Behold Your Rulers

What can we say? Behold our rulers and obey them, because we love them, in this case Mitch McConnell. Perhaps you remember when we reviled the Soviet Union as a defunct gerontocracy? Here's the video:

It's like wow, this whole risible, failed, abominable deal is so utterly broken that it's beyond a joke; go ahead, John. Mitch is net worth a paltry $34,137,534. But readers, what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and end up like Mitch? Just a thought.

Your Best Pal,

LSP

The War Turtle is as senile as Pedo Joe, Diane Feinstein, and Lurch Fetterman.

The guy had another glitch, locked up. What is with people who simply won’t admit they are beyond their usefulness then gracefully step away with honor? That must be some heavy duty Shameless Swamp hokum to keep them coming back.

Q: Do they even remember when they first sold out?

A: Yes. Quite fondly, in fact.

And if that ain't true, it might as well be.

It's what they say about power and absolute power. Mitch would go from being near the top of the pile, where the media hangs on to his every word to being an average Joe like you and me. Can't have that!

"I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to little ones. Yea, Father, for so it hath seemed good in thy sight."

That’s elder abuse. It was painful to watch. I have no idea if War Turtle is a willing participant in this shameful and scary farce, but even if he wanted to bow out gracefully, I suspect too many entities have an interest in McConnell, Inc to let him step down.

My Aunt and hubby had these "glitches". In 1973 the Dr. called them TIA's and when hubby started having them in 2011 they called it Alzheimer.

Paul M. People with these diseases don't recognize that have the disease. Rational though is beyond them. Until we get some parameters for Congress in place we can't do a thing about it.

I have a POA for a person who's deep in Alzheimer. Herding cats into a bag would be easier.

What if McConnell is acting in order to fade away with his largess intact without scrutiny, but with sympathy?

Try some olive oil on those gears.

It's just bizarre, LL. We've become a gerontocracy and, per one pol, the House is a nursing home.

Most definitely, Paul. They're DRIVING him. Abhorrent.

Dam straight, Wild. Consider the cost/benefit ratio of that sale, terrifying.

DOS, there will be a great reckoning.

Totally agree, Mike.

I know, Glasslass.

That in mind, he sure does look glitchy.

Ritchie, something's gotta give.
