Sunday Message

I know, there's only so much hideous degeneracy dawgishness a person can take, so here's a short and uplifting Sunday message for Advent III from Austin Farrer:

JESUS gave his body and blood to his disciples in bread and wine. Amazed at such a token, and little understanding what they did, Peter, John and the rest reached out their hands and took their master and their God.  Whatever else they knew or did not know, they knew they were committed to him, body and soul; they were consenting that he should die for them, and that they, somehow, should live it out.  The cock had not crowed twice that night before Peter thrice denied, but still he knew he was committed to Christ, for Christ had given him his body and his blood.  Christ’s body and blood lived in him, and Christ forgave him; there was no breaking of the sacramental tie.  We are not worthy of Christ, but we are bound to Christ.  With all the sincerity of our minds let us renew the bond, and pray to live for him who has died for us.

God bless you all,

Dawg Soldier

Check out this recently retired Colonel, what a dog, sorry, dawg. Seems like the pup wanted to play. How revolting.

Did the Alpha Rubber Dawg post any photos while serving? Surely not. It just threatens those who might have. What a #ProudPup.

In the meanwhile, how can we countenance this filth in Command? Air Assault to boot. Outrageous, and you can imagine the effect on morale. I'm no prude, at all, but this is beyond outrageous. Think of the Russians laughing, and they are. A. Lot.

Look, I try to support the team, I really do, but this is beyond.

A Coyote Story

A churchman called in the other night and our conversation ranged far and wide. He told me about his grandfather, wounded at the end of World War I and demobilized after the Armistice. On returning to the States he caught the train from New York (?) and found himself several days later in Valley Mills, Texas, late at night.

There was no one to pick him up so he decided to walk home, carrying his duffel, home being an earth floored house some 15 or more miles away. So off he went across country, and in the depth of the night became aware he was surrounded by coyotes, "They were all around him, he could hear them moving and he had his knife out. But he made it back to the earth floored house that was his home. Father, it wasn't that long ago."

No, it was not. Sometimes I take guests out to the fields and brush near my friend's range then, at dusk, we hunker down and I tell them to listen as the coyotes start to howl. What an eerie, unearthly sound. The wolf, they say, is their natural predator.

Cocktail Party - Yes, They still Exist

Do people even have cocktail parties anymore? Apparently they do, not least here in the North Central Texas Exclusion Zone, and what fun it was.

"Crazier than a sh*house rat!" said one punter and I paused, "What do you mean?" He explained and we looked out on the town's Heritage League.

Behold, diamonds shine brightly. And you'll be sure I thanked relevant people for relevant favors; I do not say that lightly. Also spent a good portion of the evening talking to our LEO bodyguards. Good men.

You know what? I feel a chaplaincy role coming on.

Myrtle Beach Adventure

There it  was, touchdown in Myrtle Beach, which is a resort town in South Carolina. But why? Because an old friend was being consecrated in the Orthodox Anglican Church and I flew out to support him. He's a good man and's had an interesting life.

art

Naval enlisted, went back in with a commission, did mysterious, arcane things, left to become a DC lawyer, left that to be a priest in the Anglican Continuing Church and's now a bishop. Well done, perhaps a movement from dark to light?

South Carolina bought the London Eye

Regardless, we set up at the Hampton Broadway, which is a hotel in a kind of ersatz boardwalk tourist development a mile or so from the actual beach, complete with artificial lake and everything else. I'd imagine the Broadway's an intolerable, heaving nightmare in season but it was pretty much empty this week, which was fine.

Typical light house street scene

Stroll around around the little thematic shopping zones and wonder at the glory of it all as you ask, "Why is there a Japanese steakhouse in 'New England Village'?" Puzzled, swing by the Key West "Hangout," ask yourself why it's empty and how can they afford to keep this place running.

what a beautiful bridge

Baffled, take rum meets rum meets fruit juice solace at Margarataville before falling back to an RV at the hotel, life is good. The next day, go to your pal's consecration at a small mission church a few blocks away and feel genuinely blessed by the experience.

