MIdweek Muse

Are you all sitting comfortably, with a tall glass of Talarico in hand? Surely yes, it's that time of the evening when we sit back after the rigors of a long day and contemplate the workings of the world. That in mind, reflect on this.

The UK, you may know, has a tiny Army, Navy and Airforce, an inconsequential armed force which clearly isn't capable of defending the Sceptered Isle much less fighting an actual war against a peer adversary which lasts beyond a week or two. Serious issue, especially for an island which relies on open sea lanes.

OK, gottit, what remarkable foolishness, but here's the thing. When you bring this alarming shortfall up to educated UK Libs as in, "Don't you think it'd be a good idea for an island to have an actual navy?" they get all worked up and vocal, "We've got alliances, man, don't you know anything!" Seriously, that's what they say, we've got "alliances," and so therefore, we don't need an actual navy or the industrial base to make one.

Dear friends, I've met this argument several times, it's a thing, and I'm flummoxed. The UK doesn't have an effective military in any sense of the word but it has "alliances,' so that's OK. Alliances with whom? The mighty German Reich, the Napoleonic splendour of France? Plucky little Belgium? Spain, Italy, Greece, Zimbabwe?

Like no kidding, the EU couldn't fight a war if it tried because it doesn't have any ships, planes, troops or ammo. No worthwhile alliance there then. Ah, but one country does, even now, the US. Are my UK lib pals suggesting that the UK needn't defend itself because America will do the job for them while they import votes?

No, of course they aren't, they're pretending the EU is some kind of military power that can exist without US force. Good luck with that pretense, and bear in mind, Euros, that nature abhors a vacuum. In this case, an absence of actual armies and industry. That in mind, who will fill the undefended space. The Atholl Highlanders, USMC? Yes please.

As it is, I fail to see how a determined invasion force from continental Europe, think Portugal, Luxembourg or anywhere else could be stopped by the UK's non-existent defense force. Interesting prospect, Armada anyone?

Cheers,

Out & About

Well look what happens, you take a couple of days of to celebrate a Rodeo Wedding and look at this, LA erupts in fiery peaceful protests against illegal criminals being arrested for being, you know, criminals who broke the law.

tax payer funded commie

Evidently EL SENOR sent in the Guard and a battalion of Marines from Pendleton. Corrupt haircut Newscum's blaring out FASCISM! and BRING IT ON and perhaps SENOR will, they spit, we hit style. I hope so, it'd be satisfying to see tax-funded Marxists thrown in gaol for being the rainbow Bolsheviks they are.

tax payer funded patriot

Regardless, while paid astroturf Bolsheviks attempted to relive the hideous storming of the Summer Palace and failed, I celebrated a wedding. It was a cowboy thing, most seriously, and beautiful with it. What a great result. But here's the thing.

everything's gonna be ok

Does the DNC really think that going hard on open borders is going to win them votes? By the same token, since when did a country having a border make that country Fascist? I tell you, punters, all five of you, they've been driven insane by Satan.

just some comic

Word to the wise. The hydra-headed Serpent has a habit of discarding its toys.

Rock Apes

When you think Rock Ape your mind instantly goes to the RAF Regiment, but not so fast. Rock Apes, Batatuts or Nguoi Rung, people of the forest, are evidently a form of apelike, bipedal cryptid living in the jungles of far east Asia. Travelling in packs, the apemen would attack US patrols along the Cambodia/Laos border. A veteran states:

Rock apes are the real thing. I saw a band of them up on "Carlie Ridge" in Quang Nam Province in the spring of 1970. It was nightfall and I saw them through a Starlite scope. 10-15 of them headed away from us up a steep incline. They weren't VC because they walked as a pack side by side in the jungle and not in a military type line. They all looked to be very broad bodied and up to 5 ft tall.

He was lucky, Nguoi Rung were allegedly known to hurl rocks at people invading their territory and attack potential aggressors with utter, apelike ferocity. There were apparently so many sightings towards the end of the war that the Communist Vietnamese Party sent scientists to investigate.

One, Dr. Vo Quy from Hanoi, discovered footprints and made a cast of the imprint, which was wider than a human foot and too big for an ape. Another expert, Tran Hong Viet, discovered similar prints in 1982, in remote jungle.

Witnesses report that Rock Apes grow up to 5' in height, are covered with brown fur, broad shouldered and show no fear, or very little, of humans. It's suggested their remote location accounts for this; having never met the ferocity of Homo Sapiens, the apemen attacked in ignorance. Or, possibly, they regarded seemingly weaker humans as easy prey.

Regardless, some of the few people who read this mind blog have been to those jungles. Have you seen or heard of these creatures? There's plenty of evidence that they're there, and I feel that they're possibly living fossils, like Coelacanths but hominins, remnants of our evolutionary tree, alive today. Or not.

Your Call,
