A Miracle!
A miracle has occurred. Our enemy, The Weather, was advancing remorselessly, searing Texas until the heat seemed intrinsic to the landscape itself. Everything was hot. Then clouds rolled in from the West, bringing rain.
And 80 degree weather. "I can handle this," said one Canadian heatstroke victim.
Those of you who live in chilly climates will appreciate the significance of this miracle.

We were suffering today under a chilly 105 degrees. That's not even warm enough to get my muscles warmed up and working. We need to step up the war on weather if this stuff continues.
I know. 104 in the shade and they're complaining. Sorry guys, that's the price of freedom.
Now it's in the 80s. God does exist.
Your tax dollars at work...
God definitely blessed us with some rain. And cooler temperatures here, too, though not as big a difference as for you.
Glad you got some relief!
It's 95 in NYC with a heat index of 106.
Somewhere Al Gore is having his sixth cheeseburger while blasting the AC full blast and saying "This kind of heat never happened before!"
Beating the weather doesn't come cheap.
Raining now, which is nice, but it's badly thrown off riding and shooting...
That sounds miserable, Infidel, especially the bit about having to share a room with Big Al.
Look for 100 on Labor Day. One more heat wave before fall.
Prior to this past weekend, I was growing more skeptical of the forecasts, as any rain percentages frequently fizzled out, leaving us high and dry. NoW we wait to dry out, tho thankfully we're not needing that as badly as the folks in Louisiana.