Morning after

No kidding, what a good exeat and our party was curiously military, one of the recently retired padres had had the honor of celebrating the Mass in Saddam's former palace. I'd say that was braggable.

consecration

And now? Back in the great state of Texas, which is a country in itself, and a good one. Off topic though it seems relevant, somehow. Never, ever, ever, ever give up. I say that most seriously.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Yes, we're talking about Hunter Biden's laptop, it just won't go away. And what a nasty tale it tells.

Crack

Whores

Corruption

Imagine it was Don Jr's laptop, imagine that shark feeding frenzy. But no, this was the son of our anointed ruler, so the story was buried with the help of the FBI, no less. Will we see any justice? I'm not holding my breath.

Rock On,

Twister

Lo and behold, shock, gasp, horror! Turns out that Twitter worked hand in glove with the DNC to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, push the phony Russian collusion hoax, ban conservative voices and basically be an online agitprop arm of the Democrat party, not least in an election year.

Nothing we didn't know already but thanks, Elon, for taking out the dirty laundry and making leftist heads explode all over the planet. How dare he! Well it seems that he has and more power to him, expose all the corrupt mendacity you can.

In similar news, Brazilians and their military don't seem too keen on the latest election steal, the Chinese are revolting against their benevolent rulers and Dutch farmers aren't too happy about their farms being seized in the name of Green. Go figure.

Cheers,

Excelsior

The many readers of this widely read mind blog have asked, "What's it like, really like, at the Compound." A very good question  and in answer?

We The People - Warning Language!

Well there you have it.

Small Change Charity

The Pick 'n Steal hasn't changed much over the years and I should know, I walk there pretty much every day for coffee after Morning Prayer. A bit samey perhaps, so I've decided to change things up.

Now, instead of leaving the P 'n S, 20 oz tumbler of coffee in hand and walking with urgency back to the Compound, I stop and put some change on a metal box fixed to the side of the shop.

Day 2, there's lots more now, untouched so far

It's a kind of experiment. How much change will accumulate before someone takes it? So far no one has and what does this mean? That our small farming community's rich and doesn't need the money? Hardly. That P 'n S customers aren't thieving scoundrels? If only that were true.

Let's see how this exciting exercise in small change charity unfolds. Hey, every penny counts and get 'em quick before our benevolent rulers ban cash. Speaking of charity, I put in some time at the food bank the other day, helping to unload a truck-full of food for the needy.

What a lot of food! Turkeys, chicken, ham, canned goods, delicious fish and on, not least boxes of farm fresh produce. Great result and it was good to help out for a good cause. We don't want to encourage scrounging malfeasance but neither do we want to see people going hungry.

Just a random small business shut down. Thanks, asset-strippers

They say clergy should spend time outside their churches doing good in the community. I'd agree with that and must do more. It was, you recall, the way of the early church.

Cheers,

LSP

Cheese Slides Off Cracker

I took the call this morning, "LSP, this is getting off-hook, there's bad crazy weirdness everywhere, you couldn't make it up if you tried. Like the guy in a dress who's in charge of nuclear power, there he is, stealing women's luggage at the airport."

"Like for what?" I asked, "For the dresses?" A short silence, "Yes, exactly. Then there's the Admiral, Dick Levine. He's just this old man dressed up like a woman, but everyone knows he's not a woman, it's obvious, like Bruce Jenner."

But we're supposed to think the evidence of our senses is wrong, utterly wrong, because science meets rainbow and anything else is literal Nazism. Wow, watch out for those biology Fascists all you neutered soy serfs of the NWO. But back to the point.

We thought about this for a minute or two and my friend came up with a solution, it's what he does, "This insanity's too deep, it's beyond our expertise, we have to hand it over to the professionals." I agreed, "We're not up to it on this side of the divide, we don't have the skills." He agreed, "We don't, God needs to take them home, this is beyond us."

Apparently it is. When something so basic as the difference between a man and a woman is seemingly beyond our grasp, then we have to apply to a Higher Power. How he sorts that out is another thing again. In the meanwhile, gentle readers, don't forget that Baphomet, the demon, is trans.

And a minor aside. Why, if biology's so unimportant in the gender scheme of things, do people pay so much money to alter it to become a surgical/chemical parody of their opposite sex? Could it be that demons are driving this? See pronouns They/Them or in other words, we are legion.

Vade Retro,

LSP
