Today Venezuela, tomorrow Greenland? Katie Miller suggests "SOON" on social media, provoking Denmark to freak out and swallow its tongue. This will be the end of NATO! they rage and fume. What if nobody with an actual army happens to care.
Then there's Canada, waiting to be liberated from commie oppression. Except maybe Ontario, which can exist in a Rainbow Utopia all of its own. Also the UK, just waiting to be freed from socialist sock puppet Kier Starmer and his merry band of bolsheviks. But maybe that's too far afield, for now.
Have to take care of our own backyard first, you see.
Cheers,
LSP

Maybe we should worry about liberating our own country from the Uniparty, the WEF and other Globalist Oligarchies, the Corporate Media, etc. before we think about Hitler-style 'Anschluss' of our neighbors. If we did that, maybe they'd join the Union voluntarily like they used to.
X2
Night Wind, you make a serious point and a good one. That said, a lot of Albertans look forward to the coming union and kicking off Ottawa's rainbow yoke. I know this. UK? Mixed. Many would rejoice and sing, others would rage and howl. How many bankers amongst the howlers? Good question. But whatev, and per you, we have our own malfeasants to look after.
WSF, I like the idea of Greenland and Alberta being freed from Rainbow Bolshevism and the NWO. Here at home? Maybe, please, just one arrest. If we can do it in Venezuela, why not closer to home. I guess the home front's a bit more difficult.
NW & WSF -- I remember, many years ago, suggesting that the US took on an imperial role. Maybe it was around the time of the 9/11 thing. Bear in mind I was pretty much fresh off the plane from the UK and an empire loyalist. Ahem, anyone for a lost cause? Regardless, an older priest reminded me, "America isn't made that way." He had a point, which brings us back to the Roman Republic/Imperium. History does seem to rhyme, and hubris/nemesis with it.
Just a thought.
I'll gladly accept Greenland (from Denmark's grasp,) and Alberta, Sasquatcheon and Manitobaaah into the United States fold, but seriously I look askance at the other provinces as they are the provinces that are robbing Al, Sa and Ma of all their money and mineral wealth while not giving anything but bills and bullscat back.
LSP: The problem here is that Alberta and Greenland wouldn't be shaking off the Rainbow Yoke: they'd merely be exchanging the yoke for a jackboot on their throats instead. What would they actually gain by joining the United States? Canada and Denmark already can trace most of their problems to importing American Cultural Rot and economic hegemony as it is. Would our school system work better than the ones they have? Do they think that our Police/Surveillance State and corrupt lawyer-ridden legal system will bring them more justice? Do they want an economy with zero consumer or labor protections like we have? Will their Media become less controlled? Will their representatives in Congress actually represent them any better than ours? They need to think about the grass not being as green on the other side as it looks.
Totally agree, Doctor Beans.
I hear you, NW, but Mrs LSP, an Albertan, would disagree. Mind you, she does make me seem left wing, which is difficult at the best of times.
Per post -- I used to argue for a pax Americana/US Empire sort of thing. Fair play, it's an argument. But, to your point and I hate to say this, what kind of culture would we export?
That said, would Alberta be better off not subsidizing, for example, Quebec's daycare? Yes. In short, would Alberta be better off without Ottawa? Yes. Would we, for that matter, be better off without DC. Obviously.
Situation developing.
