Patriarch Kirill Calls For a Holy War

While Western Christianity dithers, obfuscates and appeases its enemy, the Jihad, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow has called for a "Holy War" against the Islamic fanatics.

Speaking at a Mass on the Feast of St. George, during the commemoration of Russia's overwhelming victory over the Hitlerite Nazis, the Patriarch stated:

“Today, when our warriors take part in combat operations in the Middle East, we know that this is not an aggression, occupation or an attempt to impose some ideology on other people, this has nothing to do with supporting certain governments. This is the fight against the fearsome foe that is currently not only spreading evil through the Middle East but also threatening the whole of mankind.”

No, fighting the Jihad is not an "aggression" but a just war. Kirill continued:
“This is why the war on terrorism today is the holy war today. I pray to God that people all over the world understand this and stop dividing terrorists into good and bad ones as well as connecting the war on terror with their own goals, that are often non-declared yet strongly present on the political agenda.”

Now The Jihad's Really Scared

And on:

“Let us pray that our nation’s armed forces always and in all circumstances remain faithful to the spiritual principle guiding their participation only in the fight against evil, the fight for justice, and the protection of human life.”

At this point in time, the leaders, spiritual and temporal of the West, are unable or unwilling to name their mortal enemy. An enemy that's not even bothering to hide, very much, in plain sight, Islam.

Kirill and Russia have had the temerity to call it like it is. Maybe, at some point before the Sharia Police start throwing people off of buildings in European cities, the West will wake up.

The Religion of Peace. Wake Up, Fools.

In the meanwhile, a Jihadist stabbed and killed some Germans at a train station in Bavaria the other day, shouting Allahu Akbar and words to the effect of "Die, infidel pigs!" German police insist this has nothing to do with Islam.

Right. Perhaps the Methodists did it. Or Pope Francis.

What's it to be Germany?

Europe, and Germany in particular, is presented with a choice. Do you want this?

Or do you want this?

Or is there a middle way, an Anglican via media, that runs through the House of War? History argues otherwise. That aside, I'd argue that the left would prefer Islam, such is their hatred of the Faith from which they were born.

Chesterton wrote about it in the Flying Inn, and while you reflect on that, ponder the Pentagram in the COEXIST logo.

Syed Farook & Tashfeen Malik -- Jihad California

At first the media tried to blame the California massacre on the pro-life movement and then it was gun control and Christianity. "Better think of something better to do than pray, you stupid NRA Christians," went the chorus. But the narrative broke down when the shooters turned out to be Muslims.

Syed Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik, a pair of devout Muslims.

What could possibly have been their motive? And as you ponder that, reflect on the wisdom of large-scale Muslim immigration.

What. Savages.

It's the last Sunday of Epiphany and the Religion of Peace is at it again, parading Yazidis in cages, prior to being burned alive, and beheading 21 Coptic Christians in Libya. And lest we forget, shooting up a cafe in Copenhagen and threatening to behead and rape a pop singer.

Remember, these atrocities committed by the Islamic State in the name of Islam have nothing whatsoever to do with Islam.

Typical Muslim Park Scene. Note Onlookers.

That's because Islam is all about peace, similar to Haight Ashbury and the Summer of Love, only a whole lot more peaceful.

So why can't we all just COEXIST? You know, like ComboAsk the Prophet; who was like Gandhi but more peaceful.

Stock Tank Plinker

Finally broke free of Dallas and headed off to the country, where it smells better, you can ride arabian horses and plink about at stock tanks, which is what I did.

Good to get back on the horses, though the one I was riding seemed to think she was through about half way through the ride... some say this is common. Regardless, she changed her mind and we had a good canter about. Most enjoyable.

Afterwards stopped at a roadside Mexican place called 'Karen's', oddly. Senora Karen served an excellent brisket and bean tortilla; I never knew there was such a thing - and now I'm glad I do.

More seriously, and you'll forgive me for dredging up old news, but why is it that the MSM near enough refuse to acknowledge religious motivation to the Fort Hood shooter? Are they right to do this? Perhaps they're being 'strategic' and acting in some veiled kind of way to defend the country? Again, maybe shouting the Islamic war cry before killing people has nothing to do with religion. Or is it simply the case that we've lost confidence in our culture to such an extent that we're unable to rise to the challenge of an ideology implacably opposed to ours and pretend it just isn't there.

Forgive the lack of levity, on a happier note, have a blessed Feast of St. Edmund.

Shoot straight,

Slavers

In a characteristically irenic gesture towards peace in the Middle East, leading Saudi government cleric, Sheikh Saad Al-Buraik, told Palestinians how to act towards Jewish women, "Their women are yours to take, legitimately. God made them yours. Why don't you enslave their women?" Why not indeed. According to high-level Saudi jurist, Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, “Slavery is a part of Islam. Slavery is part of jihad, and jihad will remain as long there is Islam.” And for a fact, slavery is alive and well in several Islamist countries, such as the Sudan, Somalia, Niger, Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, to name several.

But perhaps we needn't go so far afield to find the kind of human subjagation endorsed by the Koran, here in the West we've been at something like it for several generations. Belloc had this to say:

"The more the State steps in to enforce conditions of security and sufficiency; the more it regulates wages, provides compulsory insurance, doctoring, education, and in general takes over the lives of the wage-earners, for the benefit of the companies and men employing the wage-earners, the more is this condition of semi-slavery accentuated. And if it be continued for, say, three generations, it will become so thoroughly established as a social habit and frame of mind that there may be no escape from it in the countries where State Socialism of this kind has been forged and riveted on the body politic.

In
Europe, England in particular (but many other countries in a lesser degree) has bound itself to this system. Below a certain level of income a man is guaranteed a bare subsistence should he be out of employment. It is doled out to him by public officials at the expense of losing human dignity. Every circumstance of his family is examined; he is even more in the hands of these officials when out of employment than in the hands of his employer when employed. The thing is still in transition; the mass of men do not yet see to what goal they are tending; but the neglect of human dignity, the potential, if not actual, denial of the doctrine of free will, have led by a natural consequence to what are already semi-servile institutions. These will become fully servile institutions as time goes on." Belloc, An Essay Against Communism

I think Belloc was right; the "servile state" that he prophecied so accurately is surely a natural consequence of our ongoing retreat from the Incarnational Faith which endows mankind with inalienable worth. With that foundation abandoned, freedom becomes an exercise in dictatorship and the triumph of the strongest will.

Perhaps, then, it's no accident that we see the Socialist Worker's Party marching in step with Jihadi terrorists, for both deny in their separate ways the real value of the human person and are slavers, united in their attack on what was once christendom. The question is, do we have the conviction to fight back the assault?

Just a thought!
