IT RAINED

We certainly live in an age of miracle and wonder, it rained yesterday evening. One minute a blazing hot sun in a clear blue sky and the next, dark clouds rolling in from the West. There they were, overhead, above the Compound, but would it actually rain or was this some kind of cruel joke.

No, it was not a joke. Slow, fat, drops began to fall from the sky as the temperature went right down and then more, faster. Not with the full fury of a Texan storm but not bad either, so I went out onto the front porch to behold the sheer bliss of the thing. Rain. Beautiful.

Then, all too soon, the rain stopped, but I'm not complaining, everything cooled right down. Let's see more of this climate change.

Happily,

LSP

Rain can be wonderful (if you are not being flooded). Turn off the a/c and open windows to fresh air.

Given that it's been raining high in the Arizona ponderosa forest every day for a month or so, I yawned, LSP. YAWNED. Rain is as common as mud... It's our monsoon and I take it for granted. Of course it's raining. We pay homage to the climate gods here.

Wettest Spring and Summer here in about a dozen years. No complaints, prefer green pastures verses crunchy brown stubble. Most days the rain starts building right as I get away from the home office, go outside to start a project…but only once I have all my tools out. God has a sense of humor.

"Pennies from Heaven", Parson.

We received 1-1/2" yesterday. It's glorious, but as WSF said...."As Long As It Doesn't Flood"!

Exactly, WSF. What a beautiful reprieve.

Yes, LL, our old adversary, The Weather, is a force to be conjured with. Glad you've paid the Weather Tax, maybe that'll stave off the new Ice Age for a time. When do you get snow?

I understand the climate's a bit of a thing in the highlands. For us in Texas, of course, it's mostly this savage appx 5 month triple digit summer.

That, Mr. Paul, he most certainly has!

Jealous of your rain, kyrie...

Beautiful, drjim! And yes, no floods, please.

I think we got half an inch or so. I thanked God for the rain. We certainly need that, and more.
You all be safe and God bless.
