Who Are These Men?

We've been going through old pictures and found the above. Who are these men? Jagos, add-on founders of Denton, my Mother's people? Or just some random gang my Great Great Grandmother happened to know and like. Both options are more than possible, combined.

That in mind, you get the feeling from the photo that there wasn't much law here back in the day. And think, "back in the day" means what, 1918-20? Something like that, and something like that wasn't so very far from the frontier and all that went with it. Respect.

Regardless, any help with a positive ID would be most appreciated.

Justified And Ancient?

Archeologists, including at least one boffin from Aberystwyth, which is a town in Wales, were stunned when they discovered worked logs in Zambia which were almost half a million years old. This is, to date, the earliest known wooden structure or remains of such a thing ever found.

Dated by luminescence technology at a remarkable 476,000 years old, the logs appear to have been part of a platform and show clear signs of being cut by, presumably, flint or stone tools. And why is this find on the beautiful Kalumbo river remarkable?

Boffin finds stupidly ancient log

Because one of the discoverers came from Aberystwyth? Well yes, but more than that: Human beings, Homo Sapiens, weren't supposed to exist at this point in prehistory. Our earliest fossils (H. Sap) date back to around 300,000 BC.

So this discovery of an intelligently worked wooden structure potentially busts all kinds of theories. Not least accepted archeo/anthropological orthodoxy which insists humans were nothing more than nut gatherers, bark scrapers and berry chewers until around 10,000 B.C.

Unaided reason says this is risibly absurd and now, so too, does archeology. Our ancestors were building with wood half a million years ago. Let that sink in. It's seismic.

Excuse me?

But not to be deterred from their careers on the United Kingdom's far-flung Welsh coast, our adventurous experts assure us that the people who built this structure, with flints, stone and all the rest weren't really human.

They were precursor hominids, sorry, hominins, apparently. Why? Coz H. Sap. wasn't supposed to be around then, according to the text books which make the experts cash. Sorry, peer reviewed reputation.

Most Awesome

Here at the Compound we ask, "Are you totally sure, coastal boffins, what about all those fossilized foot prints? Could humans, people the same as us have built a platform in Zambia 476,000 years ago?" And if so, what could they have developed and lost in the intervening millennia. I feel this is important, chime in if you like.

Green Faker Mountebanks Go Full Coal

Do you remember how a teenage Swedish autist, with an arguably satanic mother, determined the energy policy of the Western World? Sure you do, gotta go Zero Carbon Footprint or the world's gonna die! You know, like rising sea levels, pandas dying, Manhattan flooded, Chicago undersea, all science like.

Such paltry, clownshow, medicine show, snake oil, buffoon malfeasance, as our rainbow hypocrite elite green leaders fly the world in their private jets and buy beachfront mansions in the Hamptons. What a fraudulent scam from the get go, but look what's happened in their insane, satanic, lust for power and wealth.

Here's Zero:

Hilariously, the push for coal is being led by Europe, ground zero of the "green movement" which finally realized that one can't burn fake virtue or melt posing in front of camera in the winter to keep warm, and is boosting coal purchases to ensure it can keep power flowing to homes and factories after Russia cut gas supplies to the continent. Germany, which not long ago promised to eliminate coal as a power source by 2030, is among the nations now importing more. Economy Minister Robert Habeck called the increased reliance on coal bitter but necessary. Spoiler alert: Germany will not eliminate coal as a power source by 2030, if anything it will be more reliant on it than ever unless it also restarts its nuclear power plants which it, idiotically, shut down not long ago.

Never one to admit it was dead wrong, however, Europe has a response to everything: “Right now the sentiment is that more coal is better than more Russia,” said Alex Msimang, a London-based partner at law firm Vinson & Elkins LLP specializing in the energy sector.

Whatever dude.

I'll leave it at that.

ALL HAIL NICKI MINAJ

Popular, talented, superstar Nicki Minaj had the brazen temerity to speak out against biomed vax tyranny and the left went full meltdown. How dare a celebrity POC walk off the Democrat plantation. But Minaj, who is brave as well as a smash hit diva, doubled down, telling Tucker Carlson, “If you’re black and a Democrat tells u to shove marbles up ur ass, you simply have to.”

Minaj, who is justly famous, went on to slam America's corporate sponsored, neo-Maoist cancel culture on social media:

“We’re no longer even allowed to voice our opinions or ask questions?! So many of your favorite artists feel this way but they’re afraid to speak up”

What can we say? Starships were clearly meant to fly.

And while we're at it here's the awesome KLF:

What time is love? Time to love Nicki Minaj for daring to stand up for Radio Freedom against our self-appointed Maoist commissar thought police. Well done, let's see more of this.

Time is eternal,

Sunday Homily

"Faith without works is dead," says St. James the Apostle, much to the annoyance of Luther who felt the letter an "Epistle of straw." Of course it was, to a former Augustinian friar who held that good works were "like fleas on the skin of a dead dog." Tell us what you really think, Martin.

Still, and Luther aside, we instinctively get what James is telling us. If you believe in something and that belief isn't enacted then it's not worth much, it ain't right. Worse, it starts to take on the sulpherous, pharisaical odor of hypocrisy. And our instinct's not wrong, faith which isn't animated, which doesn't move is dead, immobile. It doesn't "profit."

James drives it home:

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food. And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

What doth it profit to be full of belief, such as to move mountains, but be devoid of faith's animating principle, which is love, the Holy Spirit. Benedict XVI puts it well:

Being “just” simply means being with Christ and in Christ. And this suffices. Further observances are no longer necessary. For this reason Luther’s phrase: “faith alone” is true, if it is not opposed to faith in charity, in love. Faith is looking at Christ, entrusting oneself to Christ, being united to Christ, conformed to Christ, to his life. And the form, the life of Christ, is love; hence to believe is to conform to Christ and to enter into his love.

Right on, let's act accordingly, and be sure that the raging, nihilist hatred of Devil and his anti-kingdom, to say nothing of the gates of Hell, shall not prevail.

Keep the Faith,

May Day

It's May Day, and the millionaire socialist bi-coastal elites are busy plotting how to spend other people's money.

Millionaire Yale Socialists

Notice it's never their own and I won't say a word about the recent budget's failure to account for a Wall.

C'mon, Yale Snowflakes, the Wall's Not Gonna Build Itself!

Speaking of which, here at the Compound we're stockpiling food, water, ammo and hi-grade sterling. Who knows when all of these things will prove useful. Semper paratus is our motto.

Yet Another Yale Infographic

In other news, Yale snowflakes have staged a hunger strike, prompting their colleagues in the hallowed halls of academe to hold a BBQ.

I guess that'd be justified and ancient.
