That was a ghastly movie.....

It may become the California State Song. Very progressive.

Never saw that film though I like Edward Woodward. Breaker Morant is well worth watching.

Well, at least it's not bloody Morris Dancing.

Speaking of ghastly movies and made-for-Hollywood paganism, here's The Critical Drinker's review of the new movie Midsommar. Midsommar is, of course, made by one of the usual suspects and has been praised to the skies by the likes of Salon.com and Rolling Stone. So you just KNOW that it's going to be excellent.

What a great review, Mike_C! Kinda makes me want to watch Midsomar. But have a gaze at the original Wicker Man. It's all a larf 'til you wake up in a cage and it's ON FIRE.

A classic, Jim.

LL, I may have to retitle the post.

I like the pub scene, drjim. Scary, eh? Well, that's paganism for you.

I only remember the last scene or two, where Edward Woodward meets his untimely demise.....
