Yes We Do Requests

Sure thing. Here at the Compound we're pretty much always ready to fire up the juke box and play requests. This one's from Wild, and what a one it is.

Good call. And Wild, I see your BST with BOC. Turn it up:

Oh yes indeed.

So don't be shy, send in your tunes,

You asked for it. This clip is from an episode of Austin City Limits from 1981. The first fiddler is Tiny Moore. Better known for his electric mandolin he was a superb fiddler as well. Second up is Johnny Gimble, at one time the most requested session man in Nashville. He was also a superior mandolinist. Playing rhythm guitar is Eldon Shamblin who in the 1930s was considered to be upper tier on the instruments. All three played at one time in the Bob Wills organization. The mandolinist on the right is Jethro Burns of Homer and Jethroe fame. Though not featured here, he was an elite player on his instrument.

Ah, Pat! Band Maid! I have a sneaking suspicion one of my friends is involved with that crew. Nice one.
