A few years back, during war games, Germany was reduced to painting broomsticks black, because they didn't have enough guns to out fit their military. That was even in the face of declining recruitment.
Their air force was mostly grounded, their helicopters were not working, let alone ready to be deployed, and their navy wasn't much better. If they aren't interested in funding their own defense, I'm certainly not interested.

Germany's navy was harbor locked due to the biofuels used was destroying the engines.
Same with their army's vehicles. The stupid biofuels thrashed all the engines.
