Mother's Day Prayer

Now that everyone's recovered from the uplifting effects of Maxine Waters street art, here's a prayer for Mother's Day:

Mary, on this day when we honor all mothers, we turn to you. We thank the Lord whom you serve for the great gift of motherhood. Never has it been known that anyone who sought your intercession was left unaided by grace.
Dear Mother, thank you for your "Yes" to the invitation of the angel which brought heaven to earth and changed human history. You opened yourself to God's word and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
Dear mother, intercede for all of our mothers. Ask your Divine Son to give them the grace of surrendered love so that they could join with you in giving their own "Fiat." May they find daily strength to say yes to the call to the sacrificial love - the very heart of the vocation of motherhood. May their love and witness be a source of great inspiration for all of us called to follow your Son.
On this Mothers day, Mother of the Word Incarnate, pray for us who have recourse to you.

God bless,

LSP

Mother's Day Street Art

It's Mother's Day and what better way to get the celebration off to a good start than some awesome Maxine Waters street art?

Well done, Sabo. Thank you for the powerful infographics.

Have a great day and congratulations to all our mothers.

God bless,

Tornado Eschaton

If you're a millionaire socialist, like Russell Brand, or Hillary Clinton, you might not be affected by the weather. Just climb into a private jet when things go wrong, and fly somewhere else

I'm not so lucky, when a Tornado Warning flashes across the screen, there it is and there I am, in the midst of it.

That's what happened this evening. The sky turned grey, then green, then black, and big hail started rocketing down from heaven like so many icy meteors.

I took in a worried parishioner who thought it'd be safer in the Compound. Perhaps it was, as the ice rattled off the house like shrapnel at the battle of Verdun.

It was neat driving around the town in the storm. Good thing I had a truck; other drivers were less fortunate, stranded in the flooded streets. Maybe they're armed, maybe the're not. If not, they'll wish they were.

As I write this, rain falls down in sheets, lightning flashes across the sky and we stand here, resolute on the perimeter, magazines full and round in the chamber.

Go on, Libs, come and take it. Just you try.

Be safe,

LSP

You'd Better Obey Now!

The State Loves You

What was it that ZeroHedge wisely reminded us of? Oh yes. "It is not a conspiracy theory if it is a conspiracy fact."

You Have Nothing To Fear

But don't worry, the State is your friend. Unless you happen to be Jewish, or think that we're taxed enough already.

Power

Reeling from the above epiphany I made up some country style ribs. They're cooking low and slow on the grill this very moment.

In other news, Malcolm X's grandson is dead. He went by "Shabazz" and was beaten to death in a strip joint in Mexico.  You can read all about it on the internet.

Forgive the digression; happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Sinister

Nothing quite like a picture of a 'Clown Mass' to brighten up the day. I think the above liturgical genius was staged at Holy Trinity Wall Street, where there's 'more money than a trainload of Nazi gold' and an unhealthy interest in clowning.

Stand firm against the evil clowns and don't forget to honour your Mothers.

Cheers,
