I have vague memories of Mombasa. The biggest one was the neap tide one night. Literally no water to swim in - even as young as I was it was barely up to my ankles.
I've never been, N. To Nairobi, yes, but not much more than that. Enjoyed it, too, and if I've been tempted to go on a horse safari in the Great Rift -- have to be fit though.

Why hasn't Barack moved to Mombassa (and its promise of a welcome)?
An interesting video of another time. I doubt the princess would receive the same reception today.

Even Mickey the monkey joined in? I'm just not going to touch that one.
I do, however, love the dresses Princess Margaret wore.
But LL, would Kenya have him?
Did you know there's 30,000 white farmers in Kenya? At least last I heard. At its peak 60k.
Weird stat.
Good we beat the mutiny, bad we didn't have the fortitude to see the victory through.
Jim, I doubt it too. A better time, I'd argue.

Such a WICKED monkey, Adrienne.
But Margaret looked beautiful, I thought. I like that style.
