CRYPTO CARNAGE!

It's been a rough week for crypto. BTC's crashed to a wretched just over 16k, ETH's down to a miserable 1.2k and everyone's beloved DOGE sits and wags its adorable tail at a mere 8 cents. Wipeout across the board. So what happened? Several things, not least the collapse of the ponzi laundromat FTX exchange. Here's a helpful infographic:

Word to the wise, don't put more in than you can afford to lose and while you're at it, think about getting tokens off of exchanges and into secure wallets. That said and for what little it's worth, I'm long crypto and see an opportunity to buy at bargain basement prices, but caveat emptor, buyer beware. Do you dare reach out and catch the falling knife?

Money on the monkey and twice as fast, eh?

Cheers,

Mince Pie Maleasance

A man in his 70s has been given a 6 month gaol sentence for selling mince pies at a shooting range during a scamdemic lockdown. Where? North Korea? China? No, in England.

Via Spiked:

Picture the scene: Maurice Snelling, a British pensioner from Staffordshire, was serving wine and mince pies in December, bringing some festive cheer to his local area. For this ‘crime’, he was reported to the police. This then set off a chain of events that have now landed him in prison. This is because Snelling was selling his mince pies in December 2020, the first winter of the pandemic – a time when the world was gripped by Covid hysteria and England was under ‘tiered’ lockdown rules.

Snelling served his pies on the premises of his Cloudside Shooting Club. At the time, Staffordshire was under ‘Tier 3’ lockdown restrictions, meaning that hospitality venues were only allowed to operate as takeaways or drive-throughs. But Snelling was allowing people to gather, eat and drink on the site.

Wow. Snelling had the sheer, brazen, literal temerity to break Tier 3 Lockdown with malfeasant mince pies. What an enemy of the people. Now this 72 year old criminal can serve well deserved time for his so-called "festive cheer." Good thing his neighbours reported the old age perpetrator to the Stasi.

Take a deep breath and remember the old line in the song, "Britons never, ever, ever shall be slaves." No, not slaves, maybe serf peons of the rainbow ascendant NWO. In other news, Russia pulled back from Kherson to take up defensive lines on the Dnieper. Check out pro-Russkie RWA's intelligent analysis if you're interested.

Then there's us, here in the States, the most powerful, advanced country in the world which, apparently, finds it hard to manage the free and fair mechanics of an election. Don't say Zimbabwe.

Veterans Day

They say the badge is made of gunmetal from a French cannon captured at Alex. It became plastic, though smart soldiers bought the real thing; it then amalgamated and then disappeared. You see, all those votes don't come cheap and we'll never, ever have to fight a war again. Good gamble, idiots.

Speaking of which, I announced to Ma LSP, "I'm a veteran!" She replied, "No you're not, you haven't even been in a war." On the contrary, Ma'am, I am the veteran of a 1000 psychic wars, and the Glos. Rgt.

Respect to all who served and are serving.

Church of England Gets Even Moar Gay

Hawk-eyed observers of the religious scene will have noticed that the venerable if shrinking Church of England's getting gayer by the day. Yes indeed. In October, an openly partnered rainbow clergypersyn, The Very Revd Dr David Monteith, was promoted to one of the COE’s most prestigious positions, Dean of Canterbury Cathedral.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justsin Welby, congratulated the new Rainbow Dean on his promotion:

"I'm delighted by David's appointment as Dean of Canterbury," gushed Old Etonian Welby, "He has been an exceptional Dean of Leicester -- and his deep faith and spirituality, creativity, and profound sense of service will be a gift to Canterbury Cathedral and all the communities it serves."

How very lovely. Monteith lives in a civil partnership marriage, which somehow isn't a marriage, with David Hamilton, a bereavement counselor. But that's not all, no, not by a long shot.

Only last week, the Bishop of Oxford, Steven Croft, wrote and published an annoyingly long 52 page argument in favor of same-sex wedding rituals. Other bishop figures were swift to applaud Croft's interminably gay essay.

The Bishop of Worcester, the Rt Rev Dr John, the Bishop of Dudley, the Rt Rev Martin Gorick, the Bishop of Reading, the Rt Revd Olivia Graham, the Bishop of Buckingham, the Rt Rev Alan Wilson, and the Bishop of Dorchester, the Rt Rev Gavin Collins, all backed Croft’s call for the COE to embrace same-sex marriage.

There's more, much moar, but I'll leave you with this. Rainbow Rider Croft unironically deployed Matthew 7:15-20 as a proof text in support of his lengthy argument in defense of gayness. Here it is:

15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

"Thus you will recognize them by their fruits." Quite, to say nothing of false prophets. Rainbow Rider Croft curiously doesn't expound upon these but feels the Church since its conception has been an unhealthy tree because of its bizarre insistence that marriage is something which can only take place between, gasp, shock, horror, a man and a woman.

