which, isn't Odin god of poetry and runes, among other things?
