The Church of England Is So Very Awesome

The venerable Church of England's attracting hundreds of thousands of Britons to its pews because it's so  very, very gay. Except that it it's not, COE numbers are plummeting and that's really weird because all the millions of LGBTQ+ people in the UK should be flocking to the nation's premiere rainbow conventicle. But they're not.

So strange. Now that the throne of Augustine's so gaily inclusive, all the colors of the rainbow, you'd think it would have grown by leaps and bounds. Unless we go gay, said the pundits, no one will take us seriously.

Mirabile dictu, lo and behold, go figure, no sh*t Sherlock they're not, which is why the venerable if shrinking Church of England's average Sunday attendance has fallen off a cliff, from some 1.3 million people a Sunday in 1980 to a miserable 600k or so today.

And this is weird, it should be the other way around. Now that the UK's so gay, you'd think the gen pop would head to the gayest church around, right? But they haven't, they've stayed home, polishing the proverbial Baphomet.

At some point, gentle readers, all two of you, this insane, satanic craze will end leaving a lot of people feeling really stoopid as they clutch their dirty little rainbow flag.

Your Pal,

LSP

Makes ya think people actually Don't like having crap shoved down their throats.

And what the hell rainbows have to do with two guys having anal sex is beyond obtuse as well. What the hell is wrong with these idiots.

Millions of years ago when I listened to talk radio in the car, some moron came on explaining that homosexuality was the Pinnacle of Human Development. End of procreation doesn't sound like the pinnacle to me unless the pinnacle involves creating no more of us creatures.

Like back when men were convinced their sex organ was evil somehow and pounded it off with big hammers.

People keep saying things like "dumb animals" when talking about creatures who don't do any of this imbecilic behavior.

This all started when they started passing the peace according to Mrs. Beamish.

I think it was iowahawk,
Find a respected institution
Kill it
Gut it
Wear it as a skin suit and demand respect

Well, the fags pretty much killed the Anglican and Catholic Churches along with most mainline Protestant churches.

Meanwhile at the Washington National Cathedral this Lent, we have one of the speakers for Fearfully and Wonderfully Made:

Yolanda A. Rolle is currently serving as the Episcopal Chaplain at
Howard University and Associate Priest for Spiritual Formation and
Collaboration at St. George’s Episcopal Church in DC. Before her call
to campus ministry, she served as a curate at St. Luke’s Episcopal
Church in DC. Yolanda started her ministry in Boston, MA where she was
ordained by Bishop Gayle E. Harris to the transitional diaconate before moving to
the district with her wife, Simone, in 2015.
When not at Howard or at a local parish you will find Yolanda doing interesting
mathematics problems, playing with her puppies, dancing with Simone, or asleep
while a long-anticipated movie is playing in the background.
Yolanda was born and grew up in Nassau, Bahamas. She attended St. John’s
College (a K-12 Anglican School) before matriculating at the University of the
Bahamas and the University of Nebraska. While in university she studied physics,
electrical engineering, and mathematics. After teaching at multiple education
levels, she completed a Masters of Divinity at Berkeley Divinity School in CT and
Wescott House in Cambridge, UK.

Yolanda A. Rolle is something else!

Well said, HMS, I'm with you.

Ah, AOW, Yolanda!

Zhe's pretty special, don't you think? Even by TEC standards and the Diocese of DC.

What a great infovid, Pewster! I recall an old lady at St. Mary the Virgin Times Sq who'd beat people with her silver topped cane when they tried to share the peace. It was new then, of course.

Shocking how that church went down. Thanks a lot, EW.

LSP,
I'm furious that our houses of the Lord are being desecrated by sexual deviants!

The great American Prophet Flip Wilson predicted this sort of nonsense many years ago in his famous routines about the "Church of What's Happening Now". There are several Protestant churches that would fit his prediction that popular culture would become more important than actual belief in God and his Holy Book. And Cardinal Marx in Germany is dragging his church down the road to Perdition.

I'm totally with you, AOW, and used to be in the Diocese of DC. Poor St. Luke's, it used to be a great church and then went all to hell like all the rest of their apostate conventicles. But I won't bang on.

I 100% agree, gregBC.
