Lib It Up Fridays, a whole new series, and because we've been fasting, it's Friday, we might be able to stomach what follows. Or not. I present to you, the reader, Sarah Mullally, the new Archbishop of Canterbury. Behold.
Sic transit Saepius Officio, apostolic succession in the Church of England. Like wow, top libwork, COE. Are there other libs out there, raging libs, demented libs, lying libs, insane libs, revolutionary libs? Sure there are, but here at the Compound we give Mullally a sturdy 8 out out 10 Lib Points for middle management rainbow woke wreckery of a once venerable part of the Church. Apostolicae Curae, anyone? More to follow, many more.
Lib it up,

Today is Thursday. Must I wait a whole day to Lib it Up?
Dammit, LL, you have a point. Yes.
And apologies for time travel...
For those can't see evil walking among us, you are not paying attention.
Totally agree, Jeb, and in this case it's overpromoted NHS middle management iniquity.
Crusty Old TV Tech here. Oh Sweet Mother of Mercy, Pray for Us Sinners! The only positive thing arising from seeing that...that...whatever it is, it reminds me of the wages of sin, and acts as a warning and deterrent from embracing manifest heresy. How many Acts of Reparation will it take before the stench of sulphur recedes?
I would just refer to her as archbishop figure. A placeholder.
What has she done for Christendom? Where are the mass conversions of the infidels? Where are the heretics returning to the Church? Where are the holy works that make life more in line with Christian values?
I don't expect her to rise to the level of Pope Urban or John Paul II or even Benedict (well, the CoE versions, that is) but what can she do, religiously, better than the half-baked half-drunk street preacher who attends to the physical non-sexual needs of the fallen ladies of the night?
When will the body of the Church of England reject this disease?
I pray soon, else there will be no longer a Church of any sort in England, as unholy mosques take over the ancient land of Albion.
Mayhaps the ghosts of Harold Godwinson, Harald Hardrata and William the Conqueror can come and help bring the Cross back, along with all the other good kings of England and the sacred isles. And let people see how goodly and kind Richard III was, driving the demons of house Tudor off, too.
In a totally unrelated move, I watched "A Man for All Seasons" last night. They don't make 'em like St. Sir Thomas More anymore, but you can see that the rot of the CoE started way back then. "...but for Wales?"
Tech, what can I say? MANY.
Exactly, Anon, an Archbishop Figure.
Beans, I'm totally with you.
The COE? Not so much, it will wither, die and be reborn.
Outstanding, T!