Stirring, what? Even though it is French.

Red Wave? Red Drizzle

Wow, remember the Red Wave? You know, the GOP tsunami that was going to sweep the commies outta the House and into the rainbow glitter gutter? Sure you do and words fail at the actual result; a miserable, pathetic, vapid red drizzle. So what went wrong?

I'll leave you, the experts, to answer that one but I will say this. The Mid Term Fiasco (MTF) will embolden the Unicorn and its handlers, so expect, in no particular order, moar Drag Queen Story Hour, moar War, moar partial birth abortion, moar asset-stripping, moar inflation and moar debt. That'll end real well, but at least bathrooms won't be binary.

And guess what. If you, the serf, dares to object to the multi-hued Elysian Field expect a friendly knock on the door at 4 am. Because, obviously, speaking out against our beloved Uniparty rulers isn't free speech, it's hate speech, and deserves to be punished in the name of our great democracy.

Sorry, constitutional republic. Speaking of which, I asked a pol phil prof at Baylor, "Have we become a banana republic?" He replied, sharp as a tack, "Oh no, we're hardly a republic, more a banana, surely." Quite.

Smart people are cleaning weapons, loading mags and throwing last year's furniture on the fire.

Tales of Brave Uysses

Such is our path. And for me that meant Mr. JM sending his crew around the vicarage today and yesterday. No kidding, those Mexicans worked day and night to make the Compound presentable. Thanks, guys. So here we go, JWTS (Jungle Warfare Training School) cleared and room to breathe, don't even think of fast talking outta this one.

JM, landowner: "So what's happening here, fella?"

LSP, "We're standing strong for the Red Wave and, in the meanwhile, I gotta learn Spanish."

JM, "You're pretty savvy."

And there you have it. Immediate objective's to learn Spanish, then we'll go from there. By the way, Democrats, have you stopped to consider Spanish speaking people don't necessarily vote commie?

A Short Sunday Sermon

There it is, you've no sooner recovered from the admirable Uganda Police Band than you're in church conjuring with the Saints, the innumerable multitude of the holy who stand before God's throne in the exultant liturgy of heaven. As through a door or window opened up into paradise, we see them in the book of Revelation:

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!"

Behold the glory of the beatific vision, and with it we're reminded that sanctity is our common vocation, we're all called to be saints, but how? By imitating Christ, patterning our lives after the pattern of Christ's life, and our Savior reveals his character to us in the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-12).

Blessed are the poor in spirit, the humble. This is Jesus who "humbled himself taking the form of a servant and became obedient even unto death." Blessed are those who mourn, and Christ does precisely that, he grieves for the sin of the world and its deadly effect. Think on the two awful and piercing words at the death of Lazarus, "Jesus wept." Blessed are the meek or gentle? Such is Jesus, a gentle man as opposed to an arrogant, aggressive, boastful man, "Come to me for I am gentle and lowly in heart."

Again, "Zeal for your house has consumed me." Our Lord hungers and thirsts for righteousness as he drives the moneylenders out of the Temple. And mercy? "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone," and he doesn't, though qualified to do so. Instead, the sinless man, in utter purity, brings peace to the world, uniting fallen humanity to the Father on the cross where he dies for the forgiveness of our sins.

Humility, compassion, gentleness, righteousness, mercy, purity and peace, the character of Christ and the path of holiness which Jesus invites us to walk. Those who do become saints, indwelt, purified and redeemed by the Holy One of Israel.

Can it be done? Yes. The Saints, from righteous Abel through the Patriarchs, Prophets, Apostles, and Martyrs, up to the holy men and women of today show us that sanctity, by the grace of God, is very real. Christ invites us to follow him so that we may attain it and the crown of glory which fadeth not away.

God bless,

Edinburgh Garrison RSM - For LL

Behold the power of the RSM, and well done those boys. LL, this short infovid's for you, respect. In other news, we had our diocesan convention this morning and it was incredibly, mercifully short. Upshot? They made me a Rural Dean. What does a Rural Dean even do?

I guess we'll find out. My guess is... fish, shoot, listen to Waylon, ride again, drive rigs, say Mass and get rural on a Dean tip. But seriously, if you'd said in the mid '90s and beyond that I'd be Priest-in-Charge of two country missions between Dallas and Waco, well, I'd have laughed.

How preposterous. Hey, the joke was on me, and I thank God for it. No kidding.
